I remember listening to this from a friend, he burned this album just for me. I listened to this secretly on my walkman so my younger brother wont know what i spent our money on(batteries). Back then. We literally went through hell, had no one but my younger brother. I had no support but my brother. We survived trough the orphanage. All our escape attempts. Its a bitter memory but the things we did for each other made it beautiful. Ill never forget every kind hearted people we met before we got into the orphanage. For those who helped us, reading this and you're familiar with the lifestyle of a south east asian orphanage/dorm/boys home, i wanna thank you for not seperating us siblings from birth. I genuinely wanted to thank you all. We finished school at a late age. At least, Now he's working abroad as a civil engineer. Im a firefighter and listening to this song again, made me love my brother more than ever. We would sacrifice the world for one another.
I love this song they did an excellent job on the new CD/LP. i like it how there is a little book that comes with the CD and LP that tells us the story and the lyrics. great song keep up the good work!
If you haven't heard of defeater until this song or any other acoustics go support the vocalist side project Alcoa, because defeater is sticking to their hardcore sound.
@XRandalGetsDrunkX After I listened to this I went on a website and stuff, I just read Travels and Empty Days & Sleepless Nights. I found it probably the best thing I've red in my whole life.
Support This Band...instead of buying t-shirts and other merch, just try to buy some cd's or vinyl from your favorite band, they'd be happy to know that you really dig 'em 'cause you buy their music instead of tallking shit all the time! xD

His voice kind of reminds me of Connor Oberst, in the best way possible.
This is so good!
So if there's any more music like defeater acoustic tracks somebody should let me know. I need more of this on my ipod.

They're still a hardcore band.
@pppedro0 I hope you're joking. Their hardcore songs are just as good as the acoustic tracks.
anyone else look back to find Lorenzo's original comment before the 'p.s.' part?
@sceneasilook Yes we are...I'm staying at my mom's house until this song starts to suck...so, goodbye
Like if this song reminds you of the movie, "Stand By Me"
What is this song about?
no. some bands just do acoustics
Why the shit is the video so long if the song is just over 5 mins??
You are wrong.
