I really enjoy your approach. Even music that does not resonate with me is art. That art is the reflection of someone's inner self. The music that resonated with me as a kid made me feel understood and normal at a time when I felt awkward and misunderstood. I see that happening now with my children. Two of my daughters are teens, ones loves TOP and another MCR because it gives expression to their innermost feelings. These are not my favorite groups because they do not resonate as much with me at this point in my life. But parents need to learn that music is not always, in fact not usually, a medium that intends to send dark messages to our kids and ruin them. It is rather one soul speaking to another through an artistic medium. Music is the search for clarity, for meaning, for comfort, for hope. Your analysis of how that happens from a more objective point of view, will hopefully not only be a good mental exercise, but also serve to break some barriers, especially among the older set who tend to ignore or dismiss what is really resonating with their kids and grandkids. The fact is, its just easier to be lazy and not try to understand. As life changes, so do musical choices. We follow and listen to that which best resonates with our soul at the time. Parents should learn what their kids are listening to and why. They may find out more about their kids through those choices than they will through direct communication. Thanks again for the channel. Great analysis.
Thank you for talking about popular music in an intellectual way. A lot of people dismiss artists like Twenty One Pilots because most of their fans are angsty teenage girls. They say TOP is garbage because this target audience can't POSSIBLY enjoy good music, and that's why [insert genre here] is soooo much better. That's also a reason that angsty teenagers like TOP; their interests are dismissed by a lot of people, and Twenty One Pilots seems to hear (and respect) them.
I think My Chemical Romance is similar in that respect. They are often dismissed as angsty "emo" pop. Now that 4 out of 5 members have done solo projects, the influences are easier to hear.
My daughter, who is 13, LOVES TOP!! She decided to learn the drums and piano because of them. Her piano is slowly getting there but her drum playing is awesome!!! I don't officially listen to them, I'm afraid that she'll stop listening to them, LOL but I really like them. I think that Tyler may be another musical genius. After losing Prince, it's nice to know that there is still hope for music.
'Popular' songs make me feel like I'm not good enough, I'm not rich enough, I'm not old enough, I haven't experienced enough. twenty one pilots make feel like I mean something, know that I have a purpose, that I'm loved. Listening to them, I feel safe, like I'm going to be okay.
This is so so interesting. I've seen a lot of "theories about twenty one pilots songs/music" and it just doesn't seem like those people really research the facts. Not only do you provide really interesting facts, you also look at the music in a different, more emotional way. You don't prejudice anything or anyone. You understand the purpose of their music; it's not just there to entertain others and make the band more well known, it's there to help others. Thanks for making this video.
Holistic Songwriting This. UA-cam is full of subjective content. It's extremely nice to see someone who's more objective and lays it out without adding a spin to it. Keep it up!
I agree with these comments and, while, I know you're just the messenger, the trope of an angsty teen hurts. No because I am one, but because I am a middle aged man, not depressed, but life is hard and we're all battling fear, regardless of age, race, class, gender, or type of struggles. I'm also not Christian, however, the Christian guy that clearly battles depression is one of the realist artists I've heard since my Pink Floyd, Lenard Cohen, Ray Lamontage, U2, DC Talk, MCR, John Lennon, Fiona Apple, Bright Eyes, Brand New, Death Cab days. TOP put all my all-time favorites in the far backseat. Those bands are still wonderful to me, however, there's thoughts like "What was I listening to before that haven't I experienced music on this level until this band? Are artists holding back or are these smol beans truly anomalies?". The relatablity of Tyler's lyrics, along with their musical talent (that could stand alone), makes up the most incredible music I've yet to hear. They've influenced me and my daughter (not an angsty teen) leagues more than any band has prior or since. We later became huge fans of Grouplove and Imagine Dragons but, absolutely nothing touches our lives, hearts, or ears like Twenty One Pilots..... "That's all have to say about that".
What a wonderful video, not at all judgemental, with a genuine interest in their music and an important message at the end. And I kind of expected him to make fun of their "angsty teenager" fans but he actually took this serious wow thank you so much, I'm gonna subscribe
I'm actually really worried about people making fun of angsty people - only strengthens their belief they don't belong. The fact that my treating these "angsty teenagers" as regular people (which I think is just being a good person) has lead so many people to comment really worries me.
