Ever since Marvel's Spider-Man 2 released and shown us new suits for Peter and Miles known as Anti-Venom suit for Peter and Evolved Suit for Miles, they've been getting a ton of hate, mostly for the Evolved Suit however the Anti-Venom suit has its fair share of hate for the design and story implications.

To be honest, as a Game Developer, the Anti-Venom is genius! Not only it visually shows Peter's growth during the game, but also let the player use the Symbionte Abilities without hurting the story. Good job, Insomniac!
Yeah good job making Anti-venom lose to venom and making Miles defeat Venom twice with only is default power, he even defeats Peter with the Black suit. lol A good example of Gary sue.

Miles had the help of the bell to defeat symbiote peter, and this is right after kraven was using the bell to hurt him too. and it took both spider-men to defeat venom. it was still the anti-venom that took down venom once and for all, and lets not forget, did major damage to venom before miles fought him.
@@robloxuploder1 They can't just look at it and think that this is a version of Venom that's really powerful and needed two Spider-Men to stop him rather they have to think they nerfed Peter instead. I honestly think it's cooler that Venom was so powerful he needed two Spider-Men to stop him but whatever.
Also Peter is stronger now than he was before the Symbiote and Anti-Venom he even tells MJ in the game that "It's like i have all of the power but the voices are gone", and even with that power boost he needed Miles's help not because he's weak but because this version of Venom is just really insanely powerful, he's probably the most powerful Venom outside of comics.
I think the problem is the fact it's supposed to be able to beat venom and can't.
@@CAPEDCRUSADER3900 yeah venom is just cracked i think they made him actually way too strong, the only thing is that he needed the meteoryte fragment to get all that power but other than that he was WAY too strong, and could fly too btw, and also was able to do other symbiotes like scream FROM THE GET GO, like wHaT? I love antivenom as a symbiote and the Reddit thing is what I’ve been saying the whole time. It’s fitting that Pete would get the healing anti symbiote symbiote suit, and it’s a twist on the black suit arc I really love. Personally I hope this stays as the “Thing” for Pete for the insomniac universe

I'm kind of suspecting Insomniac to do dlc's like they did in the first game. In the first two they can do chameleon and Dare Devil while Peter takes his break. Then Pete comes back for the third carnage dlc chapter with the anti-venom suit.
If it's like the comics the Anti-Venom is bonded to Peter's white blood cells so he'll always have the power of the Symbiote.

Hopefully they’ll fix that in post at some point considering that his webs are still black when he uses the black suits, why should his tentacles by white when he’s using black ones to swing? I think it’s a glitch or an oversight rather than an intentional feature, my main issue with the suit is that he goes back to using his web shooters to swing when he could use the white tendrils to do it, it just doesn’t look at cool as swinging with the black suit

i think people need to get their eyes checked if they HATE this suit.
My only nitpick with this suit is I wish it had orange eyes like the comics

That could have been the surge mode design. What a shame.
There is always SM3 plus Agent Anti-Venom lacked the orange eyes. Likely cause they were going for a more suit look compared to Eddie who is used to the more monster like look or Venom. So there is that. But for all we know we could get an Anti-Venom skin based on Eddie Brock's version. If they do, I hope the mouth moves. That was my only complaint with Ghost Spider his mouth didn't move when he spoke.
I think it would’ve looked better without the black underarms but instead having a black face with orange eyes like the comic anti venom

In an interview with Brian the creative director he said the main reason they gave Peter the Anti-Venom suit was to make sure fans wouldn’t be upset they lost the symbiote powers after Peter got the Symbiote off and it went back to Harry
I mean there are some small things I wish was different on the suit but I would give it a solid 8/10. I was so happy to see Peter with the anti- venom suit, and I’m so curious to see if it’s going to be a mean stay in the future of these games.

I mean, bear in mind that Anti-Venom can take any form its host wants. So, by SM3, they could rework it to be better. Plus, we could get an Agent Anti-Venom/Venom Skin we can wear over it.

