/ woodsandbarclay In this video I show how to replace the 2 old capacitors on the back of the clock. This is the cause of a failed clock 99% of the time.

Great video John. I watched this and fixed my clock last night. I used a solder sucker and solder wick to remove the old solder before pulling things apart. They’re inexpensive and do a great job of removing solder before pulling the capacitors and ground strap. Thank you. ❤

Great video, it's been really informative.
I have a question: Can these capacitors also cause the clock to not keeping up the time correctly? Recently mine started to act up.

Well if they are failing they could be working intermittently and that would cause the clock to have incorrect time. So I think so yes.

Thanks for the detailed video, one question : is it the same with the "big clock" ? (my 123 200D doesn't have a tachometer) Thanks :)

I've never looked at one of the big clocks before but I'm sure it would be a similar design.

I have done both the clock only version as well as clock + tachometer ( rpm )
Principals are the same, the clock only one is easier as you don't have to worry about the tach needle being out of spec if you bump, bend or remove it.
Replace the two 100uF 16Volt capacitors
Now, the capacitors i recommend are "non polarised" type, so you can install them 'backwards' and it will still work, saves those who aren't used to electronics making a mistake and having to do it all over again, or perhaps damaging the clock.
Also, you must install at minimum 16 volt capacitors, however it's better if you go higher :)
I use 50 Volt, 100uF non polarised capacitors in every W123 clock and they have all ran perfectly since.