Yes unfortunately it's very common to make fun of people who'd identify as "angsty teenagers". A lot of them also deal or have dealt with mental health issues and I guess many who have never been in that situation simply can't understand them and think they're just "overly dramatic"... idk but it's good to see that not everybody's like that and thanks a lot for replying and the pin :)
I honestly thought this was a really good video! It's so difficult to find people who can speak about this band professionally, while also appreciating and respecting them as musicians. I see you've done your research, and I've learned a lot more than I anticipated. Very well done and thanks for the video!
Panicking disco balls fat airport ladys I agree that is one of the most underrated deep songs ever heard Omg you're Shane Dawson username reference is everything 😂😂 |-/
Panicking disco balls fat airport ladys I was going to write an agreement to your comment but then I read your username and now I'm just over her laughing, ok bye I will go now
thank you for such an intellectual video. twenty one pilots' lyrics have made me think, and have allowed me to get to a better place in life. they make songs about things that nobody wants to talk about (anxiety, depression, all that dark stuff) and put it in the spotlight. they really are two amazing guys.
Twenty One Pilots have fans from all age groups not just little girls......which there is nothing wrong with that at all. I just want to say their fan base spans a lot further than that if you just look around. l-/ stay alive
Hey Carrie, you're absolutely right - I would call myself a fan as well and I don't consider myself an angsty teenager :) The question I asked in the video was "Who is my BIGGEST fan?", not "Who could be my fan?"
I just love their stuff. I feel like the darkness and lightness contradicting each other is a direct metaphor for who we are externally vs internally. The contradicting darkness and lightness of their music makes me feel a mix between hopefulness, vulnerability, and sympathy (like someone having sympathy towards me). It makes me feel like I'm not alone in what I'm going through and that someone is there for me. It's quite unlike anything else and has gotten me through some of the worst times of my life. So many of their songs make my start crying so much, and I love it because it actually calms me down.
Please do. Whatever you're going through right now, you will get through it and life only gets better from here. Imho you have two options: Get comfortable and risk that your future looks like today OR make small steps towards a happier life. Don't dismiss this as becoming ignorant or naive. I am fully aware that the world is a shitty place. Just realize that you're a part of this world and you have the power to change it - with your music or a UA-cam video. Humbly giving to other people is the greatest gift you can make to yourself.
Helping people to stay alive and fight inner demons is such a good reason to write some music, right? Thank you so much, please keep bringing us your accurate point of view - made my day.
I was depressed and suicidal some years ago, i'm 15 and Tøp helped me so much through it all. I started listening to them in 2013 so it's some years ago but I still love them both so, so much. I now want to live my life all thanks to them.
Wouldn't work and your points don't add up. Brendon hasn't fully written a lot of songs. Ryan wrote most, almost all of the earlier albums and if you look at the track listings from any album past "Pretty. Odd.", you'll see that he's not the main writer, sometimes not one at all.
I didn't explain it exactly correctly. I meant that there is a meaning behind most of the lyrics, not that they all have the same meaning. I also didn't specify that Brendan write all of the songs. And in an interview, he even states that Pretty Odd. was actually well, pretty odd haha. I would also say that making one about Twenty One Pilots isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world due to how diverse they sound. House of Gold and Stressed Out sound nothing alike, but they still made a video on them :) In the end, if they can do a video about Twenty One Pilots' lyrics, I'm sure a Panic! At the Disco one can be made :D
Wow! This is a great video, not only about the music of 21 Pilots, but also about making music in general. You really inspired me when you said: "music doesn't care if you are broken". There is something so comforting about knowing that great music can come from the best and the worst of times. It's always there for you and won't desert you. Thanks man! You made my evening!
Angst or depression being catalysts for creativity is brought up in the Trench song Nico and the Niners "I'm lighter when I'm lower, I'm higher when I'm heavy."