@faded-viper3516 I more meant it as a costume for Peter, but yeah, they could have Anti-Venom spawn a new Anti-Symbiote for Harry or Peter finds a way to replicate it by SM3, and Norman is just to stubborn to let Peter give it to Harry afraid it will be Venom all over again until the end with the 3 or maybe 4 Spiders teaming up against Norman, Otto, and whoever else they have. I say four on the off chance Cindy Moon joins them as Silk. Since she was teased at the end and all.

I've always loved the idea of Peter reuniting with the symbiote and rehabilitating it to be better so I'm perfectly fine with Pete keeping anti venom for the rest of the series
Pretty much all of Peter’s canon suits designed by Insomniac mean something in the story, discounting the Velocity Suit as that was a Comic Tie In suit. The Advanced Suit was Peter accepting help from Otto to design a better suit, and it’s Peter’s way of representing someone like a father figure for him, in fact, the reason why Peter wears the suit in the first game’s DLC and Miles Morales is because it reminds him of the better side of Otto even though he has the access to the Anti-Ock suit. The Anti-Ock suit is a representation of Peter’s mindset that he wants to help Otto, that he still believes he can be saved, even though he can’t be, it’s a representation of Peter’s idea of rehabilitation. The change back to Advanced also represents that Peter has failed to rehabilitate Otto, even if he still believes in the best of him, hence the Advanced suit. The Symbiote suit is the worst of Peter, bringing out everything that he’s gone through, his deepest thoughts, whereas the Anti-Venom suit is a physical representation of the fact that Peter’s actions with the Symbiote will forever stay with him, but it’s also a sign that people can truly redeem themselves, mainly Martin Li, it’s his redemption. They all mean something.
Personally, I really like the suit. Maybe has a bit too much segmentation in the black panels, specifically on the legs, but really good other than that. I love the eye shape too, even if they probably should look more organic.
In terms of story, I can totally see why some people think the black suit storyline is undermined, but I disagree. Peter did choose to give up the black suit, and did not choose to get the Anti-Venom suit. Miles and Li just gave it to him. Peter still came to that realization that the black suit corrupted him and escaped it, and because of that, I still think it holds impact.

I was so excited when Peter got the anti venom suit bc it’s so cool and I got symbiote powers back but after the story I realized the tendrils stay white after changing to a black symbiote. That’s my only problem but that’s not related to the suit

I mean one way to look at it is the regular Symbiote Suit is Peter's anger, his darker thoughts and feelings with it being enhanced by an Alien whilst the Anti Venom Suit is Peter's positive emotions and feelings everything good about him and why it shares no resemblance to the Symbiote Suit and why it looks more like the Advanced Suit because it's just Peter Parker and everything he is as a good man.

I like the suit, but had we gotten an inverted version of insomniacs black suit, where the armored parts were white and the “gooey” parts of the suit were black…THAT…would be a super solid anti venom suit. In my opinion of course.

It seems like the Devs just can't help but overdesign their suits, adding random lines, making the spiders ginormous and blocky. If they just had the suit without the black lines on his arms and waist it would be perfect. Miles' suit is a whole other can of worms, everything from the exposed hair to the way way over designed Spider/colors is just very very out there for a canon suit. It feels like a concept art that should've been on the cutting room floor.
Yeah, that's what happens when you make your suits different from what they are in the comics etc, not much we can do but hope the future iterations and changes make them better

I don’t think it’s hate towards the suit, I think it’s more hate towards the fact that the abilities that come with it don’t look good unless you’re wearing a white suit

The anti Venom suit reminds me of Gwen's Symbiote in her comics with how she has full control of it (if you don't know she uses it 24/7 because E65 Cindy moon takes her powers)

For me, it's the eyes. They are just so massive and weirdly sharp. They have grown on me quite a bit over time, but I definitely didn't like the suit at first.
I think that this suit is not that bad. I just think the anti venom style for the classic black suit captures the feel better. Anyways though, great video keep it up❤

