- Guitarists Eric Lambert and Elliott Gruenberg have made a video asking fans to submit their guitar covers of their new single "Promised Ones", taken from upcoming album Awakening. The winning entry, as chosen by the band, will win a signed ESP guitar and other prizes - see below.

• Watch the demo video below (or on UA-cam here) to learn how to perform blessthefall's new single, "Promised Ones."
• Create an original response video showing your guitar skills. You must include at least the first verse and chorus of "Promised Ones," and you must be plugged in so the band can hear what you're playing.

I don't understand why people freak out about the guitars not being directly plugged into an amp. Even if they didn't have an electric wireless amp, who fucking cares? They wrote the damn song and have played it hundreds of times and can probably do it with their eyes closed in their sleep. My god people these days are arrogant as hell.
i hate how underrated this band is as musicians.
Underrated all the way around. Jared is such a strong vocalist. The guitarists rip. Beau has a great range. Blessthefall are so slept on, even today, it's almost heartbreaking.
@@spishyofficial honestly. They deserve more attention, awakening was a 10/10 for me, and I’m really new to screamo but god damn the album hit so well
@@spishyofficial You’re right about everything except Beau’s range. All his live videos are disappointing asf and I saw them live a few times and he’s just as disappointing. He’s a great studio vocalist and has great stage presence though 🤷🏻♂️

its one thing to be able to play that, but its a whole other thing to be able to write that stuff, these guys are seriously awesome!

Okay I looked at my scale chart now and you win, the natural scale has one fret interval greater than the harmonic minor scale, such that the harmonic minor scale in 12th position in E standard has most of its notes on the 12th, 14th, and 15th frets with some on the 13th fret (same as the pentatonic blues scale, but has notes on the 13th fret unlike the pentatonic blues scale), while the natural minor scale in 12th position in standard E extends to the 11th fret extending the fret interval.

I think the sweeping in the solo is the easiest part of the song.
I think getting the intro @00:30 to sound right is impossible for me even though I try all of the musical theory and guitar technique it still doesn't help me because I just suck too bad.

If it helps, American standard ESP's usually have the model name on the twelfth fret
Only Elliot is using an LTD Deluxe, Eric is using a straight up ESP Eclipse with seymour duncans put into it

You Google tabs for harmonic minor scale, and those are the only tabs you will ever need for the entire Awakening albumn.
Oh. I didn't say that natural minor and harmonic minor had a practically identical sound; I said that melodic minor and harmonic minor had a practically identical sound.
I don't know how to play natural minor so I will have to look at my scale charts now and see how it compares to the two above mentioned scales, the melodic minor and the harmonic minor.
@TheBeastermaster lol they did show how to play it :P They are still playing the exact same notes. The ONLY difference if they played in live and plugged in for the camera would be the audio. The way they did it is smart cause you get to see what they are playing as well as you hear crystal clear audio, whereas they might have missed a couple notes here and there if it were live. i guess it just preference tho, some ppl (like yourself) would rather hear it plugged in.....i can dig that
@DinoandDansMusic tell that to bruce kulick, silenoz, george lynch, gus g, max cavalera, ron wood. willie adler, and michael wilton, and im pretty sure you buy an esp because its comfortable and is of good quality, not because it has emgs

Gibson was the first company to ever create the 'electric guitar' made by Mr Les Paul himself, so i'm pretty sure Epiphone are a budget brand made and owned by Gibson.
@ellis0896 no...you don't. You do not buy a guitar solely based off one thing about it. You buy a guitar based on the specs, the quality, and the feel. Sound can always be changed, quality and feel cannot.
@XxxscooterfortxxX some of they're songs are played in C#, such as this one and another example is "hey baby, heres that song you wanted".

its not an ec1000 because its not a 24 fret, its more than likely an eclipse or something esp made him
Eric(white guitar) is lead, Elliot is rhythm, but as you can see they sometimes switch between lead and rhythm parts.
@Goth3m3 if you knew anything about the band you'd know that the bassist does the screaming, and that the singer is just a singer. and he's amazing live, sings perfectly. i agree that the screams are a little harsh, but its not as bad as it could be.

right then you'll see that the three scales are different, and that the one blessthefall uses is aeolian/natural minor.
I have the ec-1000 vb, just like elliot, and have the same color pick is elliot, and the same strap O.o

Is Eric's guitar customized?
Because all the other Eclipse's have EMG humbuckers and he doesn't have those.
He's using Seymour Duncan JBs (passive) I think it's a regular esp eclipse with the pickups changed
He seems like an official member if he is listed as a guitarist on the band's Facebook page.
