And Dominic Toretto makes a cross over cameo hitting Michael with his signature car then gets out with that wrench to finish him off without stopping like Tommy's mob did l😆l
I really ENJOYED Halloween Kills. As a superfan, I have no expectations for Halloween Ends. I think sometimes us as superfans are disappointed because we go in with our own set of expectations. The subplot in Kills was drawn out but I didn't hate it.
I thought halloween kills was straight garbage! The entire angry mob idea was nt the best to begin with. But they way they went about it was very weird. It was al.ost unwatchable
@@josephamoraz7990 the thing about the angry mob is that kind of thing could in fact happen. Groups of scared and angry people dont always make the best choices
For HALLOWEEN ENDS they should do something really special like a Michael/Jason crossover in which Jason arrives in Haddonfield hoping to hone in on Michael's hunting grounds. A HUGE twist comes when Michael and Jason get their masks mixed up after a tussle. As the body count rises, it's unclear which masked maniac is Michael and which one is Jason. For the answer to that question you'll have to see the sequel...
After Halloween Ends, they should make a Halloween movie that look exactly like the flash back scenes. That was the best Myers and environment I've seen since the original movie. 🙏🏾.
The subplot in kills doesn't bother me. "Fear is the mind killer" and makes people do nonsensical things. the towns people lost their minds to fear. I feel like that was the point they were going for.
I thought it was an enjoyable subplot, too. It wasn’t as “on the nose” as many claimed. It doesn’t matter what the writers do, someone from the horror community will bitch about it.
Everyone understand and agrees with the social messages and concept they were going for. It was just that it was poorly executed in almost every way in the film.
Honestly, I’m already concerned for Halloween Ends. After hearing David Gordon Green mention in an interview that they’re going to be adjusting the story to include covid and politics from the past few years, the next installment already isn’t sounding very solid. I don’t understand why the writers think the Halloween movies need to have this incessant social commentary aspect to them.
@@entelechy2020 sadly, I’m starting to believe that’s a huge aspect of what’s going on, especially since she has an Executive Producer credit on this trilogy 😩
With all the references to past movies, and how invincible Micheal is in Kills, I think they end it with chopping his head off again, then taking his mask off "just to be sure" as a wink to the fans.
It would be cool if it was a slightly altered version of the original ending for Halloween 2018. Michael gets shot with a crossbow and his breathing fades into nothing with the credits. It was supposed to kill him without actually showing him die
U know what would be a badass death that would ensure Myers is dead is shoving him into a wood chipper with the mask on and when u see the pieces coming out the ending shot is with the pieces of the Myers mask shredded into pieces covered in blood
I definitely agree about Allyson, she has way more to be pissed off about than Laurie and I think her character was intentionally made to be that way, let’s see if it really goes in that direction hopefully
I'd like to see what Michael would do if the Myers house is demolished. Maybe the people of Haddonfield, realizing all Michael wants is to go home, decide to destroy his home. Would he keep stalking Haddonfield, target a new town, become a drifter, or even allow himself to be captured or killed?
Your idea on Laurie having the realization that this has nothing to do with her is great because that would make sense for her to want to kill Michael even though she knows she has to give her life to end his. Reminds me of Loomis at the end of original Halloween 2
if you think about it.. even though it’s not mentioned in Halloween 2, maybe loomis thought if he killed himself he would kill Michael since he always said that Michael wasn’t human and was only evil..
Maybe the next Halloween timeline will have Danielle Harris as Jamie return wonder how that would be set up but anyway Halloween Kills Michael should die like H20 did where Laurie chopped Michael head clean off and I'm not talking about Ressurection.
Jamie never coming back she don't exist no more she's Laurie daughter and Jamie Lee Curtis don't like the character or Halloween 4-6 with Jamie I remember Danielle Harris wanted to be apart of Halloween 2018 and Jamie Lee Curtis declined.
