Leaf Shave - The Twig and The Thorn Razors - 36 Day Beard Shave

- Links to the razors are at the bottom of the description. In this video, I shave a 36 day beard with Leaf Shave's The Twig and The Thorn. I shave the right side of my face with The Twig and the left side of my face with The Thorn.
The razors appear to be identical with the only difference being the amount of blade exposure. The blade exposure seems to be controlled by a screw.
I haven't tried myself, but if you bought The Twig and wanted a more aggressive shave you could probably mess around with the screw.
Overall, I preferred The Thorn razor over the The Twig. The Thorn was able to shave my beard better which matters when you shave infrequently like myself.
Both the Thorn and The Twig seemed to have issues shaving the cheek area about 1/2 to 1 inch from the sides of my mouth. I tried tightening the skin which seemed to help a little bit, but ultimately I resorted to an across the grain pass to get those hairs.
Shaving the jawline with the grain was awkward to say the least. It felt more awkward than shaving that same area with other safety razors. I think this is due to the angle of the head of the razor to make it harder to nick yourself.
It did feel a little bit more natural holding the razor with my right hand for my left jawline and vice versa as compared to using right hand for right jawline and left hand for left jawline.
Between the two I would go with The Thorn if you were absolutely dead set on buying a Leaf Shave safety razor. However, personally I still prefer the Bevel safety razor over the Leaf Shave safety razors.

I really applaud you. I think you should have used a Clipper first!! You're asking alot of any razor to take your 36 day beard down from full to skin.
I’m definitely too lazy to use clippers first. 🤣 Plus if I did that, then I couldn’t use and abuse my razors. I definitely like to stress test razors.

I own a twig and a leaf. But... I hate the way they name their razors, it gets too confusing. And the company's' name is "Leaf Shave." Come on, somebody in their marketing department needs to be fired.
Other than their naming conventions, the razors are awesome and I was finally able to stop buying expensive cartridge blades.
Would you like to have more hair in the head? Like triying to regrow you hair. To have more to shave.
If you open both razors, the Thorn has a dot on the inside. The Twig does not.
Well, your angle was too flat, the handle is designed to be held relatively plumb. The head is set close to the right angle for shaving so you basically canceled out the designed angle the way you held it. Cool video regardless 👍

Yeah let's be honest, both are not great for this amount of facial hair. R41, Fatip Piccolo or a even cheaper Pearl ssh-01 would take it down immediately
