Pockets! Pockets! POCKET!!! I LOVE bags/backpacks with lots and lots of pockets! I'm an organization freak and I love having everything I might ever need with me. I'm one of those types of people that has to be prepared for anything. You never know when you might need a certain item.
I'm loving your bag, Nemenja. Thank you for the video.
You're very welcome! It's a great bag!
I have the 1st version and it's a great bag! Custom sized specifically for under the seat on airlines, sits well with the hip and chest straps to spread the weight around the body. Love it. Nice review of the new one.
Thanks. Yes I love it too. Have a great day.
SOLD! ordered mine! Thank you for a great review!
You're very welcome. Hope you will be happy with it as I am!
I bought this a few months ago on Amazon Prime day and I love it. I've since bought another couple of quick straps to give me a bit more adaptability when carrying trekking poles or monopods/tripods on the sides. Think I'll have this for a loooooonnnngggg time. Didn't think to loop the quick straps through the vertical webbing too until I saw your video, though. Thanks for that tip. 👍
Beautiful review. Nice concise information, great camera work, beautiful colors, perfect lenght as well!
Thanks a lot 👌🏻 😊
I just purchased this bag on Ebay from your review, great job, cannot wait to get it!
Hope you will like it.
I had a little doubt about whether to buy this Lowepro or a smaller Flipside 500 AW II. But after watching your video, I no longer have doubts. This will be my next backpack. Thanks a lot!!
Excellent review.. Thanks for all the details!..
I bought this today : ) I will try it next week on my trip to Swiss. It looks very nice and comfortable
excellent review, thank you! 😀
Very helpful review. Thank you! It looks like it's built like a tank.
You're very welcome. It is really good.
“I am impressed by your performance” GSP 😄
Looks good. My lowepro fastpack 250 has been great. For years i have carried my 15.4 laptop along with two bodies with lenses and extra lenses
Nice. I love that brand! I have 250 too and I love it! But now I have more gear to carry and I needed a bigger bag.
how thick was your laptop? do you think a 3cm thick laptop would fit in the fastpack?
Thanks man, I ordered mine just yet!
i really like your shelving setup, really classy and clean styling!! ...i'm gonna do something similar!
Thanks 😉 Have fun making it.
I really appreciate your content. You really look like Eden Hazard, the football player, amazing similarities, so funny, good job man.
Thanks. Lot of people are saying that he look like me 😂
Excellent video. I have the old version and it’s very very well built. But recently purchased a Tenba ROADIE HDSLR/VIDEO backpack that was new old stock for a crazy low price. It blows this bag away in build and design. But will still keep my old protactic after all it’s nice and broken in lol.
Thanks. Will check out Roadie too. Have a great day.
I bought this bag a week ago.
I had a Vanguard 53L and changed over to this bag. The thing is, it is a bit smaller than my other bag which sucks. BUT, the dividers and the interior is very well made and I am able to organize and fit my stuff better, so in a way I can fit more. But, it is smaller, so fitting my gimbal is a bit annoying, but it JUST fits.
The pockets on the inner lid are useless. they are SO thin that you can barely fit anything inside. Where the laptop pouch is (which is useless to me as I have a 17" laptop) there is a plastic divider. Remove it and give yourself a little extra space. But still, its dumb and you can barely fit anything inside. Closing the bag becomes a problem too.
My Vanguard had the laptop compartment at the back with an exterior opening unlike this bag, and most other bags. This makes the interior smaller.
Love the attachment points on the bag though.
WISH it had an exterior pocket for random storage of like jackets. A pocket that would cover the entire front of the bag. So it would not interfere with anything. If its empty, its flat. If you fitt it, it expands outwards. This would be great as this bag doesnt give me proper extra storage as my other bag did
Hi Michael. Thanks for the comment.
This bag is not meant for 17" laptop. I'm glad that you like it overall.
I wish that the outside pockets are a bit larger. But overall it fits all my needs.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I'll buy this right away. :) I also checked many bags, but this seems the best and it's also not the most expensive one.