And sadly, that’s going to happen. They’re adjusting the script to that into the movie. It was originally supposed to take place on the same night as the first two, but this will take place 4 years later and include political bullshit and covid
They’ve already said Ends will deal with the pandemic and secular politics. But it’s not going to be in your face, it’ll be done in a nuanced way. It’ll be subtle. Politics is in everything, when people say they don’t want politics in something they mean politics they don’t agree with. You don’t want your views challenged
It just needs a definitive end to Michael. The more this drags out the more silly it'll get lol. As fun as the movies are I just feel we need at least one timeline where he dies.
Facts. Nothing wrong with multiple timelines. However Michael has never died. Except in Rob Zombies Halloween 2 and that's debatable because he was gonna do a Halloween 3.
@@TheShape. Preach! All movies since are steaming piles of horseshit. Friday the 13th was a copy of Halloween, but Halloween has been copying Friday the 13th since H4.
The way he moves is why I think this is the best Michael we have gotten. Even better than 2018’s. The guy in the kitchen with every knife added in his back, everything. He was the creepiest. He conveyed fear most. This movie didn’t scare me, but the intensity he brought did. I agree about Laurie finding out that it’s circumstantial. When someone in a car relies on their weapon and the weapon fails them? Yeah, the way he leans in and stabs her is terrifying.
One of the worst michaels, he was like a brute and not like the original who was like a ninja and always stayed in the shadows, this ones a savage but not like the original one we saw in 1978
I still loved that his childhood home was bought by Big John and Little John, literally my favorite casting of 2 characters that don’t offer any drive to the story at all. Each of their scenes were Perfect
I still think everything taking place on the same night would have been awesome because in H18 laurie was determined to kill and after what happen in Halloween kills it would have given her a great arc and motive in ends
Halloween Ends will still take place 4 years later. We will just see the alternate ending that was supposed to be the main ending when Ends was also gonna be the same night until they changed it
So what's Michael Myers going to be doing for four years. The town of Haddonfield has failed to kill him for good this Halloween Ends is gonna turn out to be another Freddy's Dead.
Oh shit here we go!!! Cody haven’t even watched the video yet but know whatever you cook up will probably be better than what they give us. Much love Cody! Hope your day is relaxed and chill!
I love this setting for videos! The background looks cool and you can tell that you are more comfortable and are enjoying making the video more. Can't wait to see more
I think it would be awesome to see a film or series bringing in Tom Jones JR even if it’s hbo max series but a film/series from the events of 1963 up til 78 seeing dr loomis interacting with Michael from age 6 til his escape
JJC is SO the definitive Michael Myers. I agree, enough of Laurie. He's an indiscriminate killer. A 6 year old in a man's body with the mind if an animal...or predator! I loved that Green ditched the sibling twist. It's like he's trying to bring Michael to the forefront of HIS FRANCHISE!! I LOVE HIS TAKE SO FAR. Here's to hoping ENDS lives up to a proper final chapter.
I want a well made, cohesive movie with a strong story, great action and great characters without any subplots. A nice marriage of Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills.
Something I'd really like to see is Allyson destroy the Myers house. After the way they built up even more the connection between Michael and the house, Allyson should raze it to the ground.
I genuinely like the reveal "the new Loomis" intentionally released Michael. It caught me off-guard, explains how Michael escaped and it allowed for another character to murder in the series without taking over as Michael (which would be an awful way to go IMO.)
I’d only seen the original once some 8 or so years ago, and recently I wanted a bunch of these because I happened to see Kills in theaters. I think the Sartain twist near the end of 2018 is really fantastic. I already knew it going in, and I knew people weren’t fond, but I honestly don’t see why. It keeps his character from just being Lumis, and it allows his character to constantly be creating opportunities for and enabling Michael. Please someone explain what’s bad about it, because it didn’t kill the pacing and it just adds an extra layer of dread to those last few scenes with him
I wouldn't mind having 2-3 'optional' endings to the film. Maybe one where Laurie 'wins' and Michael is definitively killed. One that is more ambiguous. Then one where "Evil Never Dies" and Michael is the ultimate victory...the 'dark ending'....then on the 4K disc fans can choose whatever ending they want.
