saw them live for the first time tonight in Buffalo and they were fucking unbelievable. They genuinely sounded better than the studio version on every single song
That’s how I feel about august burns red. I can’t listen to almost any of the studio stuff but seeing them live was face melting. The riffs and solos and harsh sound they carry live like others bands is insane.
Vincent Odell i think they’re talking about when the song ends with god only knows by the beach boys, it still has that ending on apple music but they took it out of this vid
without that ending, this song, hell the whole ep even, loses a lot of its meaning. that was the song playing on the radio when the husband crashed the car and got his wife killed. that song, those lyrics were playing over and over in his head as he fell further into madness over the loss of his love. it's a real shame when our money-grubbing society fucks with truly artistic visions.
This video combined with the heaviness of the music bring a new light on to the day of judgment for a lot of people. The seriousness of the situation while finding out that the God to fear is here and to be feared, is in front of you. And without denying it, you can not deny it, God knows and here we are. This song is what that would sound like. Utter terror and colossus doom. So good
A Tear in the Fabric of Life, and more specifically this song are audibly and in terms of writing themes are extremely inspired by death metal and I love it so much. Only been getting into K//L within the past month or so but they’re amazing and all their music sounds different but all extremely heavy

Love this. I ebb and flow with metal/hardcore and this is the stuff I absolutely love when I dabble in the genre - heavy, chaotic, disciplined. Deadly song by a deadly band.
At first I thought the sample made the ep a lot better (especially at the end of God Knows), but now I don’t think it makes much of a difference. I do prefer listening to my CD fwiw.