I love this bag.
Iv been dragging the 350 version through brambles thicket and theyre tough , i use a d850 with grip and 70-200 permanently fitted . With bino.s and a 24-70 . A bigger 7" screen in the laptop pocket .. and molle pouches fitted to the outside .. i rate these bags for tough / rough wildlife work
Very well presented review. Good work!
Thanks a lot!
Well said very useful
a really great review, at the end you mention that our previous backbag hat better shoulder straps, can you tell me which one was that? as i´m looking for a camera bag with most comfortable shoulder straps :-)
Thanks man! Will it sit upright when you set it down? Won't it get dirty when you sit it or lay it flat in a damp or wet area? Don't always have access to a clean area when working.
Great review very helpful thanks.
You're very welcome.
Nice review. The product name is a real tongue-twister, but you nailed it! Expected you to pull out a 10 pound chicken. Deck of cards, eh. Watch out; this guy is a card shark 😁. Happy new year, Nemanja. Look forward to your 2019 videos.
Thanks a lot Paul! Hahahaha deck of card is enough for now 😅
Happy New Year to you too!
Perfect review! Would Macbook Pro 16 inches fit in it?
I have used this bag for around a year now. It's a very good one, very well made and resistant. Excellent quality. The only downpoint for me is the fact it is not padded enough on the shoulders. I got it on my back for two weeks straight in Japan last year and the way the weight is distributed and the lack of padding just killed my back and shoulders. I really advise not hiking for hours with heavy load in it or you'll pay the price physically. But besides this, excellent choice!
to be precise: I have the version I of the bag, not the II as shown here, so maybe they have enhanced some of the points I complained about :)
Thanks for your comment. The padding are better in 2. version. The bag seems more durable. Will see. Time will tell. Have a great day!
@@NemanjaSekulic That's good news then! However, I would recommend it more for street photographers. I'm doing wildlife mainly and believe me, you don't want to carry a big gun and all the camo shit plus a tripod in this bag :) I just purchased a Vanquest Ibex 35 solely for this purpose and will keep the Pro Tactic for street photo. Happy new year :)
Thanks for the tip. Happy New Year to you too!
I also went to Japan for 2 weeks last year and carried the 350 version 1. I honestly felt that it was perfect in padding. And the 350 just barely fit personal item requirements. Granted, my bag is a little over a pound lighter than the 450. The new bags are about a quarter pound heavier than the previous versions, and the one reviewer who had both says the bag seems smaller than version 1, but with better padding inside and the luggage holder.
I am debating on getting the USA Gear S17 as a backup/replacement bag though (my friend had one for the trip and it was great) as it is 2 pounds lighter than the 350. I liked the luggage handle, especially in Japan when in the crowded transit system (we had our carry-ons every day or two because of travel within the country. And I like the dedicated top for non-camera gear, and a change of clothes. And it fits a 15 inch laptop while still having a quick side access point. It also can be carried like a sling for moments when you might do a quick shot before putting the camera in the bag. My only grip with the S17, it opens in front rather than back, which is less secure. And I guess the lack of a second tripod/bottle holder may be an issue if I buy a tripod in the future, but the only solution I see is to use LowePro's system for both and still have quick side access..
The Mindshift Gear 18L also got my eye for the separate spacious non-camera gear with the laptop and tablet holder in the middle of the bag. My one gripe with the bag, no quick access to the camera. Again, not sure how to fix this while keeping both tripod and bottle holders without LowePro's system (as tripods are said to be easier to carry on the side for weight balance).
thanks for your review. just put it in my shopping basket :-)
You're very welcome.
Do you know if you Could you fit a Canon 5D mark ii with a battery grip mounted and a zoom lens? Thank you
Thanks for this great review, do you think I can fit a thin 17" laptop on it?
You're very welcome. Not sure about 17" at all.
Doesn’t it hv the shoulder strap which u can pull to adjust the bag ti help the weight distribution ?