I might be on an island, but I wouldn't mind seeing Allyson go a bit crazy in Ends. After everything that happened in 2018 and Kills, who wouldn't go insane from what her character went through, more so than even Laurie? As for thinks I don't want to see, I completely agree with the unnecessary subplots. Sartain being crazy in 2018 is stupid as shit, the one in Kills would've been okay if they went with a different actor for the mental patient, and now I'm hearing that Ends will tackle COVID. No thanks.
Believe it or not, plenty of people endure trauma and don't go crazy. I've always hated this "crazy Laurie" stuff. Of course an event like that will be with you till you die but it doesn't have to ruin your life. They did nut job Laurie in H20, can't we have had a version of Laurie who dealt with it and got on with her life, the Laurie I saw in the original would rise above.
I'm thinking that Laurie, Hawkins, and Allyson are going to be the three that take on Michael in Ends. Other characters like Lindsey and Sheriff Barker I think could have major roles too but they won't be the main focus.
Sheriff Barker might as well quit after the terrible job he did in both films. In 2018 when he heard Michael had escaped the bus he didn't tell anyone because he didn't want to cause a panic but doing that caused exactly what he tried to avoid. Then he forced Hawkins to take Sartain with him to look for Michael and thought Sartain knew Michael better than anyone when he knew nothing about him. And even though Barker couldn't have known Sartain was a loony he's still partly responsible for Sartain nearly killing Hawkins. He also did nothing after the mob made the mental patient kill himself and just sat on the hospital stairs feeling guilty.
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 The only good Haddonfield cops are Meeker in the 4-6 continuity and Hawkins in the current one. Brackett was useless in 1 and 2 since he kept accusing Loomis of letting Michael out even though he didn't, there were Halloween 5's stupid clown cops who probably only got jobs because Meeker hired literally anyone after Michael killed the entire force except him in 4. And you only really see the sheriff that replaces Meeker in Halloween 6 in the producer's cut where he wants to believe Michael's dead and thinks Loomis is just making trouble by saying he's alive.
The shakesphere part of the movie is really what helped the movie in my opinion. It feels more real, and I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much without it.
The more I think about a “time jump” for the next movie. The least it makes sense. Almost feels like an excuse to get themselves away from the problems of the first two movies. Time jump can equal a reason to avoid certain subplots and story moments. But who knows that’s just me.
For me, I want to see genuine dread in Halloween Ends. Nix the forced humor, it undercuts all tension. And yes, definitely more James Jude Courtney - the scene in the kitchen where he’s testing the knives on his victim was so sadistic. Seriously the best best Michael Myers since the original two o.g.’s. Also…. can we please get back to the first person perspectives during the stalking scenes? I miss those. 🎃🔪
We got a little first person as Michael but that was only for that last kill if I remember correctly lmao that would be dope to see again for the stalking scenes though
It's actually pretty hilarious watching this video now. "I want Michael to be vicious and brutal all the way through to the end of this franchise. There's no reason to ramp him up in Part 2 and then subdue him back down in Part 3." "I don't want any diatracting subplots. Not for a final movie." It's like McBride and DGG watched your video, looked at each other, and said "F--k this guy. Let's do the exact opposite."
Ultimately I just want a satisfying ending however it is, wether the shape is ultimately slain or he wins and just destroys the town or whatever, just something. Wrap up everyone's characters, no cliffhanger bullshit, just end the story definitively and in a satisfying climax. I'd love to see one epic final battle with the shape in the final act with Allyson, Lindsey, and I would say Tommy Doyle but for some reason they decided to kill him? Anyways...build to that the whole movie. Maybe even have Laurie die and have Allyson take over and look for revenge for her mother's death. I liked the hospital plot with the mental patient in Kills, but I agree. This final movie needs to be focused on the main plot from beginning to end. This is it, the final chapter of the story. Go out on top with everything firing on all cylinders with this story.
