Over the next few months I'm working to transform the entire Boatem Town from Season 8 of HermitCraft! In today's episode we'll focus on Pearl's bases.

Just a random ideas that might look cool.
1.) Some buildings with cannons on top near pearls area/the hourglass area to defend boatem again Docm77 and Rendogs shenanigans.
2.) Maybe rebuild the area around the boatem void of death to have a real meeting room down below.
3.) Some stupid idea would be so add some kind of amor stands below the botem hole to remind us all of the sacrifices that were given to the boatem hole...yes I mean Scar specifically!
I hope I did not list anything that was already done >.
And, of course, a 'secret' way down like hidden staircase or a hidden ladder.

Interesting transformations. Also the cheery bloosom trees look a little bit flat at the top , maybe you can upgrade them in next video .
Ideas:
1. For Mumbo, I do still think you should lean into the Hippie vibe his starter base was going for. But you can also add in the Potaman concept as well. Since he did turn into a Potato Man during season 8. And the entrance to Mumbo's storage system does remind me of Batman.
2. The docks being a major place for where exports and imports going through makes a lot of sense. Especially since Impluse would so have the crates with the candy his factory makes going through there.
3. Again, to tie everything together, the some of the houses on Mumbo's Arm Chair Mountain being on the connection between his base and Grian's makes sense. Especially if there's some Steam Punk houses there as well to help connect Scar's base.
As I think next is Mumbo's base something I'd love to see done is a reference to his totally non violent way of having people/mobs die, e.g his end crystals. Maybe inside his base due to how little of the inside was done there could be a room that looks like a small factory where they're being made or something lol.
This series is absolutely amazing, I love seeing what you do with all the builds!
Maybe add some more varied pink blocks to the leaves of the mega blossom trees. Pink glazed terracotta, wool, pink coral, etc. Also just wanted to say amazing job as always!
I think you did a pretty good job replicating Pearl’s terrain. She’s such a magnificent builder for terrain and that makes her stuff hard to mimic, but you did really well.
Since you take suggestions for additions to the build, maybe the castle would have its own stables too, but full of llamas? Like they’re the ones supplying the shipping llamas.
Heres an idea. Maybe build a variety of houses all around the valley just to make it feel a lot more communal and tie the megabase together more. It'd be pretty neat if the houses matched the architectural styles of the bases they are closest to.
Oh also in regard to Impulse's base, you should raise it up to be on top of a mountain so that it ties better into Boatem as a whole.
Perhaps the back of Pearl's megabase castle has its own dock? And given that there's already a small interior cavern I think it would be really cool if this private dock for the castle was nestled inside another cavern, built with support structures that look in-between the dock village boat-based architecture and the Japanese inspired castle architecture. Something like old boats used as the dock platform itself, purposefully flooded and sunk, and then the castle-like infrastructure around it.
I love that idea like the cave docks of Hyrule Castle in Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom
Out of all the things, I'm really impressed at how the blocks you picked for the candy jar really do look exactly like those gum ball machines. It's hard to be intentionally random and make it look natural.
Idea for the new addition of the interior, add a small boat to the pond inside the cave in Pearl’s base.
Also, if her base is meant to be a light house castle, then it may be worth expanding the area into the shores of the ocean, adding a few rocks here and there and making the ocean dangerous for ships passing by, giving the lighthouse more of a reason to exist.
What if there was a hole in the cliff connecting scars seasons (10, 8 and maybe 7) together
Pearl - extra trees a alleyway a small picnic table and chairs overlooking a view of the mesa

One idea to add to pearls base I had, would be to add a waterfall flowing down from the front of the giant boat shaped building. No pressure to include it or anything, you already spend so long on these awesome videos!

BUILD IDEA: Adding a long dock along the shoreline with a tram to showcase the base from the ocean sounds like a great idea to me!
Got to say, this one looks really good. For some builds like Scar’s and Mumbo’s it seemed a bit like your styles somewhat clash, but in this build your style compliments her’s really well.
OMG!! I finally get to see Pearl's get revamped!!! I couldn't as I stepped up to be at work today, it's extremely rare for me to pick up a shift on Sunday, much more on Easter Sunday. I got paid though. Worth it!!!!
1) as its a fishing dock, maybe a fishing boat off a bit in the water, perhaps it has some crab pots strewn about in the water
2) despite being made of boats, or at least having a boat theme, it is still a castle. You should add something like an aqueduct (just to give an excuse to add a waterfall or two)
3) you could have used cherry blossom leaves instead of pink glass for the large trees, and it would look more natural and less like pink clouds just so happen to be stuck on the branches of a barren tree
I'm very excited for what you'll do for Mumbo's and Impulse's bases. There's also still a lot in this season and in Season 9, which you only did two of them ❤
You should also do cubs base since you tampered with it to expand pearls base
Pearl's base looks really cool. I think you could make a tunnel for the train tracks to go through the mountain you created so that the track looks less impossible for a train to ride on. You could made a curved or angled tunnel that cuts through some of the mountain.

