That's something I really appreciate about GW2. I am not pressured to play the meta. I can do whatever I am interested in. Thanks for watching and leaving an encouraging comment. I'm really convinced that GW2's community is one of the best if not the best among the MMOs I've played.
He can only go that because GW2 allows it. It doesn't rush you to anything. You can enjoy the game doing whatever you want and like and yet you will never be behind anyone.
@@dallassukerkin6878 I think one of my favourite thing to do in the game is simply flying around on the skyscale and enjoy the beautiful world of Tyria. 😅
The feelgood video of the month right here!!! Thank you for reminding us all to have fun and do what we love. Fun sometimes feels long forgotten in this dark, hectic, min/max era of gaming. dark and hateful era of online gaming. Thanks for the good vibes buddy. Much love
I think doing fishing and world bosses is a good combo because I usually fish while waiting for the events to occur. Also, the world bosses inject a bit of action after a zen fishing session. 😅
Honestly guys fractals is easy and very noob friendly since you have to work up to lvl 100 anyway. So when you start everyone at that lvl is in the same boat. Raids are a different beast altogether lol
Guild wars 2 is the only game out there where you can go to the starter map, gather stuff and make money for end game stuff and that will be just as important lol. Sometimes even more important because not many people do that anymore.
I share your aversion to strikes, factals and such as I too don't want to be the weakest link and cause the group to fail! But, I think I'm going to have to put some effort into fishing now due to your success there.
In an online World where metas and a min-max Mindset becomes progressively more common this is a wonderful reminder that games can be enjoyed multiple ways and sometimes you just gotta sit bag and smell the flowers.
Subscribed because I loved your authenticity & sincerity. I actually also stumbled upon GW2 after searching for games that have fishing mechanics. And in other MMOs I played, I also loved foraging which is why I do a lot of it in GW2, too. Keep doing what you love. 💙💙💙

I am glad you had fun along the way! 🙂Farming just for the sake of farming is terribly numbing. GW2 is great because you have a multiple ways to play it (and earn gold). The lower ones are kinda noob friendly and fun 🙂 There isn't much of toxicity in the (at least lower tier of the) PvE in general.
I totally agree with you. GW2 gives me a lot of freedom in terms of how I can play and enjoy the game. One of my greatest joys is simply flying around on the skyscale. I thank Anet for making it easier to obtain the best flying mount with SotO. Another thing I dread in fractals apart from the fear of failing the squad is the jumping puzzles. I know instanced content might seems scary and that is understandable, but I highly recommend you start with fractals at tier 1, everyone is a noob and the system is designed so you slowly climb a ladder and improve as you go! Also, I'm curious how many spirit shards you've accumulated
Thanks for the encouragement. After I joined an EU guild, I did try with members but because of the time zone difference, I never really participated regularly. I'm too timid to join a public fractal. I don't have many spirit shards. About 5500.
@@vinshenoldnoobgamer😂😂I don’t have “many”. That is an insane amount. 3.7k hours in and I am sitting at 167. Granted I use all my spirit shards to make legendaries than sell them. If I had that much, I’d probably have over 20k gold with how many legendary weapons I could make and sell.
Tells you what a noob I am. 😂 I didn't know you use spirit shards for legendary. I do craft them for my own use, but I don't remember using spirit shards in the process. 😅
[fast] Farming Community has a website with a live price updated spirit shard to gold conversion optimization tool. You can use them to upgrade and flip a lot of different materials for profit if you don't plan on making/selling entire legendaries (though those are ultimately a more profitable use of them). Crafting dragon's weapons (aurene precursors) is another way to turn spirit shards into gold.
@@vinshenoldnoobgamer You can always equip them with glyphs of volatility but they are quite pricey on TP. If I did math right one would work on itself after beyond 28k strikes assuming you bought it for 700G.
Thanks for the info. I will consider it and hopefully there will be a discount on the gem store for the set. One of the reasons for gold making is to exchange it for gems.
Glad to see you enjoy the game! Is it the greatest mmo you’ve played? I don’t find any other mmo that I enjoy as much as guild wars 2 even when I get bored of playing i know I can come back and just jump into anything content and have a good time. Collections and farming give me trouble I find them tedious, like winterberry farming for the trinkets.
It's actually one of the best I've played although my list of MMOs is limited to Albion Online, GW2, ESO, BDO, FFXIV & recently Throne & Liberty. Currently, I'm on a longer break from GW2 due to some unfortunate reasons, but I do hope to jump back in for the Janthir expansion. Can't wait to try out the homestead. I don't do much collections, but I really enjoy exploring the world and doing open world bosses. Earning gold and exchanging it for gems. One thing I hope to see from Anet is a graphic update. That would be perfect.
I really hope so. Recently, I've been playing Throne & a Liberty and the graphics really blow other MMOs away. I consider GW2's open world is the best and if it's updated graphically, then it's almost unbeatable for years to come.
I think it does, and mostly because it sounds like a big number, but remember he prefaces the story by spending soo little on everything that all the gold is saved up. Say you earn the minimum 20g per day, so if you just made 20g in 3-4 hours per day, and _actually_ played the game every day for 1 year, you would make 20 * 365 = 7300g. And just short of 15K in 2 years of playing 3-4 hours per day. Obviously you're not going to play 365 days per year, so account for that by making perhaps 40 or 60g on some days and 0 on days you don't play, the maths still come out in the area of 12 - 15K in 2 years. AND - bottomline - all these guides exist for min-maxing your gold earning per hour that you can probably make even more per day playing. But then again - most of us spend money on all sorts of crap in the game unlike OP who has been running a watertight ship on expenses, it seems :)
