Winner of three Juno Awards in 1989 Album of the Year - Shadowland Female Vocalist of the Year Entertainer of the Year Also performs ' Big Boned Girl ' with The Reclines
I wish k.d. would do one more "Torch and Twang" type album. Her chops were made for country music. I love listening to her fabulous voice that takes you to another world. This was great! Thanks for posting.
I think musically k.d was evolving and started to write songs with Ben Mink ( one of the Reclines ) they seemed to be on the same page . When Ingenue came out it was like nothing she'd done before plus the change in image. She also continued to have Sue Leonard ( another Recline ) as backing singer. I never read about any hard feelings with the rest of the band , a lot of them are still in the music business in various forms in Canada.
awesome female what a fantastic unusual voice KD LANG has
Love her voice and songs, she is great.

You are right
forced to sing silly songs..i am sure she came out strong just to be able to be and sing her true self
I certainly wonder how much influence she had on Brandi Carlile. Similar sounds
Wouldn't they be amazing singing together?

Been missing K D Lang. So glad to see she is out and about again. Love all of her music.!
Did k d change bands from the reclines due to changing studios and were there hard feelings?
