You're right! I didn't notice!

I didn't catch that! Thanks for pointing it out. I thought, why are the credits half of the vid length lol!!!
STOP I LOVE THIS
Once I realized he was using the baby weight as a lucky numbers, I knew he was being sweet. This was very touching
I hope he won!
@@Maki-00 *He did Maki-00 at the end when the pictures came out **5:37*

I thought he was going to sell it lol. Glad I was wrong
I thought he was going to be a troublemaker but he is honorable & a lot nicer than you initially think he would be.
Yes, it was a lesson on never judge the book by its cover.
That's the thing, city guy's are actually pretty cool. They just have a vocabulary problem lol

Community and good neighbours are wonderful❤
Thank you and that was what this piece was about... my love letter to 8th Street.
@@meetyooleehey when the ladies agreed that it was nice to have a baby on the block again and then looked at Anthony, was that a hint that he at one point was the baby of the block and they watched him grow up there?
@@CleverAOYM Good observation and yes, Anthony was born and raised on the block.
A place like that would make my social anxiety go berserk, but I would work so hard to get over it because these are good, nice people and that's just what I need to get OVER my social anxiety.
I totally get it
Oh man this comment resonates with me. I used to keep to myself a lot in my teen years and into my early 20s. I had an apartment alone in 2020 and I remember I met this kind older lady who became my friend as well as my neighbor (we moved in the same week and we met when we were viewing the apartments before signing the lease). Through that friendship with her (she was a very charismatic, social lady) I ended up meeting my immediate neighbors and becoming friends with them. It was a tough part of town and we frequently got bad people who would enter the apartment building, so it was really important to know my neighbors to stay safe.
Kind people absolutely do help with social anxiety! I never expected my neighbors to reach out to me and be nice first. It really changed how I view strangers and I feel like a kinder soul, certainly less nervous around people. Good luck my friend!

