The fact that Lisa synergize so well with Eula should bump her up to C Tier. You can build Xinyan with def% and her shield will be as strong as Diona shield with a refresh + physical resistance. Or she can be physical dps or burst damage. Great battery. And pyro for breaking shields + pyro resonance. The cleanse as well. So I would say she is at a B tier.
Every time I see the 5* animation I pray it isn't Qiqi... Hate her design, hate her gameplay, hate the fact that she can show up at any moment... Delete this character

I think he rivals Venti personally, he lacks the CC that Venti has but makes up with the support capability. Especially considering his early constellations (1 & 2) are cracked whereas Venti takes tons of constellations to make a difference.
N the only character that buff elemental dmg bonus... Super good... I personally hope mihoyo stop making dps character n just release more support that buff atk or elemental dmg or dmg reduction, etc...
Bro I hated bow characters till I got sara 😭😭. I just use her elemental skill and shoot at the ground of my enemies after sucking gouba on them with Xiangling and boom. All of my problems solved.
@@LightzyyPKMN no qiqi can work as a dps. any character can, you can make even someone with as clunky of a kit as kokomi be a dps with the right weapon and artifacts.
@@lovableairheadmile6809 C meaning constellation and the number the level. Most people put ridiculous numbers because the max is 6 but people keep getting that character. Luckily i never had a character that many times. Hell i dont even think ive got any character above constellation 3
I recently got Yanfei and I am building her and man... I love how she damages from the distance so you rarely get hit if you dash attacks. I like her DPS too. I think she can be a bit underrated. I couldn't defeat the Oceanid boss until I got her and Ningguang. Ningguang crystalizes hydro attacks so it creates a shield so I switch to Yanfei and she beats all the monsters in like 4 minutes. My fav duo for Hydro bosses like Oceanid.

Man, Noelle is so underrated, she's so easy to build, she has a lot of damage in area, she heals your team and provide them a really good shield. She needs constellations but, who doesn't have them at this point and with the upcoming banner?
Noelle being able to provide healing abs damage at the same time and getting a free shield makes her a really reliable unit in the early-mid game. Until you’ve developed an abyss team you intend to take to lvl. 90 she’s a really good f2p all rounder, what’s not to love?
Noelle is a great character when your a beginner around adventure level 24 but when you get closer to the endgame she just isn’t that needed. She’s the type that carries you early in a game does fine in mid but doesn’t help much in higher levels. And if you master Beidou early on in the game before reaching inazuma u gonna be op with that counter
Agree 100% with Kazuha being in the S tier. He is a game-changer. He was my first five star, and I got him and Bennett and they were all I had to carry my team because I had no heavy hitting DPS characters for a long time and that team did just fine because Bennett enhances everyone and Kazuha swirls with such gusto. And yessss to him being fun to play. I wish his elemental burst didn’t make it hard to see sometimes, but Kazuha is absolute gold. And if I could pick one character to win in gacha in the future and only one, it would be Zhongli!!!!
yup i agree thou I'm still thorn between Ganyu and Zonglee it would be one or the other as for Kazuha absolutely s tear i got him for my pity and i have been using him a lot all he needs is to rush him to 90 put the winds set on him and an mastery hourglass the rest is to build him as typical anemo dps and He'll carry a lot as a c0 sub dps/supp

Looking at this, honestly Anemo feels like the element where none of them is bad. Far from it, from Sucrose to Kazuha and Xiao. Everyone of them is fantastic.
Do you realize why? VIRIDESCENT VENERER. The problem with Anemo character is that you "have" to build them with VV, in my opinion, but then they are all the same: EM here, EM there... yes, it's good, but then their kit becomes meaningless (besides Xiao, who is reasonable to be built as a traditional dmg dealer) and it's just a waste...
@reo compared to the other characters in his A tier, she really is on the verge of B tier. Her ult is just not consistent enough and it's pretty much all the damage she has.
Eula deserves to be A. Xiao could be arguable S. Hu tao also is arguably S. Just wish xiao and hu tao had a special set specifically made for them like eula does. Sadge.
Ganyu, Xaio, Hu tao top tier DPS characters in the game and in liyue as well they're literally game-breaking as for Eula she is the physical Queen there is nobody who can touch her DMG rate in physical all these characters do deserve S in my opinion

