    Very cute set!!! About the application, reduce the number of clear base layers. When you get to the color, if you really want to dip it, slide the finger slowly, at a sharp angle and don't shake the jar. When the powder comes first in contact with the wet base coat, it becomes like a paste. When you shake the jar and/or rush dipping the finger, that paste will move and that's why the bumps. Try to use the scoop and pour method. It's easier to control where the powder goes, there's no bumping, plus, it is actually recommended because it's more sanitary. Also, if the color is bumpy, I don't advise you go with the clear layer on top. That only makes the bumps more visible and therefore harder to even out everything into shape. If it feels uncured, go with the step 3 over it and just file it how you like it and after go back with the base coat and clear encapsulation. Much love and good health! 😘🤗

    They were thick because you used too many clear layers in the beginning. You do need the layer of clear where the tip and your natural nail meets to blend, but after that, you go into the color to build up the opacity. How you went down the nails little by little to build it up, you do that with the color and not clear. Since you did all those layers of clear and then the color layers are why it’s so thick, then you still have to do another layer of clear over the color.

    With other nail dip videos I’ve watched I’ve learned that people find it better to use something that you can scoop the powder with and pour it on top instead of dipping. I think because dipping your nail will make the glue push up a little leaving it bumpy.

    Hello Vee , beautiful as always. I’ve done Kiara Sky dip, Joia Mia & Not Polish dip. Since they are usually short & simple they are not my favorite type of sets to do, but it’s work & money & I don’t say No.. but I love to do long Coffin, Stilettos & any type of art & bling. I believe the reason some came out bumpy, or uneven is because it’s best to dip directly ., Straight down into the the container & not shake your container. Remember you have a glue resin which is exactly what the dip is., So if your shaking & moving the container up & down side to side you are causing the dip glue ( resin) to shift from side to side causing movement of glue making waves or lumps. Try applying the exact same way how you did the application of glue it was perfect only just go slowly straight into the powder do not move of roll your finder around nor the container. Do shake the powder nice & flat in the container like you were before you dip every finger & your application should be flawless! They were beautiful even though you said you had a couple little waves, but nothing out file & buffers can’t fix! They came out gorgeous! Thank you for another good tutorial.🕷🦇🕷

    I would personally LOVE to see more dip nail videos! I usually do 2-3 coats of natural for my base as I build up my apex and then do 2 coats of color and top it of with 1 or 2 coats of clear! I love usually Kiara Sky dip powders & liquids but I also find sparkle & co. to be a good system as well. Can’t wait to see more videos on dip!!!

    Hey try to file the clearcoat to perfection when you get done with your Apex building before you add your color coats and then the color will go on so much more smooth you don’t even have to add the activator just lightly file the clear

    I so much prefer using gel base for dip, rather than using the glue and activator. The gel self levels slightly, so it’s much smoother, and you can do a couple nails at a time when using gel. Any gel base should work, you just put on the gel base, sprinkle the dip on (I prefer to pour or sprinkle the dip because pushing your finger in the jar can move the glue/gel which is probably what happened on your ring finger) then cure your nails, dust them off after curing and do another layer.
    Young nails has their slick pour line which they use with gel base, but I’ve tried so many brands using this method. Way better. Hope that helps 😊

    You did great!!
    I’ve been dipping for a few years because my nails are thin and it’s a good way for me to grow out my natural nails. I do 1 coat of clear 3/4 of the way up, 1 full coat of clear, 2 full coats of color depending on the pigment, and then another full coat of clear. It can get complicated when I want to add decorations that need to be encapsulated but I work it out. I use thin even layers of the base and once I have completed each layer on all 5 fingers cure them for 60 sec. before I brush the excess powder off and continue to the next layer. I’ve noticed dipping doesn’t dry the same as acrylic with monomer. Out of the 3 brands of dipping powders I have I like Kiara Sky the best.
    Now I’m in the process of teaching myself acrylic w/monomer. It seems like it would be less time consuming once I’m comfortable with it.

    I love using dip powder! Been using it since the beginning of the pandemic! As for some tips, Kiara Sky actually has a whole UA-cam page with a bunch of videos focusing on the whole process of using their dip system! That’s basically where I learned everything from ☺️

  • @deiwilliams6590
    @deiwilliams6590 3 роки тому

    The only thing I would say is add less base coats of clear dip. You really only need one full layer of base clear, then do the gradual layers of color, then add a top clear. That will lessen the thickness. Good job!

    @JuicyJ.86 3 роки тому +2

    Yup, I'm tired of seeing you do matte because that's all your last videos have been 😂😂 but I have to say, I really liked this one. I love glow in the dark things and I liked everything about this set.

  • @KMartinez1717
    @KMartinez1717 3 роки тому +1

    1 you only want to use 1 or 2 clear coats of clear powder and you want to apply that to the whole nail not in sections like you did that why the nails are so thick at the tip and that why the midsection of the nail is more wider like you can see the 2 little points sticking out and looking much wider then the nails
    2 you only want to do 1 to 2 clear coats of clear powder only if you are using dark colors that will stain your nails like Blacks reds orange yellow greens blue
    Anything pink brown pastel colors will lot stain you nails
    3 you want to do 2 to 3 coats on your color powder depending on how light or dark you want the color
    4 you always want to use 1 to 2 clear coats to protect your color because as you file and if you file way to much you will start lifting the color so you want to clear coat
    5 you want to brush off the product when the whole hand is completely done because the layers are still not dry you can make indentations on the nails
    I use nails files all the time I do not use a nail drill because I am too scare I did had one at some point but I kept hurting me and my clients even if I practiced plus in beauty school they showed us how to do everything with a nail files so doing my nails takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes that’s if my son is at daycare if his home then it takes me about 2 hours

    Been waiting for this ! Let us know your thoughts and how they hold up. I feel it’s def better for shorter nails/natural nails but would use acrylic for longer. It’s a nice little alternative or if you want to - switch it up. I tried Not Polish dip system didn’t like that as much as KS. But still love NP powders for acrylic use💕

      Not true, longhairprettynails uses dip with long nails and they always come out flawless, just as thin as acrylic. It’s all in your application and your level of experience. Check out her dip videos also using kiara sky dip powders

    I love your work, a little tip for color dip powders, you can seal the color with the clear dip powder and it will protect the color dip powder, also after filing and buffing , use the seal protect again and wash or use the swipe and top coat, they will last just as long as an acrylic set of nails.... thank you for your nail videos, I am learning a great deal from you

    Also, so it can be a bit easier you can use natural base , so you can be more aware of where it needs more application or where you have missed. I normally just do 2-3 coats of base then 3 of color I don’t do a last coat of clear unless its a glitter or color that needs to be encapsulated. So it won’t be as lumpy and you won’t have to do tons of fileing at the end you can put sealer on the base and file any imperfections, then continue.Hope it helps 😊❤️❤️ follow me i do dipp @deminails_