Honestly, I can accept Michael living...or the hint of him surviving, like perfectly replicating the ending of the original film. However, I do think that Laurie's story should end with her dying to save her granddaughter, giving her life to defeat Michael and save her family. But not without the promise that comes with at least ONE character reminding the audience that "Evil Never Dies"
The 4 year time skip definitely has me worried. I find it hard to believe Laurie and Addyson would just give up after realizing Karen's dead. And what of Micahel? Did he get caught again or is he just gonna chill at his window for 4 years?? I love 2018 and Kills, but man I hope they nail this landing.
honestly what if, knowing what they know now and how immortal (or supernatural) michael is the town is evacuated and abandoned as they realize that as long as michael has his house he is not a threat as thats where he wants to be. Theres a perimeter set up, and hes basically monitored. Lets be honest with the amount of kills he has he is basically a god now. laurie even mentions the more he kills the more he ascends. seems silly i know, but also kinda plausible?? idk haha
I guess I'm in the minority here, but aside from a few parts of cheesy dialogue I thought the movie was amazing. The flashback for me truly captured that '78 vibe, and I loved Big and Little John.
A satisfying ending to this trilogy please don’t end Halloween ends on a cliffhanger this has to be it for Laurie Strode and Michael Myers story from 78
I'm expecting any surviving characters from Kills to be killed off in Ends and hopefully not in any dumb way. I'm expecting Officer Hawkins to almost have Michael killed and the fans feel like he might actually get Michael but fails and gets killed. I'm expecting Lindsay Wallas to sacrifice herself to help Laurie which leads Michael and Laurie to kill each other in the final act. I expect Allison to become a strong focus along side Laurie and be the only survivor that we should care about.
I'm interested in how Laurie will carry over into ends. Will she be there for Allyson or will she continue to make this about her? Because let's face it, Allyson's PTSD is bound to challenge Laurie's and their relationship itself.
I'd like to see an answer to how Michael came back from the dead after the mob beat him, shot him and Karen stabbed him below the back of his neck. 2018 kept it somewhat realistic by having him shot in non life threatening areas and then a shotgun blowing some fingers off. How he survived the fire was plausible at least. Is there a connection with the mask making him "Evil" and giving him strength? Could the makers go into a different direction and link his strength to the mask and have some connection to Halloween 3 (1983) with the masks. After all, we did get those masks worn by the 3 kids in KILLS looking like the ones used in that movie. Would certainly open up more directions for the franchise to go in after ENDS.
The supernatural nod at the end of 'Kills above everything else man. How the hell can a normal human being live through all those pitchfork stabbings, knife stabbings, bullet wounds, beatings etc! That...needs...addressing.
13:51 This has to be true because the let get em up stuff was so annoying in Kills… if that’s still true, they just can’t cliff hang us, Micheal or Laurie must die or something lol
My hope is they’ll reveal Michael was wearing a bulletproof vest… or freaking mithril or something. Or, the reveal that he’s straight up not human. There needs to be a reason he was able to just get up and kill that whole group after everything he was hit with.
I think you’re mistaken about Michael not caring about Laurie. This was an IDEA proposed in the film but we shouldn’t take it as 100% true. I think the movie makes it clear that Michael’s focus is >not< Laurie but they he does have a bone to pick with her. They are connected and Halloween Ends has to be about ending that connection more than anything. Allyson can be more of a role but the story is about Laurie and Michael 100%
I see it as Laurie or Allison leading Michael into like a time lock safe that is set to never open and whoever is left dies and Michael is trapped forever.
Laurie did mention that no mortal weapon can kill it, so with that, I think even cutting his head off wouldn't work, so I really hope they end it for good.. I just don't know how they can
allyson and laurie are far too injured to fight michael though, i feel like a time jump would be best. also, i think the opening scene (hopefully) will show allyson and laurie finding out about karen’s death, and then the time-jump to 4 years later will happen.
Cody I like this format too You’re absolutely on point. We see eye to eye regarding how this franchise should end. PS I’m a Halloween H20 defender too!
Great video man I agree with you with the criticism of HK and what you want in ends I like Halloween kills but it’s definitely DEFINITELY flawed. Happy Halloween 🎃
I don't agree with Alison having more motive to go after Michael than Laurie, I think they're even. Yes she lost her mom/dad/boyfriend but Michael literally went after Laurie years ago, killed her friends, stalked/traumatized her, and was basically the reason she had a strained relationship with Karen, killed her daughter, and is a threat to her granddaughter. They both need to be the end of Michael.
