Missing the old days 😢 this song fits my attitude on any given day 😎😎 30 yrs in seat and things sure have changed a lot 🧐 I’m and old trucker lost in a new game 😳
I'm 40 years in and 4 1/2 million miles behind me. I miss the old days, running triple digits and having blast. It's boring now, but it's the only way that I know to earn a living.
I started driving in 87, drove to 02. Back when you could take your loose leaf log and drive when you felt like it, and sleep when you wanted to. No cell phone, no satellite tracking crap, no governor under the hood… Good ol outlaw trucking. Driving all the way across Texas overnight… and from Smoke to Shaky in a couple days. I went back on the road in 2014, drove until 2021… man, it was a totally different world than what I had left just a few years earlier. Getting texts letting me know I was driving 2 miles over the limit, texts warning me I was approaching the end of my legal driving hours, etc. Honestly no room for an outlaw. In 2021 I lost most of the vision in my right eye from an accident while strapping down a load, so I lost my medical certification and ended my trucking career. I still do and always will love my fellow truckers, but I can do without what the industry has become.
Love hearing from the old truckers what it was like in the old days sometimes I feel I shoulda been born in the 40s or 50s instead of the mid 90s I'm trying to be like the old boys an I'll keep trying. I wish I was trucking in the 60s 70s or 80s I think I would have loved it.
Lol 😂😂 you boys forgetting about us ol reefer haulers coming out of the west coast to the east in 4 days c'mon we still out here just slowly disappearing
Started in the west TXS oilfield in 1980. Driven everything but bull wagons and parking lots. Raised on a dairy farm so didn't want no more cows! Old school outlaw trucker. Hell I've still caught myself lighting another cigarette when there's still one lit I just sat in the ash tray! I sure miss if nothing else the old days when folks ran a "big" radio & wld talk. Hey south bound drop whad ya leave behind ya? Nothing but trouble! I hear ya hand !

Guess you never drove with your eyes burnin outta your head, look in the mirror to be sure you cleared him and an armature flashes high beams in your mirror...Dim lights (turn off and then back on) and I will Dim trailer lights back to ya! To many say this and say that... Show me.
@@JBuzzman69 exactly, that garbage drives me nuts. My dad taught me the right way and when it is done correctly out there it is soooooo badass 😂. I mean when a trucker just kills the lights for a few and then turns em back on and the other guy flashes his marker lights a couple times just is plain cool 😎. These new age boneheads look like idiots out there. I’m like oh is he saying there is a cop on the other side of this hill?! Or is he just having a spas attack trying to flash his high beams at another driver (during the day) lol
Bruh! Let me stop you there. Lights off….. pause….. lights on. No high beams! Flash marker lights unless it is the daytime. It looks badass if done right by both drivers and is much easier on the passers 👀

Little bit of double high beams and lil bit of flashing the hazards. Common road courtesy.