For mumbos base, To maybe make it more connected with the ground, you could include some more statues / pillars or other structures in a style to the massive statue on the top. Things like water aquefers, would make it more 'aztec' themed (which I think fits in quite well), and would also increase the idea of "life" in the build. I'm sure youll make it look great. Excited for the next one!
For a little expansion on Pearl's mega base you should add a rocky break water(sand spit) that goes out in the ocean behind her mega base and maybe build a small light house at the end

I think waterlogging some stairs and making some small channels going throughout the fishing village could liven it up a bit and give it some more venice vibes which could add to the feel
Although the Megabase is looking beautiful, to make it more you can add a Torri gate to the entrance part. A huge Torri gate will do or the size you like.

You mentioned the pathways around Boatem a lot in all of the videos! Maybe they need a bit more transition in some areas? More coarse dirt to stone gradients, depending on the landscaping and such? Also, maybe a special/consistent lamp design that bring severything together? That way, the starter village is a little more cohesive?

You should add an area within the fishing village where they show off the fish they’ve caught. Such as fish, shark, or a big squid hanging from chains.
Omg I loved this transformation. Maybe you could change the portal with the boat on top of it. Not sure if pearl or Grian made it but it fits in with pearls boat theme.

Wow this base revamp might just be my favourite because I really like Pearl's style and I'm glad you were able to successfully imitate that style when adding to the build. One thing I noticed though is that you used froglights, which were released in 1.19 the wild update, which was released in June of 2022, while season 8 of hermitcraft ended in December of 2021. For the past few videos in boatem, I noticed you didn't use any blocks from 1.19 for anything so I assumed you were in 1.17 or 1.18 like the world was originally, so I was a little confused when you used the froglights in the cavern underneath Pearl's base. Great job otherwise though!
I really like the build! I think you should add more tiny pink/cherry trees on grians mountain and everywhere else so the whole mega base looks more cohesive!

• Add a secret tunnel from Pearl's Cavern into Grian's base, paying a homage to today's magic mountain's tunnels
It’s funny how for the big trees you used Birch wood as that’s one of Pearl’s least favourite blocks 😂😂😂😂
You should definitely do your own survival series after you have finished upgrading bases!
Add some kind of tunnel that travels through the whole mountain range, maybe giving Pearl and Mumbo access to the train station through their bases.
Shh don't let pearl know that her iconic door was changed out. Other than than that, the new village looks super cute, and the terraforming and the addition of the second building and trees to the mega base helped out a ton
Build idea : 2 llama statues guarding the entrance to pearls mega base (these would be similar to gargoyles)
I love this series so much, one of my favourites, and I look forward to each episode's release. You have a great building style and awesome creativity. I love the feel of that little village dock, I would definitely live there. I have a couple quick (maybe) ideas to add.
1) What if you made a Gondola Lift, like those in Banff, from Pearl's base, through the back tree, and to somewhere on Scar's. Like the market, for people that want to shop. Going from the Oriental style on Pearl's side, to the steam-punky style on Scar's side of the tree.
2) An update to the Llama falls with a splash, and a kind of secret tunnel from the cavern you made below her castle, to the lower llama falls would be cool.
This season built hits different ngl. Appreciate your effort and the results are amazing so far

You could probably add a dry dock that maybe could have some boats being disassembled for new roofs maybe?
Since pearls base was based off of lighthouses I feel like the extension could use more light, pearls original one had so much light on it and i think it will really make the extension pop more.

