Katie Strick, the Evening Standard’s feature writer explains the build-up to their disappearance and the questions surrounding it.

I have seen posts in relation to this case condemning the police on there actions and people saying that this couple should just be left alone I would just like to point out that a baby has died under whatever circumstances and the police have done an amazing job in dealing with this case also a police officer or member of a search team found that little one remains so may we spare a though for the police the baby wider family and community that this has happened in

We'd essentially cracked the case in Belgium in c2006, without having the killer's ID - that came later. The first half was in 1996, the second a decade later, once we had more context on local events in Brussels.

This was featured on BBC news, it would not have received this much concern if her father was a labourer. The woman is 35 years old and apparently estranged from her family, and therefore, the family would not usually expect to hear from her. The pictures shown on TV looked like any other couple walking together.
Except he’s a convicted sex offender and she’s concealed a birth from authorities. I’m sure if the father was a labourer and the above applied then there would be this much concern but a labourer probably wouldn’t have a multi million pound fortune to help him hide.

I can't help but feel there is more to the story than what is being told otherwise Constance, Mark and baby would not be in this situation.. they obviously love eachother as they have been together for 7 years... have friends and family been judgmental which has added to her distancing herself from family and friends? The guy was about 12 when his offence happened, with a 19 year old. He'd have been tried as a child here, and if the case of Jon Venables is anything to go by, freed long ago with a different name. He's served his time, and has minimal legal onus. They're evidently together, so this is a gross invasion of privacy.
