Originally it was meant to commemorate Ferdinando IV, but this most aching Lamento by Froberger, performed by Chiara Massini so beautifully, commemorates her (I assume) music teacher, Univ. Prof. Gordon Murray, as mentioned at the beginning of this upload. I'm sure Chiara, he heard you, where ever he is. Thank you for sharing with us this sad emotion and heavenly music.
