It's awesome to see the modding community this active. Once upon a time, some actually called 1.13 the "worst" version and feared it could "kill" modding, one of the few things keeping MC alive at the time, cos of the inferior performance and the changes Mojang did. But because it revived ppl's interest in the game - I mean, it was the underwater update, finally - there was motivation for modders. The subsequent updates and the new launchers, mod loaders, and tools only boosted that interest. Now, we have more mods for modern MC than even 1.12.
On the topic of 1.12 nobody talks about how inconsistent mods were back then, modders would be making their own things with no real regard to how they interacted with other mods and it just made for a messy experience. Now, with Mojangs updates providing really solid foundations, as well as touchstone mods like Create and Alex's mobs, you can plop 300 mods into a modpack and all the content can still feel like its from the same game.
@@EnigmaticGentleman It's not just Mojang but also today's modding sites and communities that paved the way for modern MC modding. Back in the day, we didn't have a dedicated site for mods like CF and MR, and mod packs were difficult to do and uncommon, which would explain why modders didn't consider compatibility with other mods. I remember pack builders needing written permission for _every_ mod they included cos they had to redistribute them, lol. That and the MultiMC launcher and CF were new during 1.12 (2017-'18). Makes sense that the inconsistency you speak of was still around this time. Cmiiw, tho; I was away from MC during 1.8-1.12. Heck, I still found some 1.16 Forge modders who made their mods w/o other mods or mod packs in mind.
i agree. 1.20.1 is the best version for modding in AGES. And, to be honest, It'll probably be the last version to have MASSIVE support for Forge, as NeoForge branches away and brings all of the ex-forge modders with it. Modding is at a pivotal time. The future is bright.
3- there was a mod lets you create dimensions with books. I don't remember its name. For example if you find petrollium lakes and ocean world page you can create petrol oceans. ( Pretty useful for technic modpacks )
nice to see relics on here. i have a few suggestions of my own, Mirabilis: Biome Overhaul - overhauls vanilla biomes along with biomes from BYG, also adds 4 new original biomes of it's own. Illage and Spillage - adds all new unique and powerful illagers that can appear in raids, some of them being bosses. with this mod, raids will be a LOT harder. Fishes' Undead Rising - adds many undead creatures along with a few bosses and minibosses. unfortunately some of the mobs such as the banshee can be annoying. Savage Ender Dragon - makes the ender dragon fight a WHOLE lot harder. it's very customizable and goes along great with this next mod, Dragon Loot - adds scales as loot for when you defeat the ender dragon. these can be used to craft different blocks and items such as ender dragon armor and a dragon anvil. The Betweenlands - the best dimension mod imo. it's about to be ported to the latest version, and it's music addon, Eternal Melodies was recently released. thanks for reading this rather long list, i think these mods are really underrated and deserve a spotlight. thanks for making your videos, they're super helpful! :)
I love the cascades mod, it's perfect terrain for Minecraft. realistic terrain doesn't really fit, though I do like caves and cliffs, so this mod just mixes the giant scale of caves and cliffs, and the weirdness of beta and amplified
Cascades: So good-looking, wow! I instantly feel a bit of nostalgia! Chalk: Very neat, unintrusive, clever! Antique Atlas: Not only does it look good, but the reveal of PoIs only when you visit them, made this mod for me so much better!
here are some underrated mods you can show in a next video for 1.20.1: "Experience Bottel Recycler", and "Gore and More". The first one adds the ability to store your xp, a great addition to a light weight vanilla friendly modpack, the second one adds blood splatters and 3d clumps when you hurt or kill an entity, each of those changing color depending on the mob (its even compatable with other mods like alex mobs).
@@StarLeader44 Oh well, apart from Immersive Portals, dimension mods are cool, Ad Astra if you want to explore new planets, perhaps regeneration mod and weeping angels mod if you like doctor who.
You should take a look at Axiom or Flashback, both developed by moulberry but Axiom is a building tool with the power of worldedit and a full gui. Flashback is a mod similar to replaymod but improves apon many problems that it faced plus it also has a fancy new gui
Your Like The only mod reviver that does not use AI generator scripts and voices. I appreciate that EDIT: omg I just Realized that i put reviver instead of reviewer bro
Antique Atals is the only map mod I've ever considered using, man I remember not being able to find a new version of it and thought it was discontinued, amazing to hear that its not gone
FINALLY, ANTIQUE ATLAS FOR NEWER VERSIONS, since 1.16.5 i fell in love with that minimap mod, and i missed it so much, thanks for the highlight eyeball dude
Finally someone is talking about remove reloading screen! I have been using it for quite a while: reloading resources for me takes long enough for it to prove deadly on servers with custom resource packs, and so with this mod I don't have to ensure that im not out in the open before disconnecting.
Hi AsianHalfSquat, id love to see some videos talking about the differences between forge, fabric, neoforge, quilt, etc. I feel like its getting hard to manage them all haha
IMO Ars Nouveau is the #1 minecraft mod. Ive never played a more engaging and fun magic mod, and its been around forever, and come a long way since Ars Magica
Chalk is such a creative solution to a problem I have! It would’ve come in handy in my multiplayer world on Bedrock many times cos we don’t keep inventory on.
Please can you make a vinialla plus mod pack with like 100-300 mods id love to see your opions on vin ialla plus. samual gerkin and flow state both have really good vinialla plus modpack just if you want to.
See, I love Ancient Atlas, but can never put it in a modpack with friends because quote "Xaero is so much better dude." And to that I agree. But there is a charming aspect to just having an actual book of maps that makes me feel like an explorer.
Definitely like the solar cooker even though it is slower than the furnace. It at least doesn't need fuel just solar power. DO you know any good time mods that will allow you to configure how long days and nights are for 1.21.1?
The mod that removes the reloading screen is really great, but I found that you can't F3 + T while holding your mouse button anymore. Small bug, but it really is annoying when you want to just hold your mouse button for a long time.
Hello, i have a question, has something happened with mod loaders? I find that for this version EVERYTHING is in neoforge, and i mean it, mods that were previously forge only or fabric only, and i like it but its confusing why it happened out of nothing
DNTs structures are cool but if you install all of them it ruins the landscape because you cant go 100 blocks without this huge structure, and it kinda ruins exploration

This whole video is better then the entire Minecraft movie
Definitely one of the movies of all time
Except Jack Black. Probably the only good parts of the movie

The relics mod looks SO polished it's really cool
2:32 The question I must ask
Are these bridges made from natural light that is pumped from the surface?
If you rubbed your cheek on it, would it be like standing out with the sun shining on your face or would it just set your hair on fire?
That plush is giving me “Eye-Brawl from Skylanders” vibes and I simply cannot unsee the similarity.
i miss that game
That terrain geration mod is EXACTLY what I was looking for, Thanks you!
2:35 can I eat the chalk