Oh no, no, no. This suit is perfect for me. I’ve always loved the Future foundation suit in the first game, so this suit is just straight up favors me.
I think in the next game Peter should be on a break for a while, and then there should be a dramatic scene where Miles is in big trouble or about to die, you know and needs help and right before Miles is about to get hit or something a white tendril reaches out and saves him and its Peter making his return.
I personally think they should not have included the anti-venom suit. I understand that they want players to be able to continue to use the venom suit but I think it would've served a better experience overall if we did not. To elaborate, the black symbiote suit is meant to feel like a addiction, a power up that we do not want to give up. But part of the experience is to be spiderman without the symbiote and feel how much weaker you are and yet fight through the addiction and not give into temptation. Getting the AV suit is like getting the high from being on heroine with none of the drawbacks. I think the best comparison is to FF7 where Aerith (spoilers) dies and you feel how much harder the game is without a healer. That weight haunts you for the rest of the playthrough and make the game that much more immersive. Now in the context of spiderman 2, it would be like if Aerith dies and 20 mins later you get Aerith 2.0 who does the exact same thing. Getting anti-venom (although not a big deal as the story overall is still good) definitely made the experience a little more cheap. I think Spiderman 2 PS5 was almost a perfect game but they chose the comfortable route instead of the difficult but more interesting route. (game is still good but horribly rushed for money prob :/)
The Antivenom suit is great. Honestly, I prefer it's design to the Insomniac Symbiote Suit. Always thought the black suit looked too padded and armor-like and would've preferred if it had a similar, sleek texture as the Antivenom suit.

I actually LOVE the Anti-Venom suit. The design is beautiful. While the black suit looks like sentient armor, and the Symbiote one looks like an alien humanoid, the Anti-Venom suit looks like a suit that Peter is in full control of. He looks more heroic while the previous suits made him look more like a ballistic warrior.
I like that Peter gets to keep the Symbiote powers. Hopefully in the next game he still has them and the powers evolve.
If anything I would have loved for Peter to become the full Anti-Venom at some point, maybe as a last resort against Venom in the las boss fight and being able to turn into Anti-Venom to free roam after finishing the game, like to keep the gameplay of Venom we managed to get a little tease during the story.
It's weird to me. I liked the suit at first, but after wearing it for that many missions without being able to change, it's not that good to me anymore. I'd much rather have an extra style for it, where the colors are inverted. I loved the concept of the suit, but I just wish there was a little more going on with the suit's design overall. ...I just really wish there were alternate styles for the Anti-Venom suit. Maybe in a future update.. probably not.

It's still a better forced suit than mophead adidas spiderman (don't mean to sound offensive with this btw, it's just that miles' hairstyle doesn't work as well for his suit than other spideys that do it in their designs, literally just looks like the end of a mop was put onto the mask of his original suit)
If just the eyes were black it would boost this suit to A tier for me. If they made an alternate white variant for the symbiote suit (the one u get later on) probably would’ve placed it in A+ or even S. I’ve been using the classic symbiote suite (white variant) while using anti venom powers in the end game

I really don’t like how they gave Peter the anti-Venom suit. In most versions of the symbiote saga Venom was scary because you didn’t know if Peter was going to be able to defend him because he has all the powers Peter has and more. So when he does defeat Venom it proves that peter was right for getting rid of the suit and he is better without it. Giving him another suit Ruins all that.

A big gripe I have is why didn't he make the anti-venom suit on harry when he was dying in the end. Like peter said himself it felt like the power but none of bad like venom.

I’m fairly certain that most of the hate stems from the fact that you aren’t able to change the symbiote abilities back to the black symbiote post game, even when you wear a black suit(or the Symbiote Suit).
If you could, odds are the hate wouldn’t be nearly as bad as it is now.
Okay… I think the concept is really cool. The ONLY reason why I don’t like the suit a ton. is because it makes me think of the future foundation suit from the comics and not anti venom. And when I wear an anti venom suit I want to be reminded of anti venom. I still like it as a suit though…
I love that I have just enjoyed this game as a good game and know nothing about the comics or the half-dozen film reboots. A better example I cannot name of how knowing too much can be a bad thing.
I love how in the end game the anti-Venom suit is used like the devil trigger and Devil May cry. It's so fun to use