"Sundays are my suicide days" isnt a reference to actual suicide. Tyler is a Christian. This line refers to something Paul wrote about in many of his books. Dying to your sin. It is a metaphorical suicide.
This is both the most easily understandable and deepest study of the musician - image - songwriting choices relationship I've ever seen. Bought your book, can't wait to read it, great work man!
You’re a living genius mate, you see things so deep and clear. I admire your mind clarity and broad pallet of thoughts you put in each video, and also the amount of intellectual work here is fenomenal. Thank you for sharing such a priceless content with us! It won’t go without use for sure!
Thank you so much!! I absolutely love these videos. I'm trying to implement this stuff as much as possible to expand my horizons. I'd love to see you cover Grace VanderWaal. She's only 13 and somehow her songs speak to everyone. She seems to have a very different sound from every other pop star and I'd love to see you dive deeper into how she does it! Thanks again, these are really helpful :) I'm looking forward to the next one.
I just love them. I know I don't think this much into the music, but I really love them. Their lyrics speak to me on a personal level that make me feel less lonely, and they help me find a purpose to stay alive.
angst teenager: realist, fascination for death, self-critical *me* whoops I also really love this video it helps give even more meaning an understanding to their music than what I already have. ❤|-/
When you mentioned how their music matches the way their fans live their lives, it reminded me of something they say in interviews. They set out to make music for others, and it's always been about others, not themselves, which reflects why the music matches the fans. Just thought I'd add that tidbit, great video, btw I loved it.
Yes! I'd like Mariah Carey next as well, and also take a look at how she writes when working with Walter Afanasieff, Babyface or Jermaine Dupri... If I am right, those are the top 3 co-writters that appear on her songs.
this is the best video that youtube has ever recommended me. I love the way you deliver the facts and your personal opinion without forcing anything or offending anyone, and for this interesting approach to twenty one pilots music. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Been waiting for this! Thank you❤ And please change the description of "21pilots" to "twenty one pilots" because some clique members will be triggered 😂
This is why I love twenty one pilots so much. Their music it's just unique. And it speaks to us fools how to live life better, how to be happy because we can breathe. And that even in our darkest times nothing is impossible, and yes it does sound cheesy but it's true. They just try to do something new and also try to please every fan of theirs.
Great analysis. I have been listening to twenty one pilots since three years and I still find the lyrics and melody that fits my mood perfectly. **Subscribed**
The mean reason why I love tøp: It's not like other songs. Whatsoever. It's not about love, drugs, break ups, or sexual actions. It's about your psyche and thoughts that harass you. It makes you realize that you're thoughts are the point of view in your own life. As if you're the secondary character. ...or not idk it really puts you in that perspective. or just me. it gives me a rlly good set of mind but it's also a v dark place.
I had this in my watch later for ages, almost kind of already disheartened and anticipating to be disappointed in another person dismissing twenty one pilots' music. However your deliverance in this was so respectful and insightful. I am in admiration, nicely done dude
One of my favorite bands, and you did a good job of pulling from a variety of songs, my favorite being Migraine. Very good analysis man, this is fast becoming one of my top favorite channels (I should use that word favorite more often).
I think you missed a point in terms of their changing image, in Fairly Local there's a line that goes "Tomorrow we'll change the beat/ to avoid yesterday's dance." I feel this shows they don't want to become boring or just follow one formula, as doing, or watching or listening to someone doing the same thing over and over becomes boring
When coming from a musical household, all these videos have me both intrigued and wondering why I never noticed these things before. Yet for this band it's more of a "Well yeah, their thing is to do everything and nothing the same". Yet seeing tricks with how it works is fun! All in all great videos to watch.
This is actually really well put together. Your calm voice meshes well with the over all theme of the video, and sets a great base tone just from the first few words spoken. Its quite obvious that you like TØP, and put a lot of work and care into cultivating this video. Over all it was an absolute joy to watch, and I will definitely be checking out your other (hopefully) high quality content. As a member of the clique I as expecting the some of the (sadly) low res. content that we of the clique produce, just from the thumbnail alone, in the end I was pleasantly surprised. My only from of critique *is* the thumbnail, it looks very bland and clickbait-y which is the exact opposite of hat the actual content is and gives the wrong message. Anyways, I should probably get going to your other content. See you friend, and Stay Alive |-/
SWITCHFOOT!!! Would be the most amazing band to do for this!! They have so many extremely diverse songs and have won Grammys! They are my favorite band and I would love to learn more about them through the lens of your insane music knowledge!
as a fan of twenty one pilots I wasn't sure if this video was just going to be some superficial criticism, or actually good work, and I must say this is very well researched and put together. well done!