Halloween Ends Laurie & Allyson go to Camp Crystal Lake to recover from there ordeal, however unbeknownst to them Jason Voorhees lurks watching, waiting. Michael shows up the two legendary slasher fight fatality wound each other, Laurie beheaded Michael & Allyson beheaded Jason . They live happily ever after The End.
I want Halloween Ends to have an epic fight, one that rivals H20. Michael really needs to have his ass handed to him by Laurie and finished off by Allyson. Whether Michael lives or dies, this has gotta be an explosive ending for him or Laurie.
One interesting element that they can include in the story if Michael dies is, while he's dying, he finally speaks. This would be an interesting way to tie it back to 2018 where Michael not speaking was a big part of it, and it may make this death more meaningful and impactful considering Michael has already died many times.
What I would like to see in "Halloween Ends" is the return of Judith Myers. I would like to see the film begin with a flashback from 1963 that picks up right where we left off with kid Michael standing outside the house holding the knife with his parents watching him. Flashback: The police and ambulance arrive on the scene. They take Michael into custody while his parents are questioned. While this is going on, paramedics rush into the house and retrieve Judith's body, put her in the ambulance, and rush her to the hospital. When they arrive at the hospital, we learn that Judith is barely clinging to life. Later, we learn that she makes a full recovery. Once she is fully recovered, she is placed into hideing by the FBI for her own protection under an assumed name ar an undisclosed location. Her death is faked. Second Flashback: Michael's escape from Smith's Grove in 1978. We learn the reason why Michael escaped is because he found out that his sister Judirh was still alive. His true intention in the original Halloween was that he was looking for Judith, not Laurie. Finally, Judith comes out of hideing and meets up with Laurie and the others in ENDS, after she learns of the carnage in KILLS and 2018. Judith is the only one who knows how to bring an end to Michael Myers once and for all.
it sounds amazing tbh but i think for us to really get hyped for this battle we need a lot of character development for Judith and I don't think some flashbacks would satisfy the audiance maybe if there were flashbacks with her and more story bout her in h18 or kills it could work way better but i think the one who needs to face Michael is allyson she went through the most and i actualy really liked her character i believe she will have a great development in ends in h18 and kills we can see her as an helpless weak young teenager but yet she is still brave and she has a motive i believe if we will see her grow and be more developed in ends she would be the perfect character to face Michael, nobody has more motive and went through more pain by Michael than her he literally killed both of her parents, her friends and her boyfriend and Michael really wanted to hurt Allyson mentally as much as physicaly for exemple if you look at the scene in the Myers's house where Michael completely destroy Allyson and her bf at one point he destroyed her bf so much to a point he was still breathing but there was no chance he would have survived, after Michael broke Allyson's leg and she had no chance of surviving him even if she tried getting away she couldn't cus her leg was broken so Michael would have got her either way, he went down the stairs towards her and then he went back up just to finish Cameron infront of her eyes he didnt hurt her only physically he destroyed her mentally, in her finale moments he wanted her to suffer as much as she could so I think she will be the most perfect character to take out Michael, i think what should happen is that Michael kills Laurie and then Allyson kills Michael and then she leaves haddonfield and leaves everything behind, i think the Judith myers idea would be amazing but it needs to have its own timeline
Not saying I want it for Halloween Ends. But I would like to see a new trilogy that goes through the original timeline and combined it with season of the witch. Where you have Michael being controlled by the cult of thorn and maybe the leader had a kid that was killed by a shamrock mask and they use Michael to try and kill the mask maker from season of the witch
Michael grows a conscious and feels bad so he starts a simple life in the woods righting his wrongs and sells curtains for a living......wait... that was the last terminator movie
I'm a little concerned as far as what's going to happen in Halloween Ends. There's all kinds of minor concerns I have. I didn't like 2018 except for a couple scenes, I personally like Kills a lot, but I feel like it's going to take a dip down with this third one coming up. I think they should end Halloween in general after this movie. Even with characters I love like Michael Myers, there comes a point where too many movies will definitely start to be a big negative no matter how hard anyone tries to make improvements in a franchise.
