BTW it is the bassist who left, not the singer. All members of Lovebites are women at the top of their game who love to play metal but do not live the rock and roll/metal lifestyle. No drug or alcohol problems, no tattoos or piercings and as they say just because they play metal they don’t see why they should give up their femininity. All members of Lovebites are classically trained and multi-instrumentalists and are all around thirty years old. Miyako (black hair/Dean guitar) has played classical piano for twenty-nine of her thirty-two years to concert performance standard and the piano is really her primary instrument. She also plays a mean bass and some drums. She taught herself to play the guitar at eighteen or nineteen. Miyako became a mother for the first time last year. Midori (blond/ESP E-II guitar) studied piano and keyboards from the age to two until around twenty when, after dropping out university where she was studying pharmacy, she attended one of the premier music schools in Japan to learn guitar. Haruna (drums) also studied piano from an early age before switching to drums. Miho (bass) started out playing piano before she switched to bass. She also plays guitar and drums. (Unfortunately she left the band last year and Lovebites are in the process of auditioning for a new bass player.) Asami the singer has had vocal coaching and her graceful stage presence is thanks to her studying classical ballet for a decade or so. She also became a mother not long ago.

Welcome to the wonderful world of amazing metal from Japan. There are tons of amazing bands to explore. By the way. The Pentagram is on the right side. Actually it has been a sign in Buddhism in Japan för 1000 years what I have learned through comments. And even earlier the Sumerians in Mesopotamia used it 3000 years ago. The upside down version is hijacked in modern time but from the beginning it was describing the female. version. If you do a circle around you got the famous sketch from Da Vinci and then it is a mathematical sign.
Lovebites creates the best power metal because they combine elements of thrash in it that gives it a heavier sound . Their guitar solos are more melodic and interesting than what DragonForce does.
Chad DL, Their guitar solos.......dragon force does: Affirmative. Goes without saying! M&M are wholesome accomplished music readers, writers and composers. The future of a musician let alone a guitarist is the music theory supporting the compositions and the ability to execute on the instrument. The 2M's are limited not what they can play but what they are able to write. Their proficiency in writing creates guitar parts akin to a song within the larger scheme of the total song compositions. That makes the guitar solos appealing and embeds in our memories. I reckon the model of the Japanese music education for preparing aspiring musicians is a success. Perhaps the edge Lovebites have is that this is an intellectual musician and composers band. Outside of Japan, in this genre, these qualities are hard to find. Someone, not long ago, tried to elicit a comparison between Midori and Herman Li. In my opinion, the latter is without doubt a speed demon, but being a devil he is, that's just all about it. If I was looking for a guitarist in this age. it would be Midori because of the quality of the music attributes she possess. The business of music is in compositions not the flashy moves burning fret boards. How much can a guitarist offer or achieve in his music career if they could emulate Halen or Malmsteen without the ability to blueprint it: not much. Perhaps Herman Li should rethink again about the value of music theory. I have to put a caveat here: I am writing about a musicians evolving career to take music to new heights, not financial trappings, because no doubt many old timers in those studio days have amassed wealth from their fingers without an inkling of music theory knowledge. however, in this infotainment age, studios are no longer abodes that offer safe haven for inadequacies for musicians. To progress, it has to be going places, that means LIVE. Anyway Chad, thanks for lending me the space to express my 2 cents worth. Catch up with you another time.
Lovebites does much more than straight power metal. You should see them do thrash metal with a Slayer sound. Do "Break the Wall" live next, also from 2020 at Zepp Divercity. Miho is the one who left. She was the bass player. The band plans to announce the new bass player in August.

LOVEBITES is a relatively new metal band formed in 2017 by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums), but made their major debut just six months after the first stage. They are engaged in worldwide music activities centered on JP / UK / EU. They have already been invited by major metal festivals in each country, including "WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018", and have already received high praise. Hi, there. Well, you’ve just watched greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful, exceptional and versatile musicians. Their live performances are outstanding and they are so relentless. They played at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018, toured some European countries in 2019, and toured the UK with Dragonforce in 2019. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. My next recommendations are “The Awakening/ Hammer of wrath” and “Break the wall” (both live)
you should listen to scream for me. they got a very nice solo guitar battle in that song. lots of solos in general in that song. they have in every song they have solos. you cant go wrong with it to be honest.
All are songwriters, this song was written by Miho with Mao, their producer. Miyako, stage left, has composed the music for about half of their songs with Asami, vocals, writing the lyrics. They set August as to when they are going name as the new bassist. They conducted a worldwide open audition. During this Hiatus, Asami got married and Miyako had a baby and got married.

That's funny--they actually can go "Dragonforce fast" and have toured with Dragonforce, but their style has a lot more range and variety. Miyako is partial to blues-based solos a la David Gilmour or Gary Moore. You've gotten more suggestions, so I hope you'll check them out.

They not only play power metal songs, they also can play heavy metal, thrash and rock n roll. If you react their songs Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath, Raise Some Hell, Break The Wall, you can feel the different style of their music. For the song The Crusade, it more into Iron Maiden vibe.

me too not so fan with power metal but LOVEBITES makes it somehow interesting to listen (at least for Me) besides power metal isn't the only music style they're playing. think about 80's & 90's metal that's basically what LOVEBITES sounds like and.. of course they added their own flavours into it

BTW it is the bassist who left, not the singer. All members of Lovebites are women at the top of their game who love to play metal but do not live the rock and roll/metal lifestyle. No drug or alcohol problems, no tattoos or piercings and as they say just because they play metal they don’t see why they should give up their femininity. All members of Lovebites are classically trained and multi-instrumentalists and are all around thirty years old. Miyako (black hair/Dean guitar) has played classical piano for twenty-nine of her thirty-two years to concert performance standard and the piano is really her primary instrument. She also plays a mean bass and some drums. She taught herself to play the guitar at eighteen or nineteen. Miyako became a mother for the first time last year. Midori (blond/ESP E-II guitar) studied piano and keyboards from the age to two until around twenty when, after dropping out university where she was studying pharmacy, she attended one of the premier music schools in Japan to learn guitar. Haruna (drums) also studied piano from an early age before switching to drums. Miho (bass) started out playing piano before she switched to bass. She also plays guitar and drums. (Unfortunately she left the band last year and Lovebites are in the process of auditioning for a new bass player.) Asami the singer has had vocal coaching and her graceful stage presence is thanks to her studying classical ballet for a decade or so. She also became a mother not long ago.

