Got this slider recently , it's great , and actually smaller than I thought . Makes you wonder why it's taken this long for anyone to make one so easy to operate , decent build quality , and a very reasonable price.
Yeah I agree, I held off for years from buying a motorised slider because the price was just too much for the amount of time I’d actually use it for work. But this one for just under $600aus is great. Very impressed so far.
Hey mate, nah, it should be near silent. Have you checked the screws that hold the belt on? Maybe they are loose, or maybe they sent you a dud. I’ll pop an example of my ones calibrating up shortly. Sorry to hear that btw!
@@videographerstuff539 No worries! I appreciate it! I suspect it’s a dud. I tried everything and it sounds like it just grinding the motor when it gets to the far end of the track, as if it doesn’t detect it’s at the end.
I haven’t tried that yet, but surely if total weight came in under 4kg and you used the low profile adapter instead of the battery grip on the gimbal that could work ?? I’ll test it in the coming days
Should be possible in 2 ways but with limited effect range due to the short length of 60cm. One way would be to slide the Camera towards you and adjust the zoom in post, the other using a focus motor for the zoom.
The one I use on the s60 is NEEWER Low Profile Tripod Head, Heavy Duty. That was so it would take the weight of my c70. I got a small one for the s40 as I use the r5c on it. NEEWER Low Profile Camera Tripod Ball Head,
nice review! i'm thinking i'll pick this up for my R5C and RF 28-70 to do some timelapses. Do you know if the timelapse function on the app will let me do long timelapses (like 3hrs or more)?
Thanks mate, i haven’t tested this yet. The camera input port on the slider is 3.5mm, all my shutter release cables are 2.5mm. I’ll need to grab an adaptor at some stage.
cool thanks for the info. just heard back from Accsoon and it can do long time-lapses so i've just bought one. do you know what cable i need for the R5C? I got no idea!@@videographerstuff539
Sorry I missed your comment! Yeah it’s normally 2.5mm to N3 cable. Kondor blue make one but heaps of generic ones are out there as well. But you need 3.5mm adapter as well.

That camera lens combo looks amazing, absolute dream setup you have there!
She is a delight, that’s for sure!
Did you have any issues with the calibration? I just got mine and when I turn it on, the calibration squeals the motor and vibrates the belt.

What a pain, hopefully it’s an easy return and swap to another one!
Can you attach a gimbal on it ?

@@videographerstuff539 please post it if you it works
Sample footage up now :)
Can you do a dolly zoom ( vertigo shot) on this slider ?
Haven’t had a chance to try