I was going to save for ayaka and i was at my graunted I saw some videos for kazuha so i used my graunted for him And lost 50/50 at ayaka😂 Not feeling bad he was worth much than i expected
Remember a tier list is for how much investment is needed to make a character good. All characters are good with god gear. However, a ganyu armed with my grandma's flip flops can still split a mountain in half, while Keqing will end up healing the enemies.
I wouldn't say that's the only thing a tier list tells you. It's not like every character will reach the same power level but some need more investment than others, there are characters that even with the perfect weapons, artifacts and all the investment you want will never surpass other characters even with less investment. So tier lists not only tell you how much investment you need to make a character good enough, but also the full potential of them, not all characters are equal, and not all can reach the same levels of power.
Yeah Ganyu is fuckin broken, Im Ftp and she does always 50k with her rocketlaun... eeeeh autoattacks. And yeah, my Yanfei does the same. You can built most characters, good build and artifacts are everything.
How to buff Barbara; Have her abilities no longer apply 'Wet' to your characters, being frozen repeatedly is one of the most tilting things in the game, and getting you frozen is what she does best
Yes, this alone is more than just quality of life. If they changed that she would simply because of that rise one tier. But if she could actually get a buff besides thrilling tales she would even go further.
I agree with all of this aside from healers not being of as much value. They’re so value. They’re not necessary but as soon as you start using one you can’t go back.
I wholeheartedly agree At the start of the game my first 5* was Jean and she carried me and I could never switch her off because she kept me alive. When shields became meta, I had Noelle and that was it and there was no way I was using her, so a healer is fine. I stopped using healers in about 1.5 and then half way through 2.0 I was getting my ass handed to me over and over and Jean came back. Healers are extremely valuable because not everyone has zhongli, not everyone wants to play the other 4* shields or even has them and healers are actually really good. I can't believe qiqi was put in D tier because you can't die... That's the entire point of a healer for them not to die
@@keekydeeks3993 Jean is a god-tier character since she’s very versatile. Qiqi just sucks if we’re being honest, she heals but that’s about all she’s good for. You don’t need as much healing as you think.
well, it's because when build properly, he's an S. Kind of different with ganyu, venti, bennet, zhongli, xq. 5 of those god char doesnt need to be build properly and they are already above others, imagine if they also have good artifact and high talent. So I understand kazuha is a little bit debatable.

Completely remove the build criteria when you look into characters tier lists. This tier lists assume that all the characters have the exact same build/no build at all and compare solely characters and their abilities.
Agree with everything except Jean's placement. Shes easily A tier with the amount of utility she provides. She is one of the most underrated supports... Her ability to deal percentage health damage to Fatui agents, cicin mages etc. Her ult and her elemental skill also has VERY good scaling, so you can build her for a damage-based Viridescent and her ult can hit really hard. Also, the area of effect is very large and can be "aimed" much better than someone like Venti since it always centers around her. It also CLEANSES... which puts her on Bennet levels of utility. And honestly, against enemies with high elemental resistances, Jean with a viridescent can and will amplify damage more than a Bennet if you swirl, allowing her to fill the healer/damage amplifier role because you obviously cant have bennet on both abyss teams. Outside of the abyss, she can one shot high hp enemies by tossing them into bodies of water. Extremely underrated character.
jean (and kazuha) main here and YES absolutely yes. love to see some jean love, she's a really underrated character. she can stagger larger enemies which gives you more time to do damage without worrying about dodging. i like playing her as my main dps because of this. she and my kazuha carried my ass in game, especially because i just started playing in 1.6 so i missed out on people like venti and zhongli. the fact that she scales with atk and ascends with healing bonus means you can build her to do damage and still heal your whole team with just a Q. healing auto attacks too. she's also a tank, i love her honestly
mihoyo was actually crazy for making zhongli and buffing him. hes good for crowd control, burst damage output is insane, top tier shields and hes sexy. hes, no pun intended, absolutely godly.
Godly? Yes and no. Reaction teams almost always have better damage boosting options than Zhongli, but he gives the stability (in exchange for less team DPS) the average player might need for the harder content. Also he is a great support for non reaction DPS (like Xiao) and he is the best Geo team support in the game. His versatility and unique specialitys make him definitely an S tier unit. Edit: also his burst damage is not as crazy as many people want it to be.
@@bananagod5530 this resistent shred is still not the best option in reaction teams for damage increase. I also use him, but just in my Xiao team, because all my other reaction teams have better options for damage increase.
Kazuha is easily S tier -crazy anemo/swirl damage -give him VV and he debuffs elemental resistance -while at the same time buffing the damage bonus of that same element -his Burst is the coolest-looking one in the game -Skill can be used in midair, meaning a free hop up cliffs every 6 seconds
yep, a great character to explore. And he valued up my account even with c0 by a lot. I have pretty bad VV artifact set on him which raised him to 720 EM and he still slaps.
@@antonio9911 probably because his ult constantly generates energy whenever it swirls? I'm not entirely sure how it works yet but he does generate a ton of energy with basically no effort.
This might be a hot take but I think Kazuha is much better than Venti. I have him at C1 and he instantly became my favorite character to play. So fun, versatile, useful in and out of combat and does crazy damage/set ups.
I was so happy when I found out Diona is one of the good characters. I love cats 😂 At first when I tested her out back when I didn’t really understand the game, I thought she wasn’t that good but after reading how people were using her, I built her to be a tank 😁
@@aarongunasingh Prolly not. If anything electro will get another buff but I don't see any unit as of now getting a buff. She's honestly quite powerful considering her element and also pretty easy to build since she has a crit ascension stat

