  • I go over the super basics of brain anatomy, the cranium, cerebrum, cerebellum, and the four lobes; the frontal lobe for higher thinking, the parietal lobe for motor and sensory actions, the temporal lobe for hearing and speech, as well as the occipital lobe which is good for sight. Not only that but we go over some other simple parts like the cerebellum, that is that lower part that looks kind of like a ball of yarn. It is for balance and a new word for some (proprioception) which is being able to tell where your hands and feet are in relation to your body without even looking. Also we go over the connector between the two hemispheres, the corpus callosum. Next we go through the ventricles very briefly (I will do another whole video on that) as well as the hypothalamus, the pituitary, the brain stem, the pons and the medulla oblongata. Later we can go over each part in more detail. Remember to draw this will help you remember it. In fact I spoke to a nurse that has been working for like 11 years and she still has her drawings!
My Anatomy Class with Dr. Sean also covers Medical Terminology.
