I am one of those oddities that still really likes the Flare 2. Maybe that's because it still has the classic soundcore tuning and I don't usually go over 50% volume on the little guy? Possibly little known tip: If you turn the flare 2 upside down it fits in every pool float cup holder and the drivers are on the bottom so the sound is not hampered. Instant cheap floating bluetooth speaker!

I got a Sony a few years ago with lights that had good reviews. Don't remember the model but it wasn't cheap, over $100. Thought the lights would be a cool little added benefit but actually grew annoyed with them quickly and turned them off. Ended up returning the speaker because it didn't really have the sound I was looking for. Anyways, point is I think lights are gimmicky and won't ever factor them in again on a purchase.

Let me explain , motion plus : 155 (amazon) , stormbox blast : 230(amazon with free shipping) , boombox 3 : 350 (not amazon and without discount). Considering everything i have found . . . Im gonna keep my motion boom for now ! Also what are your thoughts about the Sony speakers ,like the xg500 ? Nice video by the way . . . As always !
Alan, what Bluetooth speaker did you recommend for 90 euros with strong bass and clear sound? I'm considering Motion Boom or XSound Mega for listening to most edm, sometimes rock or metal, but I'd rather ask someone who knows more about it, you do great reviews of speakers, these tests are great to listen to and watch. Boom beats the mega but you will need to use custom eq to bring out some clarity. You might find a deal on the mifa wildbox which can be more neutral than the boom but depends what firmware you get.
i doubt it, they never wanted to work with me for some reason. I have asked in the past. They once offered a loaner when the bigger channels were finished with it 😂 i just bought my own after that!

I've planned to start Giant Professional audio company in 2030, I've also planned to acquire some of small companies like tronsmart specially Soundcore (to stop making Bluetooth speakers with poor hardwares and massive awful marketings.) That's my only way to force stop what these companies doing with wrong direction.

Great job Alan. Alan i keep goin back to grabbin the tozo pa2 not pa1 for when i wanna use a small speaker . The other day they had it for 29.99 was on sale for 39.99 then extra 10 off but out of all the recent smaller size speakers ive bought and most returned lol motion 300 bogasing m5 flip 6 the tozo pa2 is the one that legit surprised the hell outta me. I like the sturdy handle on the stormbox pro. I hang it on a tree branch when I'm working in the yard and it sounds pretty good. Besides the base issue, Version one had battery problems and they'd stop taking a charge. I went through a bunch of units before tribit finally sent me a version two. I don't how tf that first piece of junk left the factory, but I'm satisfied with the one i have now.

Do I understand right that the glow is not perfect but it's a good speaker for the buck, and with EQ it can be made sound better (cutting the higher freqs)? no its not a lively dance speaker, its more sedate and pleasant, i wouldnt recommend it,m the tribit stormbox blast would be better but no lights. does it have to be 360?

I must say that I don't like how either of these speakers sound, and that I'm still happy to have my Motion+ with me.
360 speakers are always a tradeoff from the on axis listening position. of course the motion plus nails all of them on axis 👍

Instead of making new 360* speakers they should make more unique frontward firing speakers or stereo. Amd possibly make them more on the party side 😁
how many variations of front firing can there be? in this form factor that get away with a single driver.

you cant do much with that high end peak, you can tame it little and smooth out the overall sound but not in a dramatic way