Wow ..Gledam kritike ove torbe i preko torbe otkrijem tvoj kanal.. Vidim da imaš more zanimljivih videa i čestitke na tolikom broju subova i gledanja.. Drago mi kad vidim da netko naš se probije..Zivio
Hvala Bojane! Veliki pozdrav.
The waist strap is supposed to transfer the bag's weight to your hips. The shoulder straps provide stability but don't carry the load. All those black bands across the outside are loops to allow attachment of additional LowePro cases to hold additional lenses or miscellaneous items.
Exactly.
Thanks for the video. What model has the more comfortable shoulder straps?
For me... Now after a while, the new model.
How tall are you? For size comparison. Thanks!
Stuck between this and the 350 version, this one looks very large by comparison, great review by the way 👍
Thanks. Well depends on the amount of gear you have for the bag...
Could you tell if a 17" lg gram (very slim) will fit?
Amazing review...!!
Thanks a lot.
Nice review, really want one! Can't justify it with my limited equipment at the moment, but these things have a tendency to grow. Perhaps if I went to Shanghai and spent 12 hours in a camera store? 😂
😂😂😂😎 must go there 😊👊🏻
good review ! i need a bag that fits a Moza air 2 + sony A7 III with 16-35 F4 you think it will fit ?
Hm... Can't tell because I didn't tried with the gimbal.
I managed to put my A7Rii with 3 Sigma Art primes (35, 50 and 85) with a Ronin-SC + Atomos Ninja 2 , 70-200 f4 and a Zoom H5 + MKE600
Great review.
Thanks.
Can it take a nikon 200-500 lens?
Thanks for the review Nemanja. I just bought the 250AW version. Amazing bag and quality. Perfect for my 2 camera Olympus setup.
Is this the bag you picked up in your Shanghai video :)
You're very welcome. Yes, it is that bag 😊
Thanks for the review. What is the volume for the 450 and for the 350?
You're welcome. Not sure about the exact volume. But you can check their website.
Odlican review!Ja sam uzeo BP 250 AW II ,za moje potrebe je sasvim odgovarajuca, stvarno sam zadovoljan kvalitetom izrade.Kad ce opet monthly challenge? :) Sve najbolje, poz.
Hvala! Odličan je i taj.
Ovaj mesec sam prvi put organizovano takmičenje gde ima novčana nagrada. Kao monthly challenge je samo sto ima nagrada... Jesi li video to?
Amazing bag
Yes it is.
Gosh! I'm between this Lowepro 450 ii and Vanguard Alta Sky 51d. Latter has a little problem (improvement for nextgen model) with not-fully-open-zippers. Are Alta's straps better compared to Lowepro's?
I didn't tried Alta Sky...
Great review. Do you think a 16 inch MacBook Pro would fit in the slot? Thanks.
Hm... It should, but I advise you to double check it. I don't have a 16" to try.
I Love this bag, really nice & comfortable.
Yes it is.
Nice review.. 👍
Thanks.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! But if i recon correctly your Christmas is 6 days after us?
Thanks. Merry Christmas to you too. Ours is 13 days later 😊
Hvala lepa 👌
whats the difference between the 2 links in the description?
Really awesome description. Will it work with MacBook Pro 16 Inch ?
Don't know. I don't have it to try it...
@@NemanjaSekulic OK
How can the side pockets and the top camera extraction pocket be safe? There is not the same security as the rear zip on the back....some attacker "could" get their hands there without us realizing
Finally! I was looking for this bag for so long, just couldn’t figure out its name. Also, I don’t have any camera’s or gear as of yet, hope to get soon. But do you think this bag would work for clothes and other small items like power banks/wires/hard drives/playing cards etc only?
Because i really just love how the bag looks!
Well you can use it for whatever you want. Doesn't need to be a camera. You can make inside to fits your needs.
Nemanja Sekulic Oh so that’s what I was wondering, how do the inside compartments work? Like how much flexibility and if they can be removed and readjusted like a puzzle
You can easily remove them and reattach however you want. They are connected with velcro tape...
