- I really enjoyed every step of this project. I think the yellowheart and purpleheart really compliment each other. I tried something new on the finish with this bowl. I tried Myland's High Build Friction Polish and I'm glad I did. The shine is superb and the polish went on nicely with little effort.

Enjoyed this very much. What's the benefit of using a negative rake scraper? What does the term "negative rake" refer to?
Hi Bob, thanks for watching. A "negative rake" scraper is a tool where the cutting bevel is angled downward. As such, it can make very fine light passes without the risk of catching. It also greatly reduces sanding time.