+Viktor Ceder His melodies are tied strongly to his guitar chords and melodies/riffs... lots of root note I'd assume. Wouldn't mind seeing a vid on that as well.
There are no words for how much I appreciate this video. It's really hard for me to defend my music taste with my parents and this definitely helped. I love how you treat Twenty One Pilots like any other band and analyze it like it should be analyzed. It has so much meaning and complexity that people don't understand and dismiss because its "emo" music.
YeeBoi 69 Just OneRepublic would be cool too, I only offered Ryan because he is writing for a lot of pop artists out there, as well as OneRepublic, and I think he has a recurring handwriting in that, which would be interesting to explore and inspire from :)
I loved this. It's people like this I enjoy seeing. People like me. People who look at music critically, and deeply. Not just the melody or as happy it sounds. The lyrics, timing, the beat, the instruments used, what the artist say themselves. It really shows alot about music and I'm very pleased that other people are looking at music in such an intellectual way as well. Something that also pleased me is that everything presented was presented in a respectful way. No bashing, no rudeness, ect. That's something someone who has a true genuine love for music does. Before I go, I would like to throw my opinion out there. I think twenty one pilots appeals to "Angsty Teenagers" because while modern, and normalized pop ignores the interest of these people, twenty one pilots recognises them. They respect them, and they use them. In doing so, we feel they are the only ones who understand us, creating a loyal fan base. They talk about sensitive topics other artist seem to ignore. Tyler has said "The lyric, lean with it rock with it, is kind of a stab at modern pop music. You we're gifted with thought and you choose to write something like that." I feel if more artist would discuss important topics as often as twenty one pilots we would feel more accepted in music. That's just my opinion. Thank you again for this video. Stay alive everyone.
It's funny how I love TOP and I'm 24. I'm not angsty, but something about them just CLIQUES with me. ;) See what I did there? But yeah, I needed this band when I was a teenager.
This is interesting because I'm past the angsty teenage stage of life but yet I resonate with TOP so much. There's so much more beyond the dark humor and the anxiety present in the songs and its those layers of depth that speak to me. I understand though that you can't really dive deep into those themes because this is a short UA-cam video and that wasn't the point of the video in the first place. I do love seeing how you break down the artist's songs note by note to show us their true creative ability.
I have no idea if Bruno Mars has written any sings on his own, I know he has co-written songs, but maybe it would be interesting to analyse his writting if there *are* songs after all that are entirely his own. Just a suggestion though, I don't know how that could be made possible
Infernal Cookie Bruno Mars actually writes all of his songs, and first broke into the industry as a songwriter. I'd love to see a video on him as well. He's changed a TON from Just The Way You Are to 24k Magic. So that would be really interesting to learn about.
Didn't he co-write just the way you are? And I'm pretty sure he didn't write 24k magic on his own either. The evolution of his songs though can be heard in the way the sound is not entirely different, so maybe he writes them mostly on his own...I don't know. Maybe you are right.
Infernal Cookie I'm sure his biggest hits have had co-writers. Tyler Joseph is the only songwriter that I know of right now that writes chart-topping hits entirely on his own. I do know Bruno is very much in control of the process, though, and dictates what he wants his songs and albums to sound like. He fits my definition of a songwriter, just from what I've read and heard about him, but it's almost impossible to know who carried most of the load on a song when there are multiple writers credited. I've always seen him in the same light as Taylor, Ed, and Adele, as someone who writes 99% of the stuff he puts out.
I guess the other side of it is someone like Beyoncé, whose songs all list (literally) around 20 co-writers, and sometimes she isn't credited at all. That to me is not a songwriter.