It makes no sense. I know there's a narrative reason, but given we can be a 20fps alt universe version of miles and Peter, it's not unrealistic to have a different color scheme.
I think the story suffers in the sense that Insomniac thought Peter needed a symbiote in order to beat Venom. I would’ve preferred the Man beats the unbeatable odds. But I know they needed to give us a symbiote so the abilities don’t go to waste

@@iVoltexYT it’s a rare instance of the writers needing to alter the story to service the gameplay of symbiote powers. Which they did not do for the spider arms abilities. Those got to exist purely for gameplay, while the symbiote didn’t
Miles's white variant of his Absolute Carnage suit should've been Peter's Anti-Venom suit.
I really like the suit I didn’t even know people were hating on it. But, like everyone else, I hate the way the moves are white with the symbiote suit post game
It looks amazing under sunlight/good lighting areas where you can see the slimy details on it. Otherwise, when you can’t see the textures, it looks like someone drew the lackluster black lines on scratch paper and made it a suit.
Most hate I’ve seen for the suit are just salty “Comic” fans(who probably don’t even read comics) being mad that it changed the original story by making Peter be the first host for it.

The suit just gives a uncanny valley. It’s less textured than the black suit. And the todd mcfarlene eyes are a nice touch tho.
the issues I have with the suit are that the lenses really don't match the whole mimicking the advanced 2.0 suit look (it feels like a forced choice in design just to not have the suit look like a black and white version of advanced 2.0), the suit looks too bare and the white looks a bit pinkish-purple under certain lighting. I get that they were going for a McFarlane/Agent-Venom look for the lenses but it just feels random with a suit like this and they could've easily used lenses that looked less out of place. I would've preferred different lenses and the inner part of the lenses being orange and glowy as a nod to both Anti-Venom's eyes and Peter's Anti-ock suit from the first game (plus it'd make the yellow anti venom powers feel less out of nowhere). The suit could also benefit from more black to even out of the colors a bit (I was thinking some black around the mouth part of the mask that connects to both lenses and the nose would be a nice reference to Anti-Venom along with some black around the legs since that part of the suit looks extremely bare).

I like the suit for the story but athletics it’s kind of basic compared to the symbiot suit something I don’t like is how there was no line like “hey this almost like burns the symbiots”.
the anti venom thing he was doing at the end didn’t make sense like he never addressed the negative aspects of the suit and how it affects other symbiots. I like that he got it in the story but yeah side by side with the black suit the black suit was more detailed than the anti venom.

It's a pretty nice design, I only dislike the fact that this suit has mechanical eyes even though it is a symbiote suit. One more thing is that this suit looks too friendly ( I know it's supposed to ) but I would prefer if they added another version like the Symbiote Black Suit where it looks more sharp and dangerous with the orange glow like in the comics for eyes. Still a solid 8/10
There shouldve been an antivenom surge suit/mode thats more accurate to the comic version with red eyes and more black
I liked it and the big McFarlane style eyes as a reference to Todd McFarlane who originated Venom was really nice.
I was very disappointed when I saw this costume in the game. They should have made the eyes more round like in the black suit, removed the black inserts on the inside of his arms and made the logo like in the symbiotic suit. I hope they fix this or add the ability to use other anti-venom suits.
Personaly I think this it THE BEST symbiote suit ever, the best suit in general is the advanced 2.0 suit

I just don't like the placement of the black parts or the eyes shape. It wouldve been much cooler if it was the same design as the advanced suit but just white and black with the current logo it has now.

The only thing I would Change about the anti venom suit is the aesthethic,I would make the eyes a glowing orange color and make the suit overall more spikey like in the comics
One thing I NEED is White Tendril Webs with the antivenom suit. They have black tendril webbing for the black suit and symbiote suit and classic black suit. Feel like it shouldnt be that hard to make a version of them white and then tack it on to the anti venom suit!

ngl what i dont like about this suit is the fact that the anti venoms eyes are lenses like what you would see in the regular spidermans costumes instead of the odd bio-lenses that all symbiotes have for eyes, peter had it when he had the venom symbiote, venom obviously has it, but even also miles has them in his symbiote costumes
i didn’t even realize the suit was getting hate. i dig the design a lot. plus it serves a gameplay purpose to let peter keep venom abilities after he loses the symbiote. as long as between this and the next game he loses it i’m fine

