I have been watching all your videos over past few years and I must cordially appreciate, you have been thoroughly specific in all the videos. Extremely helpful. Thanks - - Pujan from The School of Cricket (Bangalore, India)
Really helpful video sir. Learned a lot from it . Sir iam having a doubt what if the ball swings in from the 5 th stump line and ended up hitting off stump , in that case should i take a stride into the ball or should i still use the technique you just thought . Please reply sir
Hi my name is, pooja, jamdhade form aurangabad Maharashtra good, job for, me i am following u re video my english not good,, i am playing cricket last two years ... Tnx for u, re video
Playing swing bowling is like playing spin bowling, it needs room to move. If you can read the length early and get as close as you can to it, the ball has less room to do anything great.
Pavan Kumar c That’s very kind Praveen . Hope fully we will have Rajasthan Royals Academy in Hyderabad soon.. Please follow me on @siddarthalahiri in twitter or RRacademy on Instagram. You can also follow us on@rracademyuk on Twitter
really it's helpful sir, thank you sir I have dout and problem in batting, while am batting my right shoulder opens for off drive and most of time I get leading edge when I play flicks. pls give me suggestion sir
Even during county matches I’m having this problem which is proving to be concerning . I often close myself which means the ball usually hits the inside edge of my bat or hits the pad . I have tried opening up but when I’m in a game I naturally make that mistake again .
By this drill or basic Still ball comes and hits your front pad you can play inswing ball by covering your front pad with your bat rather than playing straight... by covering your front leg with bat you can easily play for on drive and flick shot ...
Sir please tell me how to do pick up bowler delivery and length some coaches said watch the bowler hand but I'm doing this things but when I'm watching bowler hand ball coming very fast
It’s incorrect. Wht do you do if one ball holds its line, your feet will be no where close to line of the ball and edging towards keeper. How do you know how much ball will swing as each ball may swing differently. At 140kmph you won’t have time to do all this. The basics of batting is to cover the line of the ball and be ready to react to any swing. Hence reflex is key and as people age they lose reflex and that’s why greats of cricket retire. Also if one ball swings out and other in, this is not the way to play. It’s important to learn the right thing the right way and that is to cover the line of the ball.
Salim Sarfaraz Salim , you are right , but please remember we are teaching young players a method to develop their muscle memory . It’s exactly how we react and play the ball on the off side . Once the muscle memory is developed the batter will be able to play on both sides of the wicket . What you are talking about is making the judgement of playing both in swing and out swing . That is for advanced players , we are trying to teach the easiest methods of learning the on drive to young cricketers . Once they learn the method of playing all the different shots , they will be able to make the decisions on applying the different methods to different balls and that is called Shot selection my friend.
In practical where ball comes at more than 130kph on Yorker lenght or pitched at 5th stump line; this technique would fail. In real world, in swings are leathal. This technique is simply for on drive.
Prateek Kumar Gupta Hi Prateek , this video is not for the batters who can face 130 KPH , this is reaching young cricketers the basic technique. You can only face 130 when you are a professional cricketer and by the time you become a professional your foundations are strong .
@@RajasthanRoyalsAcademyUK There was no malafide intention. I was trying to connect teqniue mentioned in this video to my level. I play for Railways senior men's team as opener and I really don't like in swinging deleveries that too with new ball. ☺ But working on my techniques for improvement with little open stance and standing outside crease. Your suggestions for more improvement shall be welcomed. Thanks.
It is quite obvious that the bowler won’t waste his technique on feeding you half volleys or full volleys, which you can play without moving your feet. Best solution can be the Virat Kohli’s back and across technique, knowing where is your off stump. Doing so we can manage the incoming balls by defending it and attacking the balls which we feel are on the middle stump moving away to our legs.
But when you edge it or if you miss the ball? The ball obviously won’t be this slow pitched up to you. It will test you, going back and across will give you space and time to defend.
Hi Kamlesh , My videos are aimed at teaching young cricketers improve their basics . It takes years of practice to get to where Virat kohli is . So please understand my aim Is to help coaches to improve the basic technique of young cricketers
I totally agree. I love your videos and even I relate to them so well. But, I thought maybe not moving the legs will create trouble for the batsman. Rest, it will work for basics of course. Thank you
Lahiri sir is moving with his head first, that solves many problems. Good batters will always expect a close ball and move with their head first. Inzamam ul haq and vriender sehwag never moved their feet yet scored tonnes of runs. Accessing the ball alone matters more than great footwork.
Been playing for 40yrs and this is the best inswing and coaching drills I have seen. Very simple and will really help my game and coaching.
U r the best coach i have ever seen...easy wording..best methods..good teaching skills..plz keep uploading vidz..tnx..from pakistan

I completely understand. Please send me a few videos of you batting and will send you my suggestions.
You trying to say is play the ball late??

I think if ball is in swinging from good length area it is play front foot under your head, main thing is let the ball come to you.
