Only found this recently, but I’ve already watched it again and again. It encapsulates the tragedy of the bad end. Only good intentions all round, but ultimately things work out. This looks really good, good work making all this! (Love the artists notes by the way, it’s cool seeing you explain your thought processes behind each part of the animation)
I watched this when it came out but didn’t really understand much since I skimmed through P5Royal lore, so this prompted me to go do research, and then I got into PMMM later. I already knew and have read An Urgent Appeal + Lower One’s Eyes. I am back at this video again and I believe it just shattered me to pieces.

Gotta say, the frame at 1:41 has gotta be one of my faves… the look of anger before it gets wiped away is depicted so well. Also the doorframe parallel w/the bulkhead door is soo cool, esp since how each time, it’s a different one of them causing that separation. tldr: this is such an awesome animatic

Hello, I rewatch and brainrot over this video a completely normal and healthy amount :) (the woman lied as easily as she breathed) I never thought about the Phantom Thieves panicking wondering where the hell Akira is on the final day, that is SUCH a painfully good idea!! god help me I cant get over Akechi's split second expression at 1:41 it's so full of hatred it gives me chills, then it gets wiped away and you're left with a confused oblivious 'Akechi' HHHGRRGRRR IT HURTS SO MUCH IT'S TOO GOOD I'M GOING FERAL Akira dancing with a corpse, Lavenza realizing what he's done, the Akira/Akechi Maruki/Rumi parallels, 'destroying the world in the name of love'UUUGHNGADSASKAAAAA ok im normal again. This has to be one of my favourite ever P5R 'bad end' animatics, it just delves into the fucked up aspects of the fake reality so well and it hurts so bad and that's what makes it SO DAMN GOOD-!! DREAMS DO COME TRUE also i just wanted to say the chessboard scene made me giggle a little though I LOVED the implcation of whar it means. I took it as the board being represented of like trying to make everything okay by just brute forcing it to be friends or like solving conflict by forcing each other sides? Idk it could also show the inherent wrongness of the games and how it reflects the wrong in the fake reality they have and im just taking it too far. Also the white (which im assuming presuming is Akechi) is trying to protect his king by guarding it with his Queen in a last ditch effort to save himself? Absolutely delicious. I know its for imagary stuff and thats why white didnt take the queen instead of using his queen to protect his king but i like to take it as Akechi not wanting to take his queen because he doesnt wanna hurt Akira in a sense but maybe thats my tiny little Akeshuake brain speakimg 🎆🎆 Anyways Im putting it here if it was White's turn he could immedietly eat the queen and the next move for white is instantly a checkmate. Take that as you will Also as a chess player i find it funny how they'd set that up in a real game. Like slowly moving their kings to the other side one by one. Made me rlly giggle for a while

This was amazing to watch and i loved the part where he danced with the skeleton 1:38 , it felt as if he was desecrating the memories they had and although i read in the description it was done just cause, replacing the skull with flowers added to it by making it seem as if this desecration was done in love. But at the same time disregarding any feeling akechi might have, rendering any act of love towards him to turn to pure mockery as he is forced to live as nothing but a puppet dancing at the command of someone other then himself. And the fact this was drawn so well is something to be proud of. (｢`･ω･)｢♪(┌・。・)┌