Man how cool would it have been if they replaced the symbiote syrge with a more comicbook accurate look for anti-venom and had peter play like venom exept the killing part when he uses the syrge

Spidey always makes a suit to fight his villains. Dang webs are being fried by Electo, now I have a non conductive suit and webs. Sound dampening suit to fight Shocker, etc
I hope in the next game Peter keeps this suit aka it doesnt die in future DLC and he uses its healing powers to heal Harry in the future, I would love to see them keep the symbiote surge ability in the 3rd mainline game to balance it the symbiote abilities or something as I seen folks say no he has to give it up for balancing issues for the next game.

Only reason i hate it is after the end of the game you cant change the attacks back to normal venom so it makes it pointless to wear the blacksuits after

Yea that's what people do not understand but Insomniacs Spider-Man is almost like a new Spider man comic which is amazing because having a new way to look at spider man with inspiration taken from earlier representations of comics but also not afraid to change it up Venom immune to Fire is a Big example of that which I think many people dislike but let's venom look more formidable
You know, one of the possibilities of introducing AV into this world means that by theory, if Harry does survive and becomes a version of a Goblin, he's bonded with the symbiote even longer than Peter, so whatever leftover symbiote is in his body could potentially reawaken with the G Serum and we could get Venom Goblin, or even a version of the Demogoblin.
What I wonder is if they will keep the symbiote. Idk how I feel about Spider-man who is permanently bound to a symbiote, if it can do everything Venom could do for Spidey than that would effectively mean that Spider-man is now virtually immortal, which would just destroy any stakes.

As for the 'no stakes' thingy, i would double-down on Peter's only weakness with this symbiote and make him unable to get any rest during the main campaign in a next game (As Anti-Venom would get weaker and weaker, making him more manageable for whoever the villains are)

I really dont know why people hate anti-venom suit. It is the best suit, in design, skills, and everything. At least, Peter won't turn evil or be corrupted and be aggresive or something.
MJ also mentioned that when she was Scream she saw Harry, Peter, and the meteorite; I assumed she saw them all because of the give mind, showing Pete still had the symbiote connecting him
I don't hate it personally. But my main issue, is when you get the suit the parrying is this symbiote parry animation by default regardless, of if you have the suit on or not. Also the fact you cant change the symbiote colour.

I had a suit like the no way home suit and it used the spider arms.
I still can’t believe we didn’t get a spider cop suit.
I honestly took the anti venom suit off as soon as I could it’s not my cup of tea at all.
It just looks weird. The black under arms. The eyes are just off and the textures are just weird like gone off milk.
Even the recolour of the classic symbiote with just plain black eyes look so much better.
My only question is y didn’t Peter just give harry the av after the game to cure him

I was thinking man I wish Peter just kept the venom cus miles is so powerful with his own abilities Peter could use his own power and boom the next mission this happens it was crazy and it makes sense because of the main boss of the last game crazy
I really like the suit, ESPECIALLY with how the lenses change their actuak shape instead of just the black shutters to reflect his mood
Just be real. Ya'll don't hate the anti venom suit, ya'll just want the option to have the black tendrills whenever using the symbiote suit
I'm glad Insomniac is doing its own thing with Spider-man, but still paying homage to the history of the characters
the only problem i had with this suit was the black part under his arm
For the Anti-Venom suit they should have just done just the black suit with red eyes and the Anti-Venom colors

Ill be honest i think peter should've kept the symbiote in the first place. Peter is all about rehabilitation or finding the good in his enemies and i always found it weird that he never tries to help the symbiote and show it the good. I understand eddy kinda does but itd be much cooler if hed seen the bad influence eddy is on the symbiote and takes it back and shows it a better way.
If you have mr negative in a game that features symbiotes then you might as well include anti-venom in some way. Me personally I’d do a few changes to the design like maybe make his face more expressive like it almost his second skin, give it red eyes like the comic and maybe when he goes into surge mode he grows spikes on the suit.