Eula is easy A. I'm trash at building characters and my Eula hits like a truck, which is mind blowing to me. I've one shot bosses with her ult and it is the most satisfying feeling in the game by far.
@Black Star I have and have maxed (not constalation just talents and levels) nearly every 5* in genshin The only ones I don't have are the new inazuma 5* Characters Zhongli qiqi And albedo I have ganyu I have xiao I have hu tao I have diluc Klee Keqing Jean Mona Etc. My eula out dps all of them And xiao is c3 as I got really lucky when I didn't even want him. When xiao can only do good damage in his ultimate for attacks and that's it And all other characters need to use skills to enhance their damage My eula hits 13-19k on normal attacks without the need for infusions or anything like that or even buffs from Mona or anything She hits 13k-19k on her own WITHOUT outside help cause of how I built her And her burst does 200k+ with guess what. No outside help. All on her own without sucrose or Bennet or any of what all element Characters need Now I WISH I could use Bennet. But he has been ruined and has become garbage for my eula/razor/jean physical users so he can only be used with my xiao and hu tao. My poor bennet is ruined and trash for my physical dps units T_T And while nearly all other dps units have so low hp and defence they can be one shot Eula has above average defence and her skill gives her 60% more defence so she can tank hits other dps can't.
@@re4ptilerea4er55 You seem relatively biased as a lot of eula mains and i don't take it away from you that she's really good but it mainly depends on the situation. She is pretty bad against all ruin types she struggles with aoe unlike Xiao as you mentioned, once again situation matter the most if you put Xiao and eula against a single boss eula will have a faster clear but if you take them again and slap like 3-4 enemies close to each other using let's say sucrose for the quick gather you'd get let's say 20k per plunge on all 4 without any outside help. Hitting 80k per plunge would definitely be stronger than how eula would perform. Same goes for ganyu vs eula cause of the lack of eulas aoe attacks. Eula is really good but she does get outdmged by ton of characters depending on the situation
I actually agree with this tier list a lot more than I expected to. Any character can be made viable, but levels of investment is really what separates some characters from others. Throw random Noblesse pieces on Bennet and he is good to go and provides a lot to your team. Throw 4 random gladiator/bolide pieces on Noelle and she feels like she is lacking. I've been able to get some great results from characters ranked D tier on this list, but I had to put much more investment than characters ranked higher to achieve usable results.
@@DahRahzor I've put a lot of investment into Noelle, and I consistently 9* abyss with her on my team, but the amount of investment required to be put into her is on the expensive side. I've got C6 whiteblind R5, 10-12-13 talents, 50CR 150CD and she hits for 25-30k per swing. However the months of investment on Noelle could have been spent on Xiangling and Xingqiu and you'd deal more damage with a Xiangling/Xingqiu comp than it would to put the same amount of investment on Noelle. Hope what I'm saying makes sense. I love the character, but on a game with limited leveling resources you need to choose what characters you level wisely (especially early game) with your limited resources.
Lisa's DEF reduction passive is one of the most powerful in the game though, and she also can equip Dragon Thrilling catalyst so I think she is worthy of C-tier.
Yeah, Lisa's cons are pretty good but her cons are pretty hard to get. Same with Kaeya. Both would be higher on tier list if you could get their cons easily. IMO mhy did them bad with locking their cons behind a paywall bigger than most 5*. Unless you are really lucky, you won't be getting a Kaeya or Lisa cons on standart banner before hitting 5* pity.
Still use Keqing as my main dps. For "fast" player like me who love dashing here and there, keqing suits my style best. And her fast cooldown skill is a big plus.
I feel like Jean was a little short changed here. She's insanely good. She does everything. Sure maybe Kazuha or Venti are better, flashier swirlers, but Jean just like them makes basically everything easier. She's just boring.
Exactly! She has good Base damage and makes the game easier, but the problem is she is just stale xD but very well thought hope she gets something new like enemy cant escape her Elem burst or make her skill more flashy and cool
She's definitely S tier support for me.. Slap her in 1 of the team comp she'll be your healer/cleanser/ semi dps/ viri shredder. Venti is "nerfed" in inazuma cuz he can't deal with kairagi and nobushi but jean is still very good.. no matter if it's year 2033 or 2050 if she can lift the enemy, she'll be able to deal massive fall damage to them so she's future proof. Not to mention she's one of the 2 anemo (incl sayu now) that fits 2 geo 2 anemo comp.
Xingqiu and Bennett will always be S tier because of their versatility and supporting skills.... tbh, I value Xingqiu than most of my five stars, to an extent of valuing him more than Hu Tao

Do you see the pattern of 5 star dps/units that deal damage per SCREENSHOT at tiers A or higher, the most popular units for abyss at s tier and OH MY GOD the amount of god tier 4 stars left at B tier I’m sorry if I piss the wrong people off. I don’t watch much mtashed, don’t know if this man is serious or not but this guy is the literal metaslave. Do you see how only bennett and xingqiu (for 4 stars) are regarded highly in his vid? How characters like beidou, rosaria and sucrose are placed at B tier when they are some of the best characters in game period? If this tier list is about damage per screenshot I can get by but goddamn this man should keep his opinions to himself if not. His ice build after they introduced the ice artifact set is insane. Literally with constellation 1, he can get over 50% crit chance without having ANY built anywhere. He is honestly undervalued.

