To your question of why Childe national is called "International", it's because every member of this team comes from different nation, Childe - Snezanaya, Kazuha- Inazuma, Xangling - Liyue and Bennett - Mondstadt.

The funny this about national is how Bennet is the only member that comes from Mondstat and the rest are from Liyue.

    • @DavidLightstalker
      @DavidLightstalker 2 роки тому +340

This is actually just a nice coincidence. The name originates from China, as the first character from Kazuha (万叶) and Tartaglia (达达利亚) form 万达, which is coincidentally a pretty big conglomerate in China (think shopping malls, cinemas). The last two characters of the Chinese name simply mean 'international', so its literal meaning would be Wanda International. It's a mildly interesting pun that sadly can't be translated into English.

It's still possible international is right however. Sometimes English takes a word from another language and conjugates it in English sometimes even changing the tense and complete meaning of the original word. I could see somebody thinking the iyue story is true and making the international team as a reference to a false conception of what national meant. Americans are like, experts at this

A large part of why freeze is such a strong reaction is that Ayaka and Ganyu synergise really well with it. Ayaka's burst does insane amounts of damage, but requires opponents to stay in place to continuously hit them, and the best way to achieve this in most situations is the freeze reaction. As for Ganyu, her burst does way more damage when enemies are tightly grouped up together, and freeze helps with this by making it easier for your anemo units to group enemies.
Another reason is the Blizzard Strayer artifact set, which gives its holder 40% more crit rate against frozen enemies (or 20% if they're not frozen but are applied with cryo). In combination with cryo resonance giving you 15% crit rate against enemies applied with cryo, you have 55% extra crit rate, which is a huge damage increase, especially since it allows you to focus your build on doing really large crit damage.
Don't get me wrong, not needing to worry about enemy attacks is also really nice and comfortable, but the above reasons are why it's so strong in Spiral Abyss.
That said, this was still a great video that did a really good job explaining the teams, and had very strong choices for the top 5.

    • @thebooknerd5223
      @thebooknerd5223 2 роки тому +14

I agree w/ u but not having to worry about enemy attacks can also have an effect on your damage because it decreases the need for defensive units which allows you to run more offensive units instead! Like replacing Diona for Kaeya or Rosaria, or even Layla if you still need a little bit of defense utility. Man, I love freeze teams.

The main idea of taser is to use any character's Normal attacks to proc beidou, fischl, xingqiu and yelan damage (you can pick 3 of them but remember beidou needs battery). You can swap sucrose for zhongli, qiqi, kokomi, heizou, keqing, probably scaramouche too, and actually any character can do the job but of course there are better options than others.
you can't swap any of sukokomon team. Sucrose and XL are unswapable because sucrose is the only anemo that can guoba swirl, kokomi is perfect here since you need hydro application every 2 seconds due to guoba, and fischl because shes the better electro applicator OFF FIELD

A little bit of trivia: You're correct! The first popular variation of "soup" was Sucrose, Fischl, Xiangling, and Kokomi, and at the time was called "Sukokomon". Its most likely a portmanteau of Sucrose, Kokomi, and Pokemon (Pokemon because Sucrose is your on-field "trainer" whose Pokemon are the creatures your party summons lmao)
I believe it originated from CN players and 1010 then popularized it (at least thats who I heard it from first). As far as soup teams go, IIRC, Sukokomon has a very specific rotation that is centered around Guoba's fire-breathing intervals (because for some reason Guoba has a Pyro aura whenever he shoots fire). Just to expand on that lmao

