    Very good - Lots and lots of hours of hard training have gone into your art! particularly enjoyed your mastery of the wooden dummy. As Mr. Bruce Lee would say- WALK ON!

    How would you fare in MMA? If you put on gloves- will it make any difference? If somebody will manage to trip you - how would you defend on the ground?

    @TiLdEnPrOjEcTs Jeet - Kune - Do training around 5-6 hours a day Mon - Friday
    I do allot of sparring these days it's one thing doing the JKD but can you apply it in sparring that's the real test. Your welcome to my school any time as long as you have a good heart and your intention for training is right then you can join my group its very small group I teach 6 people.

    Keep in mind, this is one person's individual translation of JKD, this guy is a great practitioner, probably a great teacher too, taking NOTHING away from this badass, but for the sake of UA-cam vs an actual session whith the full range of his knowledge, everyone has to individually seek to interpret their own essence in relaying technique based upon ATTRIBUTES (power, speed, flexibility, timing, range maintenance, line awareness etc), and seeking the techniques that best compliments those attributes to their own natural weapons. For instance, size, reach and physical proportion will affect which techniques work best best for you vs another fighter at various ranges. Respects.

      ***** umm no he wasn't he said express urself and don't ristrict yourself

    • @timahartist537
      @timahartist537 9 років тому

      but he didnt disagree with it, a kick to the head is further but stronger than a kick to the foot, that means its the quickest way to get them down, disagreeing with high kicks are traditional rules which he disagreed with

    • @timahartist537
      @timahartist537 9 років тому

      bruce doesnt disagree with any fight style, jkd is a philosophy and he uses it how he prefers,legs are stronger than arms so two punches are slower than one kick, most people arrent as strong as bruce so one punch isnt enough

    • @timahartist537
      @timahartist537 9 років тому

      yes i agree but the stance of an experienced fighter will block the groin

      I agree. He is damn good, but he is not teaching JKD. He is using his own JKD but how can you tell. We dont know what he is blending or expressing. No one can teach you how to express your arts causing them to be your own JKD.

    How are you deciding what techniques to use when your opponent is attacking obviously you going through different scenarios and teaching yourself how to get past them but how does one train for a random attack one someone comes and just starts right away and you have little time to react. Is there any forms of training to build that reaction time? Eg. when you catch something out of mid air and you weren't supposed to is there anyway to develop that?

    good power and speed but his balance is a bit off
    if you study the body moments after all of he's kicks.
    but the power of he's kick is Perfect
    we who train martial arts. are training for prerfection. and therefor Also got diffrent wecknes.
    but thats why we keep study and practis.
    best regards Danny from 🇩🇰

    in reality jeet kune do is a fighting philosophy but bruce lee taught his students how to fight in his style of jeet kune do or jun fan jeet kune do. jun fan jeet kune do is a mix of many things like wing chun, boxing, and fencing.

    rofl taky did the seattle stuff and wasn't so great, the best was jesse glover but he moved on and didn't use Bruce's name. Dan is mainly responsible for misrepresenting Bruce's martial art which was all about finishing fast and all about streetfighting. dan has no streetfighting experience you can see that. all he does is breaking everything down in drills basically another way of doing forms. even bruce told him that.

    A common thread seems to run thru all high level of JKD practioner is that each of Masters of JKD is that they develop a personal styal of JKD and not getting stuck in a classical mess. I mean that if you read any of Bruce's writings he warnsm against such tendances. of only one way of practicing it . Hence him saying that he wish wished he had never came up with the name of JKD . Just Sayinng !