Does any one know if you can fit a 16” MacBook Pro in this bag?
Can you put a 2L hydration pack in the laptop space?
Thank You!
You're welcome.
Hi! Does this fit underseat for flights? This is the key for me, choosing between this and protactic 350 aw ii. Thanks!
Yes, I have traveled a lot with it since then.
@@NemanjaSekulic Thank you!
Can I put D500+200-500 attached at the bottom horizontally...
Don't know. I don't own it to try it.
I just bought the 350AWII can’t wait for it to get here
Good luck 👌🏻
Can this bag fit a PS5 disk edition?
Like the bag, but probably not go for it, because of pickpocketers. Would like to only have back access for the camera stuff.
I love it too. And if you want only back access, then this is not for you definitely.
Have you considered the Peak design Travel back pack 45L?
Yes I did. But I like this better.
How would a camera with a Sigma 150-600 sport fit in the protactic 400?
I don't know. Don't own that lens.
Is the inside rounded or square? I mean the bottom of the sides when looking into the open bag. I got a zhiyun one that looked like a copy and sent it back because the inside was rounded, making the dividers awkward.
It is not rounded but not a real square too. You have some photos on their website. Check it out.
@@NemanjaSekulic Yeh, checked their site and obviously it doesn't show it as bag manufacturers tend to suck at showing bag interiors. I'll ask around people who have the bag :)
I am also looking for a new backpack, and I can't decide for 2 months. I want to use it for photography, traveling and everyday purposes (I want to have only one backpack). So I am looking for a backpack which you can use for everything at any time. Now I am considering this product. Do you think it could serve as a multipurpose everyday-use pack?
I think it can. But it is not too practical for that. You can set your compartments however you want. I'm using it for my gear.
@@NemanjaSekulic Okay so I am still confused what to choose 😁😁😁, but I appreciate your honest answer.
Gergely Németh I have a smaller version. You would have to rearrange the Velcro for your everyday use. It’s also a bit big and the zippers are a bit stiff for an everyday pack. I think the peak design packs would be better for you.
I think the discomfort of the shoulder straps in more significant that you allude to . I have a couple of similar bags from Low Pro and when you've loaded them up those straps really bite. I typically carry 15 to 25 pounds of camera gear. And I'm hurting after about 12 kM. By comparison I can carry 50 to 60 pounds of weight in my Osprey backpack and can go 20 to 25 KM over rough terrain before I'm feeling it. Low Pro you need to study the designs of a real backpack maker like Osprey. I think Low Pro and other camera backpack makers are easily satisfied being a little better than the rest in the camera department.
how much space is there actually for the laptop? what is considered thick? my laptop is 15" and thickness is 3.5cm, which i wouldnt consider that thick...
My laptop is 2.2 cm tick.
Eden Hazard reviewing a camera bag! Cool!!
😂😂
Do you know if the Protactic 350 AW II will fit a Dell XPS 15 laptop?
It will not fit there. You need 450 for that.
@@NemanjaSekulic Thanks I appreciate the help!
You're welcome.
Have you ever taken this on board like Ryanair, airBaltic, or Wizzair with their very restricted cabin bags?
No. I took it lots of time to a regular flights (not Wizzair type)
What has changed since the previous model ?
Shape, bigger access points, think it is a bit deeper (not sure). Bigger pockets, tactical attach system is now better... But previous model is great too.
Im a big fan of this pack but they should put grooves in the padding that go all the way to the end of the foam , both mine and girlfriends make you sweaty in hot weather .
Sure looks good! But unfortunately, I too have (too) many camera bags already😩
We are all in the same boat my friend 😕
Well then you don't need it 😊
I needed a bigger one. Now I'm covered!
@@kwizmon Ha ha, true - my problem is deciding how to distinguish between *need* and *want*. 😁
Hahahaha I completely understand you 😅
can i take it on an airplane as hand luggage ? and how bad is the shoulder strap ?