@@Am4t3r4su I have him at C2 with full Blizzard, Chongyun and Xingqiu, he's at 100% crit rate most of the time and I can just focus on stacking crit dmg, like with the Blackcliff sword I have on him 👌
he’s got a quite strange kit- although he mostly seems like a support his physical build screams main or sub dps. and i think i can safely say that people are starting to value kaeya cons much more. i also love the fact that he recommended building him to people that do lack cryo supports or have kaeya cons.
Lisa should be in C tier at least Reasoning : She can use "thrilling tales of dragon slayer" And her Ascension Passive (Lv 60 Ascend) which reduces enemy def
@@barackobama5289 but you can't because there is no other character that can do what she is used for Reducing defense ( wich is better than reducing resistance ) There are only 3 ways to reduce defense right now, with Razor C4, Klee C2 and Lisa's second passive wich makes her the most F2P option

decided to come back to genshin after not playing for 6 months and all i can say is wow, i loved qiqi and after watching this I'm intrigued to what else has changed
He's not wrong. There will always be a stronger DPS coming around in the future, but if you look a the top supports, a lot of them have been in the game basically since the beginning, if not the earlier patches.

I’ve had Yanfei since day 1 of playing and she’s never left my team. If you build her up give her some crit artifacts she is soooooo good (especially now I have raiden getting overloaded constantly is so good)
This is probably one of the only tier lists I have seen that seems right in most places, before anyone cries and starts saying they can solo everything with noelle this tierlist (in my eyes) reflects what the characters can do at a base value and how much investment is requiered to see good results stuff like noelle, lisa, beidou, ninguang and more characters only start shining after a certain constellation where as characters like venti, ganyu, kazuha,bennet etc. dont require much investment or offer more than just more dmg. Just remember that any character is viable as long as you invest and give them a proper team.
I agree with all the s tier placements except kazuha, he even said that only with constellations he is crazy strong at c0 he is still great just not at that level
i would love to have qiqi just cause her story is so sad :’) her voice line where she says: ‘can we stay together, for the rest of life, until death’ is so heartbreaking, especially cause she was saying how others are scared of her- i’m a really emotional person so this hit hard at 1am :(

@@e554 Here is how I see it. You should compare C6 four star characters with C0 5 star characters. They should be equivalent in value and strength. Noelle is amazing for Xiao because she can switch in, heal and do lots of damage while Xiao is on his downtime. I also use Sucrose with Thrilling Tales for battery Xiao. Finally Zhongli for geo resonance and shield defense shred.
I can confirm Amber can be baseline acceptable with a Amos bow, 2k attack solid crit rate and Pyro dmg. At that point though you're still just subbing her for her great arrow rain talent percentage and that's kinda it.
I know noone cares about Albedo but he's honestly deserves to be in an A tier simply because of how little investment he needs to be good. Just put def artifacts on him and a 3 star sword and he'll bring so much additional damage to the team.
The main problem is that Genshin NEEDS to fix Geo Constructs. Everytime u use Albedo's skill (his main source of dmg) it either: 1. Spawns underneath an enemy and it immediately disappears. 2. Enemies hit it and break it with one shot. 3. The shield crystals spawn under enemies (cough cough Azhdaha) making it impossible for u to shield 4. Enemies leave ur flower Aoe making it useless. 5. You accidentally step on his flower and it throws off ur attacks...
After swapping out of Instructor Sucrose, Yanfei + Xinqui and Electro Traveler Burst is nuts. Her normal attacks are now 3 elements and randomly have different reactions.
im a yanfei main and finally got her c6 but I think I agree with where he put her, if you don't have at least c1 on her stamina is gonna be an issue. Fully built and with constellations she out preforms my similarly invested c0 diluc.
11:45 As it hurts me to say this but keqing has one of the best move sets but gets throw out the window by her electro vision… if she had pyro or cryo she would shoot up because of 2x dmg and stuff
Her electro DMG is stronger tho, but the fact that she's insanely versatile (Phys DPS, Electro DPS, Burst Swap) moves her into at least the B tier. She's an A tier for me. She's definitely more consistent than Razor in Phys DMG I think
Honestly even though I personally don't use my qiqi all that much she has genuine usability, I'd obviously disagree with some of the placements like yoimiya and my main dps beidou but honestly I have to say: I don't have too many complaints with the S tier, I love zhongli and kazuha sm and they absolutely earned their spot there
The thing about keqing is that she’s solid, she does her thing and carries. Same thing with qiqi: not the best but getting her ar25 fixes so many problems since you don’t die. Getting her later sucks, but she’s not that bad
The thing with Kazuha is that he doesn't have any 'broken' ability like Venti's black hole, Zhongli's 100% uptime shield but he as a whole just brings too much for the team. In theory, he looks like just another anemo support which is great but it is only when you start using him on the field that you realize he is an INSANE character. You have to play him to realize his worth
The characters that really need a buff are keqing and qiqi, keqing can be amazing and do a lot of damage but she needs so much investment that you would be better building another dps and qiqi because she just heals, i tried using her but she never did anything because i had shields i don use her healing, what makes her bad is that she doesn’t generate particles and she is bad at aplying cryo and doesn’t provide anything else
Qiqi i can agree. Keqing? No. The argument of she needs so much investment applies to ALL dps if you want them to deal damage. The word I think you should use is ‘the least f2p friendly’ unit. I main keqing for 5 months now and have been thru all sorts of investment. TLDR of my experience is: keqing solo is below average. With kazuha, she goes up one tier. With mistsplitter, she goes up another tier.
@@phuongphamquanghuy1649 Keqing has a fine cap that she will clearly lose to the newer dps. Eula C6 will always be better than C6 Keqing. Ganyu c6 will always be better than Keqing. The same can be said with Xiao, Hu Tao, Ayaka and Diluc.

