Lunistice is a stupidly fun game and it's probably one of my favorite platformers ever. A challenge that I imposed on myself since the beginning was going for both S ranks at once (so all cranes + 0 deaths or reset) and that alone pushed up the time to 100% from your 10 to my 20 hours. It made the game a hella lot harder but also insanely satisfying to complete. Can't wait to see what the 1.5 update has in store
I just bought and played Lunistice because I knew it's creator and wanted to support the cause. I was really pleasantly suprised how well and snappy it played!
i actually planned on maybe speedrunning lunistice. the thing i couldn't get behind was the camera movement. im extremely sensitive to camera mechanics that move your camera automatically. i asked the dev if it was ever gonna be possible to turn it off and they said no. made the game literally unplayable for me which is unfortunate because i absolutely adored the game's art style and it really seemed fun.
oh wow thats really sad to hear, i feel like that would be an easy thing to implement into the game so not sure why that wouldn't come in a new update or something
Oh I've actually played the shit out of Lunistice, precisely because the controls are so good. Actually had an interaction with the dev before release, and they were/are really cool. Highly recommend this game to any fans of 3D platformers.
@@Nxcturnalll Absolutely. I’m not sure if a controller change was implemented because of my suggestion, but I participated on the steam discussion page very early in development and bought the game day 1. Originally saw it on 2020 or 2021’s SAGE highlights and my wife and I fell in love with everything about the demo. A lot has changed since those early builds, but the controls were rock solid, even early on.
yea i love the controls its crazy how good a single dev can do compared to like AAA studios; is there any place on UA-cam or just online that I could learn more about the development?
@@Nxcturnalll I think the best places would be the original SAGE showcase (if that’s still up) but the Steam Discussion page has a lot to dig through if you’re interested. The dev may have a discord but I’m not sure. Apologies for my short, perhaps unhelpful responses. Watched this and replying on a lunch break from work lmao
Lunistice is easily one of the best platformers ive ever played and its not close, after I 100%'d it I tried to sell it to as many people as i could and got a bunch of bored stares and "maybes". Excellent game, but I just don't think that many people care about 3D platformers that dont have Mario on the box
Don't you dare speak ill of the Dreamcast controller. The Xbox Button Standard wouldn't exist without it. Plus, it's more comfortable than it looks. If you really want to suffer, use the Saturn 3D Pad, its direct inspiration and predecessor. Imagine the left thumbstick of your xbox controller is the size of a mouse trackball.
look into pseudoregalia, another cheap indie 3D platformer based on the n64 era instead. it's a metrodvania that has amazing atmosphere and the best movement of a 3D platformer i've ever had@@Nxcturnalll

true honestly, mario as a name sells and for good reason; but lunistice deserves more

I playrd it
what the hell? hi-fi rush is not a platformer
true but it has platforming elements and to be real with you, my brain completely blanked out on other platformers lol
