As someone who just bought a used UDR, this is all spot on accurate. Luckily mine lived it’s life as a shelf queen loaded with Vitavon
Good buy.
Great info, as I've been looking into these. I'd probably get a new one, anyway, but I wasn't aware of the v2 and v3, so thanks for that!
Thanks. They are great trucks.
Awesom video. Lots of good info.
Thanks for feedback
Just bought a used udr roller, thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed our video - we are just selling off one of our UDRs - of course it has had a full rebuild which has been featured in a video - someone will get a great bargain
I painted my lower arms with truck bedliner. No more damage from dirt and rocks.
Hmmm makes a difference? How does it look?
Bypass shocks can be installed😊
Happy to review a set
Detail stuff is nice. Like the brakes and oil and fire extinguishers. Why take it off. Paint it make it look real. If you don’t like the detail just get a slash lol
Need to be used and the details stuff just gets in the way!!
I just bought one used. It’s a v1, and comes with traxxas battery and charger. It apparently only been run on 4S. And it has rpm trailing arms.
4s is kinder than 6s for sure on the truck
@@TeamRC3D Yeah, but I can’t resist driving it on 6s when it arrives.
Yes we did a comparison between 4s and 6s. Once you go to 6s never going back to 4s
Thank you
Great vid what website should I go to buy one ? EBay ?
Keep an eye out on ebay FB any sort of market place
I wouldnt ever sell mine as i know what ive put mine through. Mechanically it is nearly perfect. My shocks need rebuilt and the front diff also needs rebuilt. Mine is a first gen BUT i did install the light kit. To give you an idea as to how old and beat up it is, ive been through 3 complete sets (all 6 each "set") of tires, two front metal center driveshafts (prop shafts), 2 different rear axle housings, 3 seperate light bars needed replaced, and on my second ESC. Ive broken very little on the truck just a lot of wear on the parts. The front arms, rear trailing arms, rear upper links, and front center driveshaft were changed on the day i received the truck. It still works, but needs a 4th complete set of tires again. Like i also said, all 8 shocks need a complete rebuild and front diff fluid needs changed and really should do that soon as winter is coming to a close here in a month or so.
Good to hear that is it is still going strong. What ESC are you running now?
@@TeamRC3D im currently on my second Traxxas one. Replaced the first one under warranty. If this one dies, im definitely going Hobbywing or Castle.
Is the skid plate on top made for the udr
This is a 3d printed item which we have made. We can supply them if you drop a message on Facebook to discuss
I have a sbr2 load with vitavon. 1/6 vitavon price almost doubles 👎🏻
That stuff is £££££
No guide. Just buy between around 5 600. And start up grading over a long period of time. No hobby car used or new will be cheap or last with out breaking. Just got mine last month used. Runs great and all used or new will bring issues. Loose screws and or maintenance needed when purchased.
Just buy it. Its a hobby worth keeping.
But you need to know the condition you are buying - we have seen some truck which need complete new drivetrain!