  • @-Theo-
    @-Theo- 2 роки тому +91

It’s called International because it was the first ever team comp with each member being from a different nation (plus it being a national variant)
International is also the strongest national variant, but the trade off is its harder to pull off and requires you to think about your rotation whereas Rational has a lower damage ceiling but is easier to play especially bc of the er from Raiden. For the people who enjoy needing to think to pull off rotations to get the highest damage possible, I would definitely recommend International over Rational, whereas for people who enjoy unga bunga and don’t like to think about rotations I would recommend Rational over International. Of course above all else I recommend going with the character you like more, as the difference between the comps isn’t enough to warrant not picking who you like. Personally, I’ve been enjoying using International on one half and Nahida hyperbloom with em Raiden on the other half. (Of course this goes without saying but I’m no expert so don’t take this comment too seriously, I’m just sharing what I think/heard)
As for soup, I’m pretty sure the reason it’s called that is because the hydro unit provides the water, Fischl provides the chicken (Oz), the pyro unit provides the flame to heat it up and the anemo unit mixes it all together. Iirc the first comp to be named soup was Ayato soup (Ayato, Kazuha, Fischl and Bennett)
Fireworks is called that because back in 1.X when it was made taser was used exclusively to refer to the sucrose variant, and Childe procing Beidou’s burst on crowds of enemies kind of looked/felt like fireworks

Personally I love the Ayato variant of the hyperbloom team. I run Ayato, Kuki, Nahida, and Venti so its a little bit of an expensive team. Imo its one of the best overworld teams bc your dmg isnt locked behind expensive bursts or high investment characters. Nahida can be lvl 1 and still function in this team bc all you need her to do is swap in, press e, and swap out. Of course, your dmg ceiling will be higher with more investment, but the only “mandatory” lvl 90 is Kuki, for EM. Otherwise, everyone else is there solely for elemental application or crowd control.
So for anyone who’s on the fence about pulling for Ayato… this is your intervention from someone who pulled him on a whim, then realized his playstyle is actually really fun and hes genuinely useful in the overworld for commissions and quests and stuff.

The idea is to constantly proc Superconduct and Aggravate to maximize both physical and electro Dmg; since Dendro and cryo don’t interact, you’re 96% certain each proc will be a double

Freeze is a strong team but saying it has no specific rotation needed is a bit misleading. Meta freeze teams rely on swirls for VV and snapshotting certain buffs (like ttds) on ayaka/ganyu bursts to HEAVILY improve damage. Additionally, accounting for keeping as high uptime on hydro application as possible to keep enemies frozen is also important in a rotation
Assuming an optimal rotation where all buffs are snapshot by your on-field dps a bunch of freeze’s “issues” against bosses are also alleviated

My favorite teams currently include what I like to call "tower defense" with Tighnari, Fischl, Kokomi and Yae; a lot of the damage comes from the latter 3's "turrets" combined with dendro reactions. It's just a fun team comp for me cuz I don't mind switching between Tighnari and whichever character's turrets run out first lol. I also recently C1d my Yae so I'm excited to see how much more efficiently I can gain her burst in this team.
I'm also still on board the OG national train, with Chongyun and Bennett being my strongest 4*s. If I do switch out any of the 4* characters it's usually for Xiao since he's my hypercarry 5* (and I don't have Raiden Shogun) Only downside with using Xiao is crowd-control since he has none so he's better for single-target encounters rather than abyss floor where there's a lot of enemies on opposite sides of the field.
Ironically I'm also building a "freeze" team but I don't have Ayaka or Ganyu.. so my "chainfreeze" team is Chongyun and Xingqiu (my permafreeze duo) with Layla and either Kokomi or Nilou (I know it's an unconventional team for Nilou but it's Fun). If I can properly build Layla it might become my most used team; at least in the overworld. Ideally having all of them rotate properly my enemies will be frozen in place til they die, and all characters in the party will hopefully be able to utilize Chongyun's Cryo Infusion to this end 🥰 It's a work-in-progress team right now since I only recently got Layla and her and Nilou share ascension materials so the grind is real. (Yes I am using every excuse to push the Chongyun narrative).