@@user-eq7sb1ex8g That's the lesson I am trying so hard to learn right now.
Mine is savannah trailer trash park 🤪
I was born and raised in Jersey City. That was a great depiction of 8th. And even the surroundings. I sure miss it. Thanks for this fantastic memory.
That is the best compliment. It was indeed a very special street and neighborhood!
My daughter was born in Jersey City @Christ Hospital, I can't wait to show her this #short !
right? the ambiance is spot on too. really beautiful work
I use to live on Columbia Ave many many many moons ago!!!
👋How you doin' Jersey?
What exit? 😉✌️
Wonderful, you can feel and smell the atmosphere. Great film. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your kind words!
I have a Sicilian cousin named Anthony who gambles , and looks and talks JUST like this😂😂i gotta show him this shit😂😂😂
Lmfaooo what’d he say?
@@kaylah9206 I sent him the video like "aye cuz I found you on youtube" and he replied F YOU😂😂😂😂 (jokingly) he actually thought it was hilarious.
😆ha ha!
😂😂😂😂😂
Bring back community, care and genuine, friendly neighbors ❤
I totally thought Anthony was going to steel the money for himself. How sweet though. She really lucked out. A nice guy living next to her and her daughter gains three grandmothers!! Such a sweet story!
please do more, it's quite exciting to see creativity in this stop motion anim 😍
Thank you for your kind words! You can watch a follow-up to this, streaming on Max called 'Welcome to 8th Street'.
This was so wonderful!! So well put together! The set was amazing, the character voices were awesome and the story is just wonderful for the soul. I hope whomever the folks are who worked so hard on this achieve really great recognition for their works. Beautiful work guys. Just beautiful ❤️
This is incredibly kind of you to say. If you happen to live in the US and have access to Max streaming, you can catch another episode. It's Only You series and episode No. 2. Thank you!
As a NJ native, my grandma lived in Jersey City... TY for this ...brought a lesson home and me "home" for a little while 💖💐🌏 (now reside in West Africa...quite a different place, but still decent people)
Thank you for sharing that, I loved hearing it. West Africa is indeed far away from JC but you are correct, decent people and good neighbors DNA are all the same, no matter where one resides.
This was so lovely. Clicked when I saw the cute little black grandma and realised it was about babies. Such a sweet little short story. Hope there's more to come. Thank you ❤
Sorta reminds me of a neighbor of mine. She lives across the street. Don’t know her name but she encountered me as I was walking to the corner store as I don’t have a car and she said she was worried and asked if I was Ok as she hadn’t seen me doing my usual corner store walk or the opposite way to the bigger store a quarter mile away. She talked to me as if she knew me. She talks very loud. I told I was fine. She also said she sometimes watches me doing my front landscaping. Felt a little creepy at first but then realized she was keeping an eye on me to make sure all was fine. She’s a nice lady. Another neighbor of mine who passed away about three years ago at 92, I used to do her backyard. My pay was food. And we’d sit on her front stoop or in her swing she had in her garage. I’d do a beer run for her and we’d sit and enjoy a beer together. She introduced me to her grown daughter and her teen daughter. Two other neighbors I sometimes visit with. But I sure miss Milly. It’s nice to know your neighbors. There was one guy who mowed people’s lawns for free. But I paid him with one of my art pieces.
Turns out to be a great neighborhood. With Anthony being nicer than I thought and decent protecting the new mother and baby. Nice help from th elderly ladies to who enjoy visits from the baby and mother.❤
This is an awesome portrayal of J.C., we lived on 1st St, near the park!
My daughter was born there, and although it wasn't the best of times, it certainly wasn't the worst of times.
“a little more common decency”
Great work, a lovely portrayal of not just community but of New Jersey as well❤️❤️
Thank you!
Is it still like that
Aww it’s over already!? I want to see more from this little neighborhood. Good job putting this together! I hear how painstakingly long putting these sort of animations can be!
The start is like moral orel, so pretty
I love how this shows the tender side of Jersey that I feel gets so ignored. Like yeah Jersey can be a rough place but once you got ya people you, ya babies and ya grandbabies gon be good.
Yeah, Jersey and New Yawk. I was born and raised in Queens NY. I moved away back around '93. I went back once in 2001 for my father's funeral and haven't been back since. I don't miss the winters much but I do miss that New York State of Mind a lot. You can take the boy outta NY but ya can't take NY outta the boy. Luv ya New Yawk! ❤
New Yawk, New Yawk, a city so nice they hadda name it twice! 😉👍 🇺🇸💪🇺🇦
You took the words right outta my mouth! New York State of Mind. There's nothing else like it.
@@singsonggirl9267
Do you live there now? 🤔
@@geoben9801Nope. But I do miss it; especially the people.
@@singsonggirl9267
Yeah, I miss the people too. REAL, no bulls**t, Just tell it like it is. And the food. I haven't eaten White Castle in years! And I soo miss Greek Gyros! So where are you living now if I may ask?
Your style of animation reminds me of this tv show I use to love called “The Pjs” with Eddie Murphy as the star of the show. I really liked this and look forward to seeing more of your content. I will surely subscribe. ☺️
MY FAVORITE SHOW
I remember that show too🎉🎉
@@sheilatucker9440 right I wish it still was on television

Oh man, I cannot express in words how much I love this style of animation. I love it to the point of tears. It’s so utterly incredible to even witness how these movies are brought to life, and there is something very satisfyingly human in the imperfect faces of the puppets. Almost like it’s a condensed capture of humanity. These movies exude more emotion and art than those with actual live actors, in my opinion. If anyone likes the British Band Keane, they have a gorgeous MV for their song “bedshaped” that’s been made in this stop motion animation style. While the song itself is so beautiful, the animated depiction of the struggling, distorted man is even more striking.
Thank you, I agree with everything you said!

This is incredible!! I love the world building and all the care and attention to detail down to the grime and flyers >:0 gives me allot of nostalgia for those old stop motion late shows like the pjs or morel orel. Seriously fantastic i hope you keep making badass stuff
Meetyoolee, you should upload more of these. Love em'. And make them longer.
It's stop-motion animation... very time-consuming but I really appreciate your feedback.

I just know this took forever to make and I always admire that so much whenever I see stop motion videos. Just the detail put into everything including the background of the set is just insane!! /pos ✨❤️
It did take forever! It took one year and a lot of cast and crew working together. It was the first narrative story I got to do outside my school, and it was filmed in my garage. I joke it shaved off 3 years of my life.
this art style is so crunchy and satisfying
Very well done, BRAVO!!!
This was really good and I can imagine a lot of work went into the final cut as this type of animation is not easy!! Very talented!!😍
