"This messagebox appears when there are corrupted system files. In our case it's neither true or false." What you've created? A schrondiger windows build, where system files are corrupted and uncorrupted at the same time?
Ok so I have some semblance of how this works. The reason this works from the OOBE is because of a line in the registry where oobe\windeploy (the command that triggers the windows is getting devices ready stuff). If you switch it it will execute a command prompt instead of oobe. The reason it had the means to start during the boot screen is four letters, SCCM, they needed a proper enviroment for SCCM to happen so they chose the boot screen. If you watch an SCCM deploying you'll see something simaler to this but it's with an SCCM window. Hope I could explain some things!
The funny part is that you can actually catch the fake in the act if you have large enough monitor. If you look closely, the loading circles aren't filtered, so they're sharp edges.

Check your registry at 1:51 . There you can see you are actually not working with the "real" OS but into the "Installation OS" ( its C:\Windows\PANTHER --> Not C:\Windows ). This is getting used while bootup and "Getting devices ready" for example. Thats why you are stuck at the bootscreen and at the same time are able to open a CMD. You are between the "Offlineservicing" and "oobesystem" phase and as such the system is messed up as hell as there isnt supposed to be any user interaction while switching phases =D
This exploit works even on windows Vista but you don't need to trigger it (you need to add two extra values on the registry to make it work) Add these values to the registry: HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\CmdLine="cmd.exe" (string) HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\SetupType=2 (DWORD) HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\SystemSetupInProgress=1 (DWORD)
Thank you, Enderman! I already managed to open the windows 10 command prompt, but it wasn't the same thing. Thanks for helping me do this, I really like crash windows.
There is a way to open it, please note: Open your virtual machine, start with the installation of Windows 10. When you restart for the first time, it will start, and will flash the screen. At that moment hold Shift + F10. DONE! You were able to open the command prompt in Windows 10.
The possible reason why you drop in logonui is that the setup UI would trigger restarts when needed and would exit when no longer needed. When you kill winlogon it will automatically kill the setup UI and allow the post-setup stuff to happen.
@@NotThatEpic7492 And the reason why the system breaks when it thinks it is still in setup is because Windows disables a bunch of services to prevent them from interfering with the installation, including the User Profile Service, which causes a logon failure with your user profile somehow mixing up with the SYSTEM account.
3:20 When you end winlogon, it actually signs you out. You are signing out of SYSTEM, going back to the login screen (signing you back in to SYSTEM),and logging in to Andrew.
3:15 - It brings you to logunui because if you kill system loading process windows will thing first time setup ended and brings you to next step: LogunUI

probably you can achieve that by messing with default commands and registry. However, the system should be broken at some parts. A fun project I guess.
Enderman! this is an older video, but i thought i should add anyway; at 3:20, the reason why you end up at the logon screen is because, as a failsafe, Windows 10 (and now 11) will attempt to safely close running programs and log you off as quickly as it can. since there are literally no processes other than those needed for Windows to start, it just immediately boots you "back" to the logon, even if it's busted to all hell.