@@RadialSeeker113 Generally hyperbloom does have some issues with backloaded damage (it takes a second or two for the hyperblooms to start kicking in) and KQM standards do force 4 star weapons on all characters as well as C0 5 stars. So whilst hyperbloom sheets incredibly well comparatively on GCSim, there can be places where funerational can outperform it (if you have C1 + Homa on HT and Elegy/Aqua or some cons on Yelan and if you one rotation content, for example).
However it is a misconception that KQM standards are "low investment"- they do have over 200 CV on each character and are optimized for absolute best performance using the constraints so even if you have around 20 offensive subs like KQM assumes you may not reach that level of performance.

The sad truth is that Hu tao got power crept by Nahida in this patch since it is now better to use xq and yelan with Nahida than with hu tao in almost every situation, and the teams are wayyyy easier and faster to build since you only need full EM kuki/raiden/fischl for them to work decently.
Luckily this game is very casual-friendly, so no one needs to use the top tier meta character to clear all the content :)

    • @aerohydra3849
      @aerohydra3849 2 роки тому

@@emiliarojas375 My point was that you gain more DPS from getting C1/Homa on a Hu Tao team compared to getting C2 Nahida or getting Yelan cons on a Hyperbloom team. C1 and Homa both are 20% DPS increases on Hu Tao (which do stack multiplicatively) whereas Yelan only does a fraction of hyperbloom's damage (meaning C2 or Aqua isn't so meaningful) and Nahida C2, while good, is not as strong as C1 or Homa in terms of team damage increase.
The biggest problem with hyperbloom and benefit to funerational (and other Hu Tao teams) can't be reflected in spreadsheets: damage is largely frontloaded in a hu tao team whilst nahida hyperbloom teams do consistent damage throughout the rotation, and also have a bit of windup time since having hyperblooms explode has a bit of delay. That's why hu tao is a more prevalent speedrunning character and why one-rotations are faster with Hu Tao generally speaking. If you look at dolphin Hu Tao teams (C1/Homa, Elegy C2 Yelan, C2 Klee for VV Vape, Freedom Sworn C2 Kazuha is an example) they are capable of nuking down high single target HP enemies in less than 10 seconds. You simply "outspend" a hyperbloom team because you simply run out of ways to strengthen your hyperbloom team (no good 5 star weapons, no good cons other than Nahida C2 realistically speaking).
Note I'm actually a pretty avid hyperbloom enjoyer and I think for 90% of the playerbase hyperbloom is actually a better choice to invest into. But I just wanted to make clear that I think Hu Tao still has a place in the meta if you're willing to invest into her teams enough since she does scale better with investment (and this is something she was always very good at).

Nahida+Xingqiu+Raiden is one of the strongest combo (if not the strongest already) in the game right now in my opinion, everything melts in seconds, no ER problems, break shields easily, have multi and single target dps and the fourth slot can be anything you need: healing, shields, cc, subdps, buffers/debuffers or any element needed to break some element shields (I suprisily broke the hydro shields from the hydro heralds at abyss like nothing with bloom, even faster than using cryo units I may say, I still need to test it vs electro ones but adding a pyro character in he fourth slot should make it easy), I like to use Kuki (even when she is c0) with the dendro set with 987 EM as the fourth slot, that way she reduces dendro res and Nahida can use Gilded dreams instead for more EM and also atk% (and because I got a good Gilded EM/Dendro/Crit set for Nahida that put her over 1.1k EM, 1.4k atk and 78% cr 150% CD, after her own buff of course) meanwhile my dendro sets sucks on crit rolls).
Also both Xingqiu and Raiden can be builded with EM or a normal dps build, doesn't really matter, both builds does a lot of dmg, so if you already got one of those builds for them no need to farm the other that much (I keep my Raiden and Xingqiu with they EoSF set in case I use them at Raidenational or Raiden at hyperRaiden).
Is my top 1 team right now even when I already have national/Raidenational, reverse melt Ganyu, HyperRaiden, permafreeze, teasers, etc. Defenitly going to try to get c2 Nahida one day (even when she doesn't really need it) if I end skipping some of the new characters.