Yeah because we can't know how much of each song is his own personality, his character, his soul I said it might be hard or even impossible to analyse his songs the way tøp's, taylor's and the weeknd's songs were analysed. He is definitely a songwriter but I think it might be hard to analyse his songs personality-wise as it happened with the previous artists. Maybe they won't be as cohesive in style (I couldn't know by ear because unfortunately I have 0 music knowledge)
I can really relate to twenty one pilots because of their deep way of thinking, and i personally think that anyone can relate to them. Their lyrics aren't superficial, they have a meaning behind it. It doesnt just say "love yourself"
Aww, I love your message at the end. It's very inspirational and beautiful. Even if you too sometimes feel sad know that life has a hopeful undertone. Best wishes and sending a lot of love from another SkeletonClique member!
Absolutely loving these sessions in the Artists series. My favorite Ed Sheeran song lately is 'SHIVERS'. Love the energy and the catchy fast paced hype of the entire production.
Great work, thank you. And the last reference was unexpected but true. Thanks for showing that those artists, who became so famous are true geniuses in what they are doing. Because the music is popular but special for every person who understands the lyrics at the same time plus the music is different, unique
As a Berklee Student for Songwriting and someone just discovering herself as an artist, I am incredibly grateful to you. Thank you so much for your videos.
You know, it's funny - I studied music in conservatory and expected we'd talk about stuff like I'm talking about now in my videos - we never did. That's why I started this channel. Hope it helps :)
Agree. I'm on my 8th semester with them and while I learned all about the different feelings that starting on the root note, third, fifth can give as well as one note riffs, they never made the connection between image and sound. You have awoken something in me and I'm so excited now to dive into my "image" and my own sound.
Please do Mariah Carey. She's one of the most prolific singer-songwriters, and has even crafted a modern Christmas classic. Give us some insight into her timeless melodies.
Love this channel... Great analysis! It's amazing how simple songwriting is if you can just remember all the things you learned at the moment of writing the song. So much to consider! Ximre's session player talks about general beginner writing ideas and...
Dude, incredible video. Today, in 2022, TOP released them last album "Scaled and icy" with a more "happiness" sound and lyrics. You were right, they change everytime.

I appreciate that you actually do your research to truly understand them and their music
i'm curious if they keep this things in mind when writing or if all of this just happens naturally for them
I'd love to ask them! One of the many reasons I hope that the artists see these videos. :)
They obviously keep this things in mind.
Margarita Babovnikova what makes it so obvious to you tho?
Okay, let say it this way: _Every professional musician is familiar with the songwriting "secrets" that these video series is mentioning_.
oh okay idk i always thought they'd just do what feels right for them
This is by far the coolest thing I've seen in a while, especially that I understand what your talking about
Helping people to stay alive and fight inner demons is such a good reason to write some music, right?
Thank you so much, please keep bringing us your accurate point of view - made my day.
I was depressed and suicidal some years ago, i'm 15 and Tøp helped me so much through it all. I started listening to them in 2013 so it's some years ago but I still love them both so, so much. I now want to live my life all thanks to them.
You should do a video about Panic! At the Disco :D
I agree, but its a little harder cause they've changed so much.
I agree with that, but one thing I think has stayed the same is the meaning behind their lyrics :)
Marchi I hate panic at the disco.
Wow! This is a great video, not only about the music of 21 Pilots, but also about making music in general. You really inspired me when you said: "music doesn't care if you are broken". There is something so comforting about knowing that great music can come from the best and the worst of times. It's always there for you and won't desert you. Thanks man! You made my evening!
with tyler the simplest things have a really deep meaning to it
Angst or depression being catalysts for creativity is brought up in the Trench song Nico and the Niners "I'm lighter when I'm lower, I'm higher when I'm heavy."
"Sundays are my suicide days" isnt a reference to actual suicide. Tyler is a Christian. This line refers to something Paul wrote about in many of his books. Dying to your sin. It is a metaphorical suicide.
Wow I didn't know that, that's really cool!
Huh, that makes a lot of sense...