I’d like to see more of the creepy atmosphere that the original had. Some of the kills in the most recent movies were cool and all but I feel like that’s the modernity of horror movies now. I definitely agree that the subplots need to be cut out. Also I’m thinking that Karen could possibly still be alive and will return as Hawkins did as they did not entirely show her death on screen
I'm an OG fan, saw the 78 film in 78 when I was 12. Was a HUGE fan of the definitive end of the 81 H2 and loved Season of the Witch. Everything after Season of the Witch I have tolerated, but none have come close to those first three. I really hope we get a definitive end here and that they go on with the idea of the anthology approach and wait about a decade before they go back to the Michael character, cause you know they will, just give it a damn rest before you do.
Nah that would be a terrible ending. One of them has to die. If they bring back Karen in Halloween Ends that will ruin it. In order to sustain the emotional connection to the fans, one of the main characters need to die off. If they both somehow kill Michael, that would ruin the movie
I think the four year time jump is interesting but they better not have Michael be hidden in his childhood home for four years straight and then all of a sudden, he just shows up out of nowhere.
As stupid as it sounds Cody. We might need a Halloween theme ranking. You've done Halloween to death but... You'll get views if you do that. I would watch.
Or do like a Top Favorite Tracks list. Like my top 3 tracks are: 1. OG Halloween Theme - Halloween 1978 2. The Shape Hunts Allyson - Halloween 2018 3. Unkillable - Halloween Kills Soundtrack
the time jump makes sense, 1. both halloween & Kills took place in the same day/night 2. it allows a subtle man hunt for M.Myers as well time that he heals since he’s not superhuman as well as resurface given all he goes thru in both the first two films of the trilogy. 3. it also builds drive for the daughter/granddaughter to become more enraged like laurie strode it’ll give her character that much more motivation to want to seek put Myers vs run from or be weak in terms of a faceoff. 4. in real time we didnt get Kills on the reg schedule time frame it was suppose to be release so I think it make sense to time skip a bit to re-invent motives and drive for both strodes and Myers. 5. Halloween ends will hopefully unveil the magnetism Myers has with his child hood home, possibly the motivation to his silence and the mind of his menace….
But Laurie is hurt .. lol she can’t run away and slash and fight mike like he’s a regular guy ….. he’s literally like they said “APEX PREDATOR” he would’ve took her out very easily.
@@lashaunnelson3801 Exactly. One of my favorite things about Kills was that Laurie tried to go fight, but started bleeding and had to stay behind. It was waaayyy more believable.
Really enjoyed your discussion on this topic Cody. The biggest thing for me is to please keep current events from entering the story of the movie instead just make a movie!

With some of the choices made in H Kills, my expectations are low. There's a probability that it can be good but after H Kills, that dwindles. I have no idea how you can follow Halloween Kills. David said, that a time lap will bring it to modern time, making Halloween Kills even more useless. Rarely can a sequel be great, imagine a third one. It's just how it is. If Halloween End's turns out good, they have truly achieved something rare. Assuming they continue to make these baffling writing choices, the movie won't deliver.
The 4 year jump is to make it contemporary & allow the main characters to heal bc they're both damaged rn. Green was talking ab it in an interview sounds pretty awesome! And loved the video!
One of my biggest problems with this trilogy thus far is that I'm unconvinced that what happend to Laurie in 1978 would affect her this profoundly. Granted, I've never gone through anything like that, and it would definitely mess with you, but I think it is just really stretching it that a single night like that can screw up a person's life and relationships to this degree. In H20, it was sold a lot better. Laurie was believable as a character. Here, I just don't buy her.
Unless it’s meaningful and elevates the franchise much more, creating new characters we can follow and root for.. I don’t want it to continue loll. The only reason this franchise still exists because they still can and make a lot of money from it.