If Nilou bloom team isn't here, I'll be shitting. Nilou team is by far has the largest aoe dmg per interval. Moreover, even though she's meant to cater aoe situations, her bloom buff capabilities can melt bosses.
Edit: Vars didn't put this team, dies* Kind bummed why he didn't include this... A low investment team. A team where you can use 3 free character but still deal shit ton of dmg.

@@E2Gtubenot a joke at all since her team is also very low investment as well. All you need is to get Nilou HP and that’s it. Seriously, that’s actually it.
The creator of the Childe International actually went into the abyss and cleared with dendro traveler, Collei, Nilou, & Barbara on a fresh account. Nilou had lv1 dull blade, all hp artifacts while the rest of the team had lv1 weapons, unleveled artifacts(except for ER sands on dendro traveler and Collei), & low talent levels.
The abyss buff at the time was basically only deepwood memories 4 pc effect for that team which didn’t have the actual artifact set on it.
So while Nilou bloom isn’t putting out the highest dps, I’d consider it a strong team when you look at how much power you get for so little investment. It takes less investment than most teams out there since each member on the team wants decent artifacts to even function.
Quick swap teams? Need to balance atk, EM, ER, & crit
Hypercarry teams? You’re gonna need your supports to have enough ER but you also want them to do damage since the hypercarry can’t do everything while the hypercarry also needs really optimized artifacts. Like Hu Tao wants HP, EM, & crit to be balanced to really hit her dps ceiling. Especially the EM part which I’m sure most Hu Tao players are aware of, but she wants at least 100 EM before investing extra into HP to maximize her vapes

The swirl and cryo infusion helps to re-freeze everyone instant after chongyun breaks them. Most enemies that can be frozen will still go into the hit-animation, so it doesn't matter that they can move for like half a second.

Well! One of my fave teams i have been using recently is Hutao, Xinqiu, Nahida. A kind of burgeon vape team. Nahidas insane dendro app creates both dendro cores and has the burning reaction. While the burning isnt great. Nahidas EM Buff plus hutao with a regular vape build with dragons bane means your hitting around 15k with the burgeon damage and xinqius vapes on a burning target can hit hard. Add zhonglis Resistance shred and you have a team that can 36 star this abyss on the second half. Its a weird team. But its really fun and can destroy all. The name you ask? I call it forest fire. With International, I believe it is called that due to being 1. A national team and 2. the 4 BiS characters - Benny, Xiangling, Kazuha, Tartaglia - all come from different nations (though Sucrose is very good in International too so that kinda breaks it a bit)
As for rotations and Sukokomon, the rotations are pretty dang tight from what I understand. And Sucrose is apparently vitally important to Sukokomon due to how easily she can achieve triple swirl via Guoba.

A team I've started loving is Noelle, Albedo, Raiden, and Nahida.
It's pretty niche, but fairly powerful and fun to use. Though, a downside is that it relies a bit on having Noelle at C6 for a decent chunk of damage.
A brief outline of the roles as I use them in case anybody is curious:
Noelle - Easy to use on-field damage (massive aoe during burst too) and healing.
Albedo - Off-field damage, battery for Noelle, and an EM boost for Nahida from his burst.
Raiden - Off-field electro application, burst buffing, energy production, occasionally produces shields through crystalize. I usually build her with an EM focus for this comp.
Nahida - Off field dendro application, spread/quicken, linking enemies together.

One of my fav teams is the one i call the "hyperbloom/taser thingie", it's childe, fischl, kuki and collei/traveler.
    The normal rotation is:
    -fisch ult
    -collei/traveler ability then ult
-kuki ability then ult (kuki is built full em for big hyperbloom damage)
-lastly i use childe's ranged ult and then go crazy in melee stance until collei's ring thingie has worn off
-then i just recharge energy and wait for childe's melee stance to come back up to start all over
This rotation allows you to get lots and lots of hyperblooms and is very nice against clusters and individual enemies.