Nice
Nice
This is both the most easily understandable and deepest study of the musician - image - songwriting choices relationship I've ever seen. Bought your book, can't wait to read it, great work man!
"Life indeed has an undertone" I loved that part. Great vid!
"...to define yourself in opposition to something instead of by what you love" love it.
"The band calls their fans the skeleton cleeeeke." I died.
TEC1 SAME
But now, Tyler refuses to acknowledge the skeleton cleeeeeeke
Grace has popped up several times already - getting more and more likely :)
hi HS, " several times". it actually is the 11th, at least... :-)
Twenty one pilots is my favorite band and changed/saved me in many ways. I really just found out so much about myself.
Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran and now Twenty-One Pilots!💃🙌Really hoping Bruno is next!🙏
I just love them. I know I don't think this much into the music, but I really love them. Their lyrics speak to me on a personal level that make me feel less lonely, and they help me find a purpose to stay alive.
...and this is why every kind of music has its place in this world. It always helps someone. :)
angst teenager: realist, fascination for death, self-critical *me* whoops
I also really love this video it helps give even more meaning an understanding to their music than what I already have. ❤|-/
When you mentioned how their music matches the way their fans live their lives, it reminded me of something they say in interviews. They set out to make music for others, and it's always been about others, not themselves, which reflects why the music matches the fans. Just thought I'd add that tidbit, great video, btw I loved it.
Interesting, thanks :)
how does this video not have more views! This will definitely help when I'm trying to play certain songs on my clarinet! Thanks!
Glad it helps :) And good luck with your clarinet playing!
This is what an intelligent, constructive and logical person would sound like, I'm totally subscribing!
Do Mariah Carey please! She wrote the melodies and lyrics for most of her hits and follows a template with a number influences. :)
Yes! I'd like Mariah Carey next as well, and also take a look at how she writes when working with Walter Afanasieff, Babyface or Jermaine Dupri... If I am right, those are the top 3 co-writters that appear on her songs.
Yess! I love Mimi!
this is the best video that youtube has ever recommended me. I love the way you deliver the facts and your personal opinion without forcing anything or offending anyone, and for this interesting approach to twenty one pilots music. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you so much for this beautiful comment Periwinkle Melody, means a lot to me - shows me that you get what I'm trying to do with this :)
Been waiting for this! Thank you❤
And please change the description of "21pilots" to "twenty one pilots" because some clique members will be triggered 😂
Done - thanks :)
Roshan Rr xD
Holistic Songwriting lower cased... not being picky, just trying to help 🙂
Charlie Love
it doesn't matter at all how anyone types it.
Charlie Love it doesnt actually matter if it's lower cased... who gives a crap
Please do Alt-J !!! That'd be so interesting!
Agreed :)
Cool :)
I'm trying to start songwriting and I feel like I'm doing a crappy job. The last minute and a half truly inspired me. Thank you for that
Do "How Drake's ghost writers write a Melody" next.
Good one :)
Great analysis. I have been listening to twenty one pilots since three years and I still find the lyrics and melody that fits my mood perfectly.
**Subscribed**
The mean reason why I love tøp:
It's not like other songs.
The 'angsty teenager' realist, fascination about death, self-critical
aaaaannndddd there i am!
I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting with the video but I'm in tears now? That inspirational speech at the end hit me hard. Thank you for that.
Thanks so much Amanda for your honesty.
Panic! At the disco please!! I really enjoyed your video ^^
Thanks PipIup :)
Holistic Songwriting Oh holy heck I didn't think you'd reply! Thank you. :)
SWITCHFOOT!!! Would be the most amazing band to do for this!! They have so many extremely diverse songs and have won Grammys! They are my favorite band and I would love to learn more about them through the lens of your insane music knowledge!
whoever has made twenty one pilots one of or their only reason to stay alive i am with you
stay safe, stay strong, stay alive, stay street xx
as a fan of twenty one pilots I wasn't sure if this video was just going to be some superficial criticism, or actually good work, and I must say this is very well researched and put together. well done!
Wow I'm the living breathing definition of your interpretaion of an Angsty Teen
I have a new found respect for 21 Pilots thanks to this video and advice.
