Yeah, the lather tends to be drier when I do my second pass. I should put some more water in it, when I relather. I tend to go with a shallower angle and increase it if it's not shaving my beard. As long as the straight razor is shaving the beard I'm not too picky about how shallow the angle is. Thank you for your comment. :)
I absolutely love your video, and the calm, humble way you present yourself. You make me feel less silly going into using a straight razor, because you're not a speedy, flawless machine in this video.
That lather looks and sounds very dry and not lubricating or viscous. I may be wrong, but your angle also looks very shallow (too flat against the face) and seems to be "sticking" to your face.
