  • I really enjoyed every step of this project. I think the yellowheart and purpleheart really compliment each other. I tried something new on the finish with this bowl. I tried Myland's High Build Friction Polish and I'm glad I did. The shine is superb and the polish went on nicely with little effort.

    Well Dan, "turned out nice again". Yes the contrast between the yellow heart and purple heart look quite spectacular together.
    Your idea of inverting the two colored smaller segments between the longer ones on the two rows worked splendidly.
    All in all, another smashing work of art fit for 'center stage'.
    Once again, until your next adventure, regards and best wishes. T.

    Enjoyed this very much. What's the benefit of using a negative rake scraper? What does the term "negative rake" refer to?

    • @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft
      @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft  2 роки тому

      Hi Bob, thanks for watching. A "negative rake" scraper is a tool where the cutting bevel is angled downward. As such, it can make very fine light passes without the risk of catching. It also greatly reduces sanding time.

    Dan, love your work! I notice you start every video with a spreadsheet. Is there a particular software you use to calculate your segments or do you do the math yourself? Thanks for sharing your awesome creations!