Welcome to the wonderful world of amazing metal from Japan. There are tons of amazing bands to explore. By the way. The Pentagram is on the right side. Actually it has been a sign in Buddhism in Japan för 1000 years what I have learned through comments. And even earlier the Sumerians in Mesopotamia used it 3000 years ago. The upside down version is hijacked in modern time but from the beginning it was describing the female. version. If you do a circle around you got the famous sketch from Da Vinci and then it is a mathematical sign.

Lovebites creates the best power metal because they combine elements of thrash in it that gives it a heavier sound . Their guitar solos are more melodic and interesting than what DragonForce does.
Chad DL, Their guitar solos.......dragon force does: Affirmative. Goes without saying! M&M are wholesome accomplished music readers, writers and composers. The future of a musician let alone a guitarist is the music theory supporting the compositions and the ability to execute on the instrument. The 2M's are limited not what they can play but what they are able to write. Their proficiency in writing creates guitar parts akin to a song within the larger scheme of the total song compositions. That makes the guitar solos appealing and embeds in our memories. I reckon the model of the Japanese music education for preparing aspiring musicians is a success. Perhaps the edge Lovebites have is that this is an intellectual musician and composers band. Outside of Japan, in this genre, these qualities are hard to find.
Someone, not long ago, tried to elicit a comparison between Midori and Herman Li. In my opinion, the latter is without doubt a speed demon, but being a devil he is, that's just all about it. If I was looking for a guitarist in this age. it would be Midori because of the quality of the music attributes she possess. The business of music is in compositions not the flashy moves burning fret boards. How much can a guitarist offer or achieve in his music career if they could emulate Halen or Malmsteen without the ability to blueprint it: not much. Perhaps Herman Li should rethink again about the value of music theory. I have to put a caveat here: I am writing about a musicians evolving career to take music to new heights, not financial trappings, because no doubt many old timers in those studio days have amassed wealth from their fingers without an inkling of music theory knowledge. however, in this infotainment age, studios are no longer abodes that offer safe haven for inadequacies for musicians. To progress, it has to be going places, that means LIVE.

Lovebites does much more than straight power metal. You should see them do thrash metal with a Slayer sound. Do "Break the Wall" live next, also from 2020 at Zepp Divercity. Miho is the one who left. She was the bass player. The band plans to announce the new bass player in August.

You have to continue your diving into Lovebites' music! I am recommending you the song "Set the world on fire" or "Break the wall". They are not so "power metal". You will be impressed.

LOVEBITES is a relatively new metal band formed in 2017 by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums), but made their major debut just six months after the first stage. They are engaged in worldwide music activities centered on JP / UK / EU.
They have already been invited by major metal festivals in each country, including "WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018", and have already received high praise.
In addition, they are deepening their friendship with other bands, such as accompanying them as a support act on "Doragon Force UK Tour 2019" at the offer of Herman Li.
They disliked being tied to heavy metal stereotypes such as "blackish outfits and decadent lyrics," and defined themselves as "lone wolf-like beings" away from the flock. White costumes represent their will, and wolves are their symbol.

Hi, there. Well, you’ve just watched greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful, exceptional and versatile musicians. Their live performances are outstanding and they are so relentless. They played at Wacken Open Air, Germany, in 2018, toured some European countries in 2019, and toured the UK with Dragonforce in 2019. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. My next recommendations are “The Awakening/ Hammer of wrath” and “Break the wall” (both live)
you should listen to scream for me. they got a very nice solo guitar battle in that song. lots of solos in general in that song. they have in every song they have solos. you cant go wrong with it to be honest.
All are songwriters, this song was written by Miho with Mao, their producer. Miyako, stage left, has composed the music for about half of their songs with Asami, vocals, writing the lyrics. They set August as to when they are going name as the new bassist. They conducted a worldwide open audition.
During this Hiatus, Asami got married and Miyako had a baby and got married.

You need to remeber that their main genre is Heavy Metal, which is they did multiple types of metal, not just power metal..

Best band in history. Thankfully you got the departing member wrong. Asami, the vocalist was very determined to continue after Miho, the bassist, left. Her voice are one of the signatures of the band. This band have no equals.

That's funny--they actually can go "Dragonforce fast" and have toured with Dragonforce, but their style has a lot more range and variety. Miyako is partial to blues-based solos a la David Gilmour or Gary Moore. You've gotten more suggestions, so I hope you'll check them out.
I really agreed with what you said not necessary to be fast shredding or crazy shredding but a solo that produces beautiful melodic sounds anyway great reaction next maybe you can try this one not too heavy "A Frozen Serenade "🤘✌

They not only play power metal songs, they also can play heavy metal, thrash and rock n roll. If you react their songs Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath, Raise Some Hell, Break The Wall, you can feel the different style of their music. For the song The Crusade, it more into Iron Maiden vibe.

me too not so fan with power metal but LOVEBITES makes it somehow interesting to listen (at least for Me) besides power metal isn't the only music style they're playing. think about 80's & 90's metal that's basically what LOVEBITES sounds like and.. of course they added their own flavours into it