Give your Qiqi a Tenacity of the Millelith Artifact Set. 4-Piece: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. Qiqi's ghostly freeze ball can be proccing this while she isn't on the field. If its during a freeze or super-conduct team doing work then shes doing some serious heavy lifting, and it suits your 'shield meta.' I don't even got any shields, run this au-natural and its pretty damn strong.Though I do admit, I run her with a sac sword so she effectively doesn't have any real downtime -- but it's the same as Xingqiu.
Lisa with a shield character is amazing in my opinion. When you stack all of the enemies to 3 you can oneshot everyone. Yes you need to make preparations for the oneshot, but its really worth it. Even without constelations.
I think Albedo needs to be in A tier. He buffs EM and is one of the best sub-dps characters hitting up to 10-15k per 2 secs. Plus, he's a great candidate if you want to add (the powerful) geo resonance to your team. Pairing him with zhongli in your team with a carry and a support/healer is also always a great choice.
Same. Albedo was my first 5 star so ofc I built him. He can definitely be a game changer. The general skipping of that banner probably is the cause, because not many people made Albedo content so his potential wasn't revealed that much.
Ever since I got Zhongli on his rerun, I’ve started building Albedo properly and oh boiii Zhongli and Albedo have been carrying me through all content, I cabt even consider putting Albedo off my team since he does so much damage and helps me charge up Zhongli ult. People need to show more love to Albedo ;u;
I really invested in albedo but I think he's really mediocre imo. Split scaling kills his kit. It's ridiculous how you have to choose either bust damage or elemental skill damage. How are you hitting for 15k per tick?

I mean with Z his Q is gonna be up everytime the timer comes around and with Z's debuff up you are gonna truck everybody. Diona is actually so cracked. You just slap a bunch of HP and if you need a shit ton of healing, apply healing bonus circlet on her. But for the most part, she has a really good shield and heals well, and generates a lot of particles when ran with Favonius.
Well, I may be still quite new to the game (just finished the main story of Liyue and am AR 32), but I like Barbara. 1.) She can heal my Party so I don't need to stuff all my food into them the entire time 2.) I play Chongyun (C1) as my main DPS and Barbaras "E"-Attack makes all enemys around her wet so my cute Chong-boy can freeze them. And if I tandem both I can kinda stunlock my enemys with that :3 If you want to know, that's my Team atm: Traveler (Lv 59, Secondary DPS) , Chongyun (Lv. 59, C1, Main DPS), Xinqiu (Lv 40, Support) and Barbara (Lv. 50, Healer) But I want to replace Barbara with Benny if I ever get to draw him... 'cause Xinqui can also make opponents wet. And before I got Xinqiu from the latest banner I played Ember... didn't liked her much, her dmg is awefull and her "E" totaly useless but the game often requires fire (remove vines, light torches, etc.) and Bow (Balloon-Flowers, Anemo-Slimes, etc. ...) And she has both. I even used her in a kinda run-and-snipe tactic against rune guards.

The fact that Lisa synergize so well with Eula should bump her up to C Tier. You can build Xinyan with def% and her shield will be as strong as Diona shield with a refresh + physical resistance. Or she can be physical dps or burst damage. Great battery. And pyro for breaking shields + pyro resonance. The cleanse as well. So I would say she is at a B tier.

I think he rivals Venti personally, he lacks the CC that Venti has but makes up with the support capability. Especially considering his early constellations (1 & 2) are cracked whereas Venti takes tons of constellations to make a difference.

I recently got Yanfei and I am building her and man... I love how she damages from the distance so you rarely get hit if you dash attacks. I like her DPS too. I think she can be a bit underrated. I couldn't defeat the Oceanid boss until I got her and Ningguang. Ningguang crystalizes hydro attacks so it creates a shield so I switch to Yanfei and she beats all the monsters in like 4 minutes. My fav duo for Hydro bosses like Oceanid.
She's been my main dps since I got her I'd trade my riden for her any day

Noelle is a great character when your a beginner around adventure level 24 but when you get closer to the endgame she just isn’t that needed. She’s the type that carries you early in a game does fine in mid but doesn’t help much in higher levels. And if you master Beidou early on in the game before reaching inazuma u gonna be op with that counter
Agree 100% with Kazuha being in the S tier. He is a game-changer. He was my first five star, and I got him and Bennett and they were all I had to carry my team because I had no heavy hitting DPS characters for a long time and that team did just fine because Bennett enhances everyone and Kazuha swirls with such gusto. And yessss to him being fun to play. I wish his elemental burst didn’t make it hard to see sometimes, but Kazuha is absolute gold. And if I could pick one character to win in gacha in the future and only one, it would be Zhongli!!!!

