Great info! What price do you pay for the King Kong teeth? Denis Cimaf sells their lower end teeth for about $21 to $28. Why do you prefer the King Kong brand of teeth? Last question, why do you use a battery powered grinder rather than the Cimaf gas powered grinder?
Good info. I've started mulching this last year. I want to use the knives. I know they are faster and make a better finish product but I am in arkansas and in rocks all the time lol I've just been worried that the knives won't hold up long enough to get my moneys worth over the carbide.
Marc, where are you located? I have the same terrain here in North Central AR. I am getting ready to clear my farm and was wondering which teeth will be best.
I've been watching your for awhile and I really appreciate the information that you share. I've noticed lately that you are very negative about your competition and the market in general; what gives? Are newcomers to the market driving prices down? I live in the Raleigh market and heard people are only charging $185 - $195 per hour. I'm a grading contractor and have done math on owning and operating a CAT 299 mulcher, and if people are only charging that, what's the point in investing $165K or so to make $20- $25 per hour? Ridiculous! I could make $25/HR at Amazon with no risk and get all of benefits. I hope you stick with it and the market whores get what's coming to them. Hell maybe I'll pick up one of their machines used when they bite the dust.
