I was out near Wistman’s Wood / Bellever Forest on Tuesday, so it was nice to see Black-a-Tor Copse 👍. Great to see your first product review 😊. Out of interest, what walking boots do you lads use? There was nothing listed in your kit description, so just curious as my old faithfuls have had it, and I’m looking at getting a new pair. As usual, a fab nightscape Phil👏👍. I know what you mean about Lints tor looking like a many faced rock. Bit like one of the granite outcrops on Fur tor, with an almost sphinx face looking out😎. Hi Pete, You are welcome for the latest video (happy days)😂, Yea Lints Tor Was beautiful day and night. Bellever forest down near Postbridge? Not been there yet. That review gave you a good view of our boots lol. They are Scarpa Delta GTX boots Pete, and I must say they are very good in every aspect, except weight they are a tad heavy but they are full leather. You should of seen the stars up there by eye Pete was amazing👌. Funny that as WJ says that Lints looks like a sphinx from Dinger way lol, odd what people see from different places 😜. cracking camp as ever lads, I often camp at lints tor, if viewed from dinger tor ish area, looks like the sphinx. But 73g for a peg!!?? all my pegs for my notch tarptent wiegh less than that, lol, but nice to try in heavy weather i reckon, i tend to use Swiss piranha 150mm pegs in bad weather, not had one pull, perfect for dartmoor. Hoping to get out this weekend, works been full on lately, need a night under the stars, talking of stars, noticed Orion rising just before dawn on yr starlapse, Winter is coming. ATB WJ
Hello Jay, Lints Tor was lush, its funny what people see in Tors lol. Just had a look at them pegs of yours, look a bit like my enan pegs (well the shape of them) look good for holding power. Yeah do it Jay, get on out on the moor, I know what you mean with work, goes on and on don't it🥴. Yea I just got Orion before day light, after xmas will be in the sky all night😎👍😎. To be honest we don’t know if it’s filling up, we’ve not been back yet, would imagine it will start to fill back up soon if it's not though! We’ll have to explore the island if we get another chance! Thanks for commentating Phil & Alan 👍
Sorry UA-cam didn't notify us of your reply! You're right the island is outside the allowed camping zone, but no we wouldn't camp on it, we've been caught out by the West Okement River before! The water level came up massively overnight and we couldn't cross back over it to get back the next day! 👍

Thanks John! Yes Lints is one of the stranger rock formations, Vixen Tor down by Merrivale is another one we think looks like a face! 😀

Yes it is a private area but you can see the tor from the road and you can get quite close! Haha maybe we're just seeing things 👍