Remember a tier list is for how much investment is needed to make a character good. All characters are good with god gear. However, a ganyu armed with my grandma's flip flops can still split a mountain in half, while Keqing will end up healing the enemies.

I wouldn't say that's the only thing a tier list tells you. It's not like every character will reach the same power level but some need more investment than others, there are characters that even with the perfect weapons, artifacts and all the investment you want will never surpass other characters even with less investment.
So tier lists not only tell you how much investment you need to make a character good enough, but also the full potential of them, not all characters are equal, and not all can reach the same levels of power.

Have her abilities no longer apply 'Wet' to your characters, being frozen repeatedly is one of the most tilting things in the game, and getting you frozen is what she does best
Yes, this alone is more than just quality of life. If they changed that she would simply because of that rise one tier. But if she could actually get a buff besides thrilling tales she would even go further.

At the start of the game my first 5* was Jean and she carried me and I could never switch her off because she kept me alive.
When shields became meta, I had Noelle and that was it and there was no way I was using her, so a healer is fine.
I stopped using healers in about 1.5 and then half way through 2.0 I was getting my ass handed to me over and over and Jean came back.
Healers are extremely valuable because not everyone has zhongli, not everyone wants to play the other 4* shields or even has them and healers are actually really good.
I can't believe qiqi was put in D tier because you can't die... That's the entire point of a healer for them not to die

Completely remove the build criteria when you look into characters tier lists. This tier lists assume that all the characters have the exact same build/no build at all and compare solely characters and their abilities.
Agree with everything except Jean's placement. Shes easily A tier with the amount of utility she provides. She is one of the most underrated supports... Her ability to deal percentage health damage to Fatui agents, cicin mages etc. Her ult and her elemental skill also has VERY good scaling, so you can build her for a damage-based Viridescent and her ult can hit really hard. Also, the area of effect is very large and can be "aimed" much better than someone like Venti since it always centers around her. It also CLEANSES... which puts her on Bennet levels of utility. And honestly, against enemies with high elemental resistances, Jean with a viridescent can and will amplify damage more than a Bennet if you swirl, allowing her to fill the healer/damage amplifier role because you obviously cant have bennet on both abyss teams.
Outside of the abyss, she can one shot high hp enemies by tossing them into bodies of water.

jean (and kazuha) main here and YES absolutely yes. love to see some jean love, she's a really underrated character.
she can stagger larger enemies which gives you more time to do damage without worrying about dodging. i like playing her as my main dps because of this. she and my kazuha carried my ass in game, especially because i just started playing in 1.6 so i missed out on people like venti and zhongli. the fact that she scales with atk and ascends with healing bonus means you can build her to do damage and still heal your whole team with just a Q. healing auto attacks too. she's also a tank, i love her honestly
She can also do insane amount of fall damage to the fatuis, ive seen 62k once her skill is nuts, i honestly want a jean
I even built my jean healer dps with Aquila and 25% anemo, 25% physical damage artifacts. Jean can dish damage while healing my team.

Godly? Yes and no. Reaction teams almost always have better damage boosting options than Zhongli, but he gives the stability (in exchange for less team DPS) the average player might need for the harder content. Also he is a great support for non reaction DPS (like Xiao) and he is the best Geo team support in the game.
His versatility and unique specialitys make him definitely an S tier unit.
Edit: also his burst damage is not as crazy as many people want it to be.

-give him VV and he debuffs elemental resistance
-while at the same time buffing the damage bonus of that same element
-his Burst is the coolest-looking one in the game
-Skill can be used in midair, meaning a free hop up cliffs every 6 seconds
yep, a great character to explore. And he valued up my account even with c0 by a lot. I have pretty bad VV artifact set on him which raised him to 720 EM and he still slaps.
Also, for some reason that and can’t explain, he is a HUGE battery for the team without ER artifacts
He's probably the only character I regret not getting because of Ayaka. Least I got Venti who's extremely similar to him.

This might be a hot take but I think Kazuha is much better than Venti. I have him at C1 and he instantly became my favorite character to play. So fun, versatile, useful in and out of combat and does crazy damage/set ups.
I was so happy when I found out Diona is one of the good characters. I love cats 😂 At first when I tested her out back when I didn’t really understand the game, I thought she wasn’t that good but after reading how people were using her, I built her to be a tank 😁

And her burst does 200k+ with guess what. No outside help. All on her own without sucrose or Bennet or any of what all element Characters need
Now I WISH I could use Bennet. But he has been ruined and has become garbage for my eula/razor/jean physical users so he can only be used with my xiao and hu tao. My poor bennet is ruined and trash for my physical dps units T_T
And while nearly all other dps units have so low hp and defence they can be one shot
Eula has above average defence and her skill gives her 60% more defence so she can tank hits other dps can't.