Do John Mayer, the legend himself
+Viktor Ceder His melodies are tied strongly to his guitar chords and melodies/riffs... lots of root note I'd assume. Wouldn't mind seeing a vid on that as well.
Yes, please, I love John Mayer's music
He's done John Mayer's songs.
This comment you're seeing is on episode 4, and he did it on episode 5, sometimes people ask something it's been done, but this is not the case duh
That label has always bothered me, because it makes a group of people that already feels excluded feel even more like they don't belong.
Please do Paramore!
Loved this!
Great video, thank you! I hope you make one on Ryan Tedder :) Did you hear his latest song, No Vacancy?
a Ryan Tedder video would be very interesting!
MrBurningvolcano how about OneRepublic in general, not just Ryan?
Great comment, thanks Stay Løw! I have nothing but respect for tøp and am glad to hear that that comes across in the video :)
Your videos make so many great points! I love that you don't downplay the importance of authenticity in the songs.
Glad that came across :)

*TRIGGERED*
Salty Lemon omg
lol same xD
omg yess xD
I can really relate to twenty one pilots because of their deep way of thinking, and i personally think that anyone can relate to them. Their lyrics aren't superficial, they have a meaning behind it. It doesnt just say "love yourself"
panic! at the disco please!!
Aww, I love your message at the end. It's very inspirational and beautiful. Even if you too sometimes feel sad know that life has a hopeful undertone. Best wishes and sending a lot of love from another SkeletonClique member!
Do EMINEM please
That would be awesome. But I do think he has changed style quite a lot from My Name Is to Not Afraid
I am literally the exact audience their songs are aimed at. They’re my favourite favourite band so well done tøp
Do panic! At the disco next 😁
Absolutely loving these sessions in the Artists series. My favorite Ed Sheeran song lately is 'SHIVERS'. Love the energy and the catchy fast paced hype of the entire production.
Twenty Øne Piløts is the reason why I'm alive |-/
Chelsea Padilla-Ho |-/ I'm here fam
Great work, thank you.
And the last reference was unexpected but true.
Thanks for showing that those artists, who became so famous are true geniuses in what they are doing. Because the music is popular but special for every person who understands the lyrics at the same time plus the music is different, unique
Do Panic! at the disco
DAMN how have you only got 8k! You should at least have 1mil man, I'll stay with you all the way to see you rise👍
Please do Lana Del Rey!!
Hey man, I really like the way you break these subjects down. The professional and the personal. I'm learning a lot! Thx.
Do Gorillaz!
The quote at the end though! So inspired! Thanks so much for making these videos. I can't wait to start working with you!
im kinda sad cause im the only kid in my class that has dark humor
Awesome! So happy to hear that :) Looking forward to diving deeper in the next couple episodes!
I love these boys.|-/
Extremely well done video, was surprised by how in-depth you went. Well done.
Please do Mariah Carey. She's one of the most prolific singer-songwriters, and has even crafted a modern Christmas classic. Give us some insight into her timeless melodies.
Certainly a challenge :) She has done so much. Maybe :)
yet in fact there is a bunch of videos about Mariah's hits, especially holiday songs.
just in two videos only i can say this channel is incredible
Milky Chance please :)
Love this channel... Great analysis! It's amazing how simple songwriting is if you can just remember all the things you learned at the moment of writing the song. So much to consider! Ximre's session player talks about general beginner writing ideas and...
could you please do lana del rey?
teen lioner yeeesssss
Another great video. Its criminal that it only has 3.6 thousand views!
Just referencing something for myself to practice my incapable hearing..
4:12 ... 4:21
I can only distinguish the difference when I pretend I kinda hear the difference so my brain convinces me that I did hear different... help
This is so nicely and friendly said. Even the part with describing the fans wasn't judgeful how some other people do it.
Really good video! :)
Thank you :)
0:32 Twenty Øne Pine nuts
Ha! Missed that one - good ears ;)
Dude, incredible video. Today, in 2022, TOP released them last album "Scaled and icy" with a more "happiness" sound and lyrics. You were right, they change everytime.