@@07foxmulder loll yes that’s the whole reason for another trilogy they have for Halloween now. 12:50 Loomis talking about Michael's evil made sense because he was the first person to see Michael for the monster he was because he'd been his patient for 15 years and depending on the continuity spent further years trying to kill him. In the 4-6 continuity he dealt with Michael for 32 years from 1963 to 1995, in the H20 continuity after Michael survived the Halloween II fire he kept track of his movements until he died at some point before 1998. And in this continuity Loomis begged for Michael's execution a year after the original after Hawkins stopped him killing Michael. He was obsessed with stopping him. Whereas Laurie who up until Michael killed her friends and tried to kill her was just a normal high school girl who babysat from time to time for a bit of money and was too shy to ask her crush Ben Tramer out. So her making big grand speeches about evil's nature doesn't make sense.
I heard that they were planning to incorporate the pandemic in Ends. Maybe it could work though. Maybe they make Haddonfield a dying town not only because of the pandemic but also because of the fear of Michael Myers and not knowing when he’ll strike again.

Yeah, people ruin so many movies for themselves by being a little b**ch
@@mistwoodpublishing9963 yeah, like I can almost guarantee the dude in the video is gonna be bitching next year lol

Execution was the issue
I thought it was an enjoyable subplot, too. It wasn’t as “on the nose” as many claimed. It doesn’t matter what the writers do, someone from the horror community will bitch about it.
Yeah I enjoyed it. I felt it was both a cool subplot and not overbearing at all.
It was okay, it's just that they somehow mistaken Danny Devito for Michael Myers.
I really hope they reconsider and don’t include any of that into the story, has no need to be there.

@@chrishansen9731 yeah um about that...
With all the references to past movies, and how invincible Micheal is in Kills, I think they end it with chopping his head off again, then taking his mask off "just to be sure" as a wink to the fans.
like in halloween h20.
At this point that'd be the only route to go. Can't finish him off in a way that leaves his body fully intact. Gotta remove that mask and CHOP!
@@Noah20340 I think people would want a more concrete death for either him or Laurie, or both.

Yeah Laurie got off lightly compared to Alyson
Yesss
I want a scene with Alyson and the kid Julian from the first movie
I thought kills was fun but for Halloween ends I would like a more contained story driven movie. Let's see what happens 👍
Yep
Yeah about that...
I thought this too! Like would he go on a rampage or just Give up
@@carrapool9421 It could be bleak, but pretty interesting.
That’s a really good idea!
Thought about this same concept earlier today randomly!
I feel like the house & the mask are cursed as well. I wonder if they were to destroy both Michael would become weak & killable

I hope they do something better with Sheriff Barker, maybe give him a badass scene so he doesn’t go through 3 films as a completely useless character

Barker is the black sheriff with the cowboy hat!
I think we definitely need a fantastic showdown with Michael and Laurie as well as more SUSPENSE! Halloween Kills was lacking suspense
The girl I was watching the movie with greatly disagrees with u lmao 💀
Wow. U sound just like Danny McBride 😳
He really does
Low key looks kinda like him too
Oh shit! You're right! He does sound like Kenny Fuckin Powers
Omg he does!
The off brand version! 😂
Please someone explain what’s bad about it, because it didn’t kill the pacing and it just adds an extra layer of dread to those last few scenes with him
DUDE. i agree
No thanks.
Sartain being crazy led to the best kill in that movie tho, I think it was worth it for that
Believe it or not, plenty of people endure trauma and don't go crazy.
I personally don’t like how they always feel they need to kill him off at the end, just let him get away like in the original damnit
That’ll set up the sequel Halloween: Continues
Well, they were never allowed legally to kill him. So it kind of forced their hand. Akkad always made sure of that.
He died in the original Halloween 2 but fans bitched enough because of 3 they brought him back for 4.

I'm from the future, "No distracting subplots" became the entire movie unfortunately
The full time content has been killer. 🤘
@@Xehanort10 Yeah Barker is a pretty shitty character, I think he could be killed off in Ends.