She is pretty bad against all ruin types she struggles with aoe unlike Xiao as you mentioned, once again situation matter the most if you put Xiao and eula against a single boss eula will have a faster clear but if you take them again and slap like 3-4 enemies close to each other using let's say sucrose for the quick gather you'd get let's say 20k per plunge on all 4 without any outside help. Hitting 80k per plunge would definitely be stronger than how eula would perform. Same goes for ganyu vs eula cause of the lack of eulas aoe attacks.

I actually agree with this tier list a lot more than I expected to. Any character can be made viable, but levels of investment is really what separates some characters from others. Throw random Noblesse pieces on Bennet and he is good to go and provides a lot to your team. Throw 4 random gladiator/bolide pieces on Noelle and she feels like she is lacking. I've been able to get some great results from characters ranked D tier on this list, but I had to put much more investment than characters ranked higher to achieve usable results.

@@DahRahzor I've put a lot of investment into Noelle, and I consistently 9* abyss with her on my team, but the amount of investment required to be put into her is on the expensive side. I've got C6 whiteblind R5, 10-12-13 talents, 50CR 150CD and she hits for 25-30k per swing. However the months of investment on Noelle could have been spent on Xiangling and Xingqiu and you'd deal more damage with a Xiangling/Xingqiu comp than it would to put the same amount of investment on Noelle. Hope what I'm saying makes sense. I love the character, but on a game with limited leveling resources you need to choose what characters you level wisely (especially early game) with your limited resources.
Lisa's DEF reduction passive is one of the most powerful in the game though, and she also can equip Dragon Thrilling catalyst so I think she is worthy of C-tier.
Lisa is an insanely valuable *support* for my eula because she can shred both def and phys res, though im not sure how good lisa is by herself.

Yeah, Lisa's cons are pretty good but her cons are pretty hard to get. Same with Kaeya. Both would be higher on tier list if you could get their cons easily. IMO mhy did them bad with locking their cons behind a paywall bigger than most 5*. Unless you are really lucky, you won't be getting a Kaeya or Lisa cons on standart banner before hitting 5* pity.

I feel like Jean was a little short changed here. She's insanely good. She does everything. Sure maybe Kazuha or Venti are better, flashier swirlers, but Jean just like them makes basically everything easier. She's just boring.

She's definitely S tier support for me.. Slap her in 1 of the team comp she'll be your healer/cleanser/ semi dps/ viri shredder. Venti is "nerfed" in inazuma cuz he can't deal with kairagi and nobushi but jean is still very good.. no matter if it's year 2033 or 2050 if she can lift the enemy, she'll be able to deal massive fall damage to them so she's future proof. Not to mention she's one of the 2 anemo (incl sayu now) that fits 2 geo 2 anemo comp.
Totally, she's a versatile character. She can deal damage, heal (scales with atk), and crowd control with her e and charged attack.

I use Kaeya as a sub-dps with energy recharge and ice damage for my freeze Childe comp and he is awesome as a sub-dps as well
he’s got a quite strange kit- although he mostly seems like a support his physical build screams main or sub dps. and i think i can safely say that people are starting to value kaeya cons much more. i also love the fact that he recommended building him to people that do lack cryo supports or have kaeya cons.

I’ve had Yanfei since day 1 of playing and she’s never left my team. If you build her up give her some crit artifacts she is soooooo good (especially now I have raiden getting overloaded constantly is so good)
This is probably one of the only tier lists I have seen that seems right in most places, before anyone cries and starts saying they can solo everything with noelle this tierlist (in my eyes) reflects what the characters can do at a base value and how much investment is requiered to see good results stuff like noelle, lisa, beidou, ninguang and more characters only start shining after a certain constellation where as characters like venti, ganyu, kazuha,bennet etc. dont require much investment or offer more than just more dmg. Just remember that any character is viable as long as you invest and give them a proper team.
That's probably only because the tier list was created by a meta slave ^^

True. I mainly use Noelle throughout the game and it's very satisfying to use her ultimate just sweep your enemies in one go.

@@e554 Here is how I see it. You should compare C6 four star characters with C0 5 star characters. They should be equivalent in value and strength. Noelle is amazing for Xiao because she can switch in, heal and do lots of damage while Xiao is on his downtime. I also use Sucrose with Thrilling Tales for battery Xiao. Finally Zhongli for geo resonance and shield defense shred.
I can confirm Amber can be baseline acceptable with a Amos bow, 2k attack solid crit rate and Pyro dmg. At that point though you're still just subbing her for her great arrow rain talent percentage and that's kinda it.
As someone with a c6 Noelle she’s def underwhelming without constellations, but with a maxed whiteblind and c6 she is cracked.

The main problem is that Genshin NEEDS to fix Geo Constructs. Everytime u use Albedo's skill (his main source of dmg) it either:
1. Spawns underneath an enemy and it immediately disappears.
2. Enemies hit it and break it with one shot.
3. The shield crystals spawn under enemies (cough cough Azhdaha) making it impossible for u to shield
4. Enemies leave ur flower Aoe making it useless.
5. You accidentally step on his flower and it throws off ur attacks...
This guy ranked razor higher than keqing and chongyun and everyone at B tier is stronger and more versatile than diluc (except razor)

im a yanfei main and finally got her c6 but I think I agree with where he put her, if you don't have at least c1 on her stamina is gonna be an issue. Fully built and with constellations she out preforms my similarly invested c0 diluc.

