- This one's kind of personal, but I figured I may as well upload it for posterity. I wrote the lyrics intending to emphasize the difficult emotions that I sometimes deal with being legally blind at age 32. Sometimes the fear I have for the future can take the driver's seat and those are the emotions that I wanted to convey with these particular lyrics.
I wanted to try something different this time around, so I wrote the lyrics without perspective to a person. In other words, I didn't use words like "I", "Me", "You", etc. Felt this was a fun way to try and mix things up. Plus it makes the song more about the emotions than me. Which I was kind of aiming for anyway.
DISCLAIMER:
This is NOT a cry for help. I do not believe it makes you unwell if you write down how you're feeling in a creative way. It's simply a form of expression. If you listen to these lyrics and feel you relate to them in some meaningful way, make sure it isn't for the wrong reasons. Emotions come and go, and sometimes the world seems dark. But the sun always rises at the start of each day. And each time it does there's a chance that something great will happen. Do not use my lyrics to justify a sullen existence, that's not why I write them. I write them as a way of managing my own emotions through expression. Which makes me, personally, feel better.

Lyrics:
A weeping blight in the sonorous glow
Creeps from behind and cries from below
Biding its time, the blackness encroached
Decayed and sublime, It seizes control
Hopeless in anguish, a fork in the road
A storm in the sky, clouds scrape on the stones
Fogging the lens, the future, behold
A torrent of black in the evening's fold
The sound awakened a sorrow repose,
A cry in the night, where the bitterness grows
The world will fade to nothing, alone
Reaching for something in vast empty cold,
The hand to hold at the end of the road
A moment in time to reflect on the fall,
Drown in the wind of the clarion call,
Whispers and cries as the dirt rises high,
Thoughts fading gray in the myriad mind
These words will fly with a silence so old,
Their Hope divided by sight and the soul,
Hiding the light in a river of bone,
Waking the night with a reverent glow,
The sound awakened a sorrow repose,
A cry in the night, where the bitterness grows
The world will fade to nothing, alone
Reaching for something in vast empty cold,
