We sell on Poshmark and almost 100% of the time we use the USPS boxes for shipping vinyl records purchased from us. By using the USPS boxes we pass some savings on to the customers, as we do not to have the additional expense to purchase boxes from another source. Cheers

im not sure if you have figured out the label yet but the usps near me will print them for you for free and they deal with all of it for you

I make sure the post office scans the label and I also take a picture of EACH receipt, ive been selling so much since I started using the mobile VA service so I need to keep track of the labels somehow!

How do you get the post office or UPS to come to your house and pick up the box for you?
Google "USPS Schedule a pick up" and it should take you to the right page. I think UPS does it too, but they might charge a fee.

Hi Hustle & Slow! I am so happy to see this! I have a question about the usps boxes. I ordered some but they say flat rate so they charge me the flat rate charge, even though I already paid. the rate is around $15.00. You said the usps has a deal with poshmark. Can you point that out to me or tell me where to find the info?
I'd like to know the answer to this question, as well. The medium and large boxes do have "flat rate" on them. How do I know USPS via Poshmark, won't charge me the $15.50 or $20.40 -$21.90, depending on location in the USA, for using these flat rate boxes. Are you saying, if contents 5 lbs or less, is put in these flat rate boxes, the $7.45 Poshmark label will surfice? Also, what is you take on using "Regional A and Regional B, type boxes, instead. I like seeing what others use for shipping. I just ordered some of those cardboard envelopes because I was using too many plastic bubble ones. Do you use those cardboard envelopes for Poshmark too? Also wondering if you package items in plastic bag before placing them in the boxes. Thanks for making this!
I do use them occasionally! Usually for stuff that doesn't make it bulge too much so that it doesn't get torn in transit. Mostly stuff that goes flat pretty easily. I don't put in plastic, I just fold nicely and slip it in :) No complaints yet!

TFS! I have a few question. Can you use a different box for larger size items like handbags with the regular shipping label? Also, can you use the heavier shipping label on a flare rate envelope/box?
Yep! It doesn't matter what kind of packaging you use, you can use your own or you can use Priority Mail.

Juanita McCord To answer your second question. Both buyers & customers must have a valid address listed in order to buy or sell. In case an item has to be returned, & also just overall identification & protection.

Hope someone can answer my question! If the consumer payed the shipping and its less than 5 pounds and I live in CA and its being shipped to Florida would I have to pay for the distance? Or does the shipping fee they payed apply anywhere in the US at no extra charge?
As long as it's under 5lbs you can just print the label and send it. No need to worry about location or anything else.

You're welcome! Sometimes you can just drop it off if they have a drop bin, just read any notices that might say there's a weight limit, etc.

Hello like your content very helpful, I just had a question about the box max size limit . It says "108" in the postmark site, I'm not sure what that is . I just recently started selling on mercardi and printing labels on pirate ship. And I'm just a little paranoid about the box size I don't wanna go over and have it return to me.
"Poshmark uses USPS Priority Mail for all US orders. Per USPS policy, the maximum combined length and girth of the box used must be no greater than 108". This means that the combined measurement of the longest side and the distance around the thickest part of the box cannot be more than 108"."
Hey newbie here, so I saw a shipping price when I was on my account, so is it ok to up the price to a higher amount (if possible) so you can be on the safe side? In case the items is heavier than 5lbs. Or just leave the price as is? Hopefully that makes sense lol.

Why would I need a label if I'm using that type of an envelope from USPS, thanks I appreciate your response. I do.
You still need to attach the label. The label is prepaid, not the envelope itself. The package still needs the buyers full address as well as the label and all the info on the label to show that shipping was paid for.

Is there a link that will let you forward printing I don't have a printer at home but at work I do .
The label gets emailed to you so you can just log into your email or poshmark account and print that way.

Do those tyvek envelopes protect clothing items? I ordered a handful thinking they were similar to poly mailers and find they seem thin and flimsy so I have yet to use them worried they would get punctured, ruining the clothing.
They're actually pretty strong, I personally don't worry about them getting punctured.

Thank you for this information! Lets say I have a sale to one customer for multiple items and combined they weigh 7 pounds. Can I split the items in multiple packages and use the same shipping label?
You can only use each shipping label one time. If it's 7 lbs, you will need to pay for a heavier label. When you go to the order, at the bottom there will be a link that you can click and request a new label. I don't remember exactly what it says and I don't have any open orders to check, but I think it says something like "Problems/Order Inquiry".

You have to get the boxes yourself. You can either order them on USPS.com or go get them from your local post office.

Yep! You can use any box you want. I love reusing boxes as long as they're clean :)

You can use your own OR USPS Priority Boxes. Either is fine.

I want to sell clothes i don’t use anymore in relatively new-good condition
You don't have to, you just need to be sure that your whole package is under 5lbs. I only weigh if it's a bundle or heavy item to ensure I don't go over that weight limit.
I was told at my local post office to use my own boxes because if I use these boxes from the Postal Service I would have to pay for that. I told them about the buyer paying shipping and the flat rate up to five pounds through Poshmark she said I would have to pay the difference of what the customer didn’t pay them which for one box I was going to use it was $16 and the customer pays I think seven something? It was confusing and I thought that the lady was telling me wrong at the post office but it made me nervous so I did not use the boxes from the post office and I’ve been using my own boxes.
I know some people have had issue with this, unfortunately. If they're really giving you a hard time then it's probably just best to use your own boxes.
I use the medium flat rate box & the post office gave me a lecture when I alway ship with the medium.. lol.. I don’t know why

Once the funds are released into your balance you can request a deposit.

Are you able to drop off the flat rate envelopes or medium flat rate boxes inside those blue corner mailboxes?? Or do you have to drop those off at a post office??
I would check the box themselves. It's been so long since I have tried that so I can't be sure but I think that some of them have a 13oz weight limit. But you should be able to read the labels on there to find out.
They money for shipping come out of your sale. So you have to mark the price up more to cover shipping and profits.
Nope. Poshmark charges the buyer for shipping separately. The only time it comes out of your sale is if you offer a shipping discount.

can you use blank padded envelopes that say nothing on it? and then just tape the label on
Alexis Spiegel From what I’ve read on the poshmark support, you can use a regular brown unlabeled box with the label taped on. I think it may work with a regular vanilla envelope, but don’t take my word for it. Hope that helps!
Any advice for shipping something very light? I have lingerie listed which doesn't weigh much..How can I know if because of its weight it may send for less? Does posh care about this at all?