Not much of a suggestion, but when Cub's desert is worked on, maybe a dead/burned blossom tree bordering between the desert and Pearl's to show the desert biome is encroaching on her mountain base and vice versa?
Build Idea: Make the giant lamla statue look like it's walking out the waterfall with some lamlas on the back

I suggest making the train tracks more uniform (i.e. constant curvature) so that the train doesn't derail when travelling around Pearl's base
For Pearls base, add a few docks around the place to make it look more ocean themed. BTW love your work, keep it up!
I personally would love to see an invasion fleet of sorts from ren and doc in reminisce of the goat wars.
I do really like the trees, however I feel as though some orange-yellow autumn leaves would fit a lot better with the palette of her base than the pastel pink
On the theme of chains and boats, I think that an old massive anchor embedded into the mountain attached to the boat would look very cool, and add some history to the build
Amazing transformation as always Mr. Mango! I love how you went all in with the very boaty style that Pearl was going after this entire season, and just to stress the word boat in BOATem a bit better. Especially with the whole repurposed boats-as-rooves arstyle, damn is Pearl (And the other hermits whose bases you've transformed) so creative and damn you give all that creativity so much justice as well! The boat windmill is perhaps one of the most creative things I've seen done in Minecraft. An upright ship hull as a windmill with a steering wheel-sail blades? Dang.
The idea of a part of Pearl's gigantic lighthouse/castle thing being on top of a huge ship is also really cool, tying in the very marine style even tighter. Love how much inspired by Eastern architecture it turned out, as that motive can also be seen in the original. Phenomenal work, even though I do feel like a few of the walls turned out way too empty and the blossom tree at the front really covers the epic grand look of the castle.

I know it's just your accent, but when you said cool armor stands, I heard cool llama stands. Love all the work you've put in so far, though!!
I love what you've done to the style and nase itself but I think it would be niftier to see what could be done that's survival friendly since that's how it would have been built originally.
It would be so cool to add a bat(potato) cave behind the waterfall in mumbos :)

I know this has nothing to do with this season of HermitCraft but you should add a little nod to Grain's Barge Co. I think it would fit in around the dock that you made in this video. Just an idea but it would be awesome if you did it.
I absolutely love this series, keep up with this amazing work! The way you expanded the megabase while still making it look like Pearl made it was so cool, it felt like it was always there
I thought for a bit and have a few suggestions -
1. Make the spore blossoms travel in the same direction as the flag or vice versa for more realism
2. Make something of the Boatem Hole & Boatem Pole like a cult or sacrificial area and maybe add a Scar face there because of how many times he died in there
3. Make a HQ for Boatem where the members can have proper meetings together and plot against the Big Eye Crew, you could also do this in a separate area along with what I said in 2.
4. Llamas are a BIG part of Pearl's base so you could do a few things for them like a stable and a llama head?
5. You might or might not have but Interiors to the extensions to the Megabase?
Still a very awesome project by a very good builder, I'm looking forward to how you're gonna do Mumbo's base, Good luck!

Instead of cherry blossoms
You could do Acer palmatum, which is also known as Japanese maple.
That tree would probably fit Pearl's theme and colors better than a cherry blossom tree
Suggestion: can you try making the train tracks curve a little more smoothly using polished desolate stairs for the bends and anvils for the straight lines, it may make it feel more connected I love what your doing so far
For pearl i'd like to see some ship wreaks around the beach
You should add a chain connecting the base to Scar's mountain/cloud to bring it all together and embrace the Giga-Base
The only change I'd make is using Cherry Leaves instead of the pink glass. Otherwise, it looks incredible!

I love the transformations. I think it would be great if you went back to season 7. I feel like a lot of them didn't get the time to finish their builds. They're looking great though. You should join hermit craft.
For mumbo's base you should include a potato cave like the bat cave but for his character he created that season potaman
I think the blossom leaves are a bit too transparent at the moment. I think you should add some pink wool in there to make it look a bit nicer and heavier.

...To keep the comment clean, I decided to send my thoughts on this transformation as its own comment.
_BUT, as for a couple of suggestions I've had..._
1. I really hope you get around to expanding the boatem meeting room(s), it's easily the most iconic part of the whole gigabase. *Maybe even a goat or two hanging from the titular Boatem Pole,* as that was a thing that Grian did to taunt Doc and Ren :>
2. This one's pretty small and pedantic and I know you don't want to touch the hourglasses anymore, but the way Grian's head on the hourglass is FISHERMAN GRIAN (Can be seen *10:52* here) is a bit silly, that persona only came to be in Season 10.
3. A grand entrance to Boatem that connects it to the rest of the Continent and Cub's valley would be amazing.
4. Noo why did you move the Octagon spider pirate boat thingy away from Boatem! (I am talking about the one seen at *0:51* at the very right corner) It was always supposed to be a contribution to the Boatem area from the Octagon folks and without it the area feels neighborless. I really hope you bring it closer again.