Sucrose needs to be a, vv set, she basically a mini venti, but one who also provides elemental mastery for characters like ayaka, xiangling, ect ect
The thing about keqing is that she’s solid, she does her thing and carries. Same thing with qiqi: not the best but getting her ar25 fixes so many problems since you don’t die. Getting her later sucks, but she’s not that bad
The thing with Kazuha is that he doesn't have any 'broken' ability like Venti's black hole, Zhongli's 100% uptime shield but he as a whole just brings too much for the team. In theory, he looks like just another anemo support which is great but it is only when you start using him on the field that you realize he is an INSANE character. You have to play him to realize his worth
I have Venti but not Kazuha, but in the current abyss, I would take kazuha over venti ANY day of the week.
Actually Kazuha's E will stagger large enemies while Venti's Q does nothing against them.

The characters that really need a buff are keqing and qiqi, keqing can be amazing and do a lot of damage but she needs so much investment that you would be better building another dps and qiqi because she just heals, i tried using her but she never did anything because i had shields i don use her healing, what makes her bad is that she doesn’t generate particles and she is bad at aplying cryo and doesn’t provide anything else
Qiqi i can agree. Keqing? No. The argument of she needs so much investment applies to ALL dps if you want them to deal damage. The word I think you should use is ‘the least f2p friendly’ unit. I main keqing for 5 months now and have been thru all sorts of investment. TLDR of my experience is: keqing solo is below average. With kazuha, she goes up one tier. With mistsplitter, she goes up another tier.

Qiqi's ghostly freeze ball can be proccing this while she isn't on the field. If its during a freeze or super-conduct team doing work then shes doing some serious heavy lifting, and it suits your 'shield meta.'
I don't even got any shields, run this au-natural and its pretty damn strong.Though I do admit, I run her with a sac sword so she effectively doesn't have any real downtime -- but it's the same as Xingqiu.

Lisa with a shield character is amazing in my opinion. When you stack all of the enemies to 3 you can oneshot everyone. Yes you need to make preparations for the oneshot, but its really worth it. Even without constelations.

I think Albedo needs to be in A tier. He buffs EM and is one of the best sub-dps characters hitting up to 10-15k per 2 secs. Plus, he's a great candidate if you want to add (the powerful) geo resonance to your team. Pairing him with zhongli in your team with a carry and a support/healer is also always a great choice.
Same. Albedo was my first 5 star so ofc I built him. He can definitely be a game changer. The general skipping of that banner probably is the cause, because not many people made Albedo content so his potential wasn't revealed that much.
Ever since I got Zhongli on his rerun, I’ve started building Albedo properly and oh boiii Zhongli and Albedo have been carrying me through all content, I cabt even consider putting Albedo off my team since he does so much damage and helps me charge up Zhongli ult. People need to show more love to Albedo ;u;
I really invested in albedo but I think he's really mediocre imo. Split scaling kills his kit. It's ridiculous how you have to choose either bust damage or elemental skill damage. How are you hitting for 15k per tick?

@@dan9736 Mine isn't there yet but if you have him C1 built for burst and have him quickswapping with Zhongli then I could see those numbers. I mean with Z his Q is gonna be up everytime the timer comes around and with Z's debuff up you are gonna truck everybody. Like I said I haven't seen it on mine but I'm also running a Xiao/Albedo/Zhongli team so Albedo isn't on the field enough to pull numbers.

Yeah well... I don't have Zhongli, so my only choice is to use healers cause Diona is decent, but just doesn't fill that gap
Diona is actually so cracked. You just slap a bunch of HP and if you need a shit ton of healing, apply healing bonus circlet on her. But for the most part, she has a really good shield and heals well, and generates a lot of particles when ran with Favonius.

Well, I may be still quite new to the game (just finished the main story of Liyue and am AR 32), but I like Barbara.
1.) She can heal my Party so I don't need to stuff all my food into them the entire time
2.) I play Chongyun (C1) as my main DPS and Barbaras "E"-Attack makes all enemys around her wet so my cute Chong-boy can freeze them. And if I tandem both I can kinda stunlock my enemys with that :3
If you want to know, that's my Team atm:
Traveler (Lv 59, Secondary DPS) , Chongyun (Lv. 59, C1, Main DPS), Xinqiu (Lv 40, Support) and Barbara (Lv. 50, Healer)
But I want to replace Barbara with Benny if I ever get to draw him... 'cause Xinqui can also make opponents wet.
And before I got Xinqiu from the latest banner I played Ember... didn't liked her much, her dmg is awefull and her "E" totaly useless but the game often requires fire (remove vines, light torches, etc.) and Bow (Balloon-Flowers, Anemo-Slimes, etc. ...) And she has both. I even used her in a kinda run-and-snipe tactic against rune guards.
