Minelab Xterra Voyager Metal Detector -Backyard Testing

- Today’s video I wanted to see how this Xterra Voyager rings up targets that are normally found either detecting the beaches or parks in the USA.
I run all metal mode test & jewelry mode tests to get an idea on how each target might sound and TID (Target I.D.) numbers. I sweep the coil over each target from the average junk targets to bottle cap/pull tab to coins & jewelry.
I hope this might help some get an idea on how this machine runs. I will be taking this machine to a local park I hunt on a regular basis, stay tuned for that video coming out soon.

love the large display. most think you have to have a nox 800. to find things. some of the entry level detectors minelab make are so much fun to find things. my 340 runs on multi frequency all the time same frequencies as a 800. have a good day.

Does it work in dry lands with gravel stones
Anywhere dry as long as you don’t get the control pod wet, even in light mist don’t use it. It’s not waterproof. Just sweep the coil as to not hitting the rocks. You want the coil about 1/2” above the ground you’re sweeping in. Thanks for commenting, sorry it was late. 👍🏻

It’s an air test. Just put some dirt to effect the signal a bit
Does it only detector coins and rings what about gold
In Gold you mean like placer nuggets?? I wouldn’t count as it’s not designed for it “frequency wise” more of a cheap coinshooter. Thanks for commenting 👍🏻

I started out with the Xterra 705 and upgraded to the CTX3030 and I have to agree w/ you about minelab how it’s changed. I won’t even get the Manticore but I’ll get the Xterra Pro since I still have NOX accessories. Thanks & Cheers 👍🏻
That does NOT sound like any other Minelab detector. They normally have a distinct tone that you immediately know it’s a Minelab.
It literally sounds like the Garrett Ace series.
Thanks for the comment. Yeap doesn’t sound like Minelab, just a Chinese made w/their logo slapped on it w/Minelab’s approval. That’s my guess.

Its a terrible machine in all honesty even worse than the nokta lte has no depth and reminds me of a chinese knock off.