Yes you can. The shoulder strap is 8/10
Not bad at all... But it can be improved a bit.
anyone please advise if macbook pro 16inch can fit in this bag? thanks
Same question for my 15.6'. Did you find out?
Hey man, great video. I have just purchased one and it has arrived today but the stitching is not perfect and is coming apart in various places, do you think its a fake? Also in my country, the product is not officially available in store so had to pay a premium for it around $300 so want to make sure it is an original.
Well I can't tell without checking it out. There a lot of fake bags in the market.
@@NemanjaSekulic I've sent it back. Gotta find one in retail to get the real deal. Cheers
Good luck.
Nice video 🙂
Thanks.
Eto ukratko.
Veliki pozdrav.
Do you think a Ronin S or Moza Air 2 can fit in there
Don't know. Didn't tried either of these.
No. I have the Moza Air, and I have to take it apart to fit it in the bag. It JUST fits inside. Actually, it would be better if the bag was 0.5-1" longer as its stretching it a tad. So there's no way a much larger gimbal would fit.
Absolutely agree. The shoulder straps of this bag are painful for long hour carrying. It also tends to spread too wide when the chest strap is not used. That makes carrying this backpack more uncomfortable. The edges are tough and relatively rough that may cause sharp pressure to shoulder skin to some people. I would rate it one of the worst shoulder strap design and material choice of all the photography backpacks I have ever owned ( including other lowepro backpacks).
Also the lowe back support pad is inferior and too flat comparing to other backpacks. It feels too hard to the lower back. Bad design.
What would you recommend? What backpack do you use?
I'm using this one for a while now!
I would find a "400 AW" version very interesting.
Have you ever use united airlines to fly and use this backpack? did it get on as a cary on?
No I didn't.
I'm kinda not convinced to camera backpacks. :/ I got Reindeer from Wisport.
Cool. What is your experience with it?
@@NemanjaSekulic Reindeer isnt camera bag. Its just trekking bag. It has better system for carring (you can regulate how long it need to be), but there is no separators for photography equipment.
To bad that it doesn't had separators. They are crucial for me. Thanks anyway.
Still your favorite bag? Looking for a new one.
Yes I still love it and use it a lot!
Are you from Middle or Eastern Europe ? My friend has a voice very similar to yours!
I'm from Serbia 😊
Can you fit a gimbal + tripod + sonya6000 + 2-3 lenses + water bottle in it?
Yup. Tripod and water bottle on the outside, and everything else inside. You can even put a drone inside too 😊
@@NemanjaSekulic souns good 😄
Purchased in Shanghai? Are you sure it's authentic? I made the mistake of purchasing a counterfeit lowepro bag from a Chinese seller on eBay. BTW: I love your channel.
Yes. This one is authentic.
Great review Nemanja
Can MacBook pro 16 inches be fit in this bag?
I think only 15 inch laptops fit in this bag.
can you bring this as a carry on in international flights?
Yes. I traveled a lot with this bag.
@@NemanjaSekulic Oh nice thanks for replying. I was concerned i would not be able to use this as carry on since it looked too big. Glad that's not the case
@@jomarico1770 It's not the case, it's the backpack.

This is the laptop that I bought! I just need something to handle video and photo editing. If You guys know anything about computer specs please let me know if I made a good purchase or should return it and get some better.
I also find it gets super slow when I have Lightroom and photoshop running at the same time.
MegaMohammed12 I would recommend a solid state hard drive (ssd). Also would say 16gb of RAM would be better.
Andrew Weddell yeah I’ll look through to see what I can find! You have any recommendations as to what I should look at?
@@MegaMohammed12 You would need to get another 8gb RAM stick which you already have. Your motherboard should have 2 slots to cater for this. Double check that you have another slot available. Then regarding the SSD, Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD is the best selling on Amazon. I would recommend installing windows onto this SSD as then your operating system is running off the SSD. Your PC boot time will be a 10th of the time as well as any programs installed on this drive.
Does it fit a 16inch laptop?
I think it only fits a 15 inch laptop.
How many liters is this backpack?
Not sure... You can check it out on their website.