James Jude Courtney takes the W for me too. He's unquestionably the most engaging, compelling, brutal Michael Myers.
I agree with all of that. Dread, fear, dark clouds on the horizon, sundown, you know...Halloween! Why is this so difficult?
It's actually pretty hilarious watching this video now.
"I want Michael to be vicious and brutal all the way through to the end of this franchise. There's no reason to ramp him up in Part 2 and then subdue him back down in Part 3."
"I don't want any diatracting subplots. Not for a final movie."
It's like McBride and DGG watched your video, looked at each other, and said "F--k this guy. Let's do the exact opposite."
No shit lol
I love 2018 and Kills, but man I hope they nail this landing.
exactly especially that there is 3 halloweens between kills and ends…
honestly what if, knowing what they know now and how immortal (or supernatural) michael is the town is evacuated and abandoned as they realize that as long as michael has his house he is not a threat as thats where he wants to be. Theres a perimeter set up, and hes basically monitored. Lets be honest with the amount of kills he has he is basically a god now. laurie even mentions the more he kills the more he ascends. seems silly i know, but also kinda plausible?? idk haha
@@R3VELAT1ON that is actually a great idea
I guess I'm in the minority here, but aside from a few parts of cheesy dialogue I thought the movie was amazing. The flashback for me truly captured that '78 vibe, and I loved Big and Little John.
I like everything u have said in this video.
And every point u have made about all characters is spot on for me and same point of view.
Found your channel just now. Dug it. Keep up the good work
I'd like to see an answer to how Michael came back from the dead after the mob beat him, shot him and Karen stabbed him below the back of his neck.
I would be so down for this
halloween 2018 and halloween kills 2021 are a different timeline

13:51 This has to be true because the let get em up stuff was so annoying in Kills… if that’s still true, they just can’t cliff hang us, Micheal or Laurie must die or something lol
My hope is they’ll reveal Michael was wearing a bulletproof vest… or freaking mithril or something. Or, the reveal that he’s straight up not human. There needs to be a reason he was able to just get up and kill that whole group after everything he was hit with.

What I want is for it to be good and not mediocre
Laurie did mention that no mortal weapon can kill it, so with that, I think even cutting his head off wouldn't work, so I really hope they end it for good.. I just don't know how they can
The way kills ends I feel like it has to pick up from that night. He just killed Allison's mother and we're just gonna jump 4 years from that ?
allyson and laurie are far too injured to fight michael though, i feel like a time jump would be best. also, i think the opening scene (hopefully) will show allyson and laurie finding out about karen’s death, and then the time-jump to 4 years later will happen.

I fill there dead even in terms of motivation
Yea what would really be satisfying is to watch a geriatric woman thrash an extremely menacing monster great take and wouldn't be terrible at all

@@dkblue941 What can they do with a twist? Say Michael's a twin? Make Laurie his sister AGAIN?
One interesting element that they can include in the story if Michael dies is, while he's dying, he finally speaks. This would be an interesting way to tie it back to 2018 where Michael not speaking was a big part of it, and it may make this death more meaningful and impactful considering Michael has already died many times.
What I would like to see in "Halloween Ends" is the return of Judith Myers.
I would like to see the film begin with a flashback from 1963 that picks up right where we left off with kid Michael standing outside the house holding the knife with his parents watching him.
Flashback:
The police and ambulance arrive on the scene.
Second Flashback:
Michael's escape from Smith's Grove in 1978.
I actually like that tbh
it sounds amazing tbh but i think for us to really get hyped for this battle we need a lot of character development for Judith and I don't think some flashbacks would satisfy the audiance maybe if there were flashbacks with her and more story bout her in h18 or kills it could work way better but i think the one who needs to face Michael is allyson she went through the most and i actualy really liked her character i believe she will have a great development in ends in h18 and kills we can see her as an helpless weak young teenager but yet she is still brave and she has a motive i believe if we will see her grow and be more developed in ends she would be the perfect character to face Michael, nobody has more motive and went through more pain by Michael than her he literally killed both of her parents, her friends and her boyfriend and Michael really wanted to hurt Allyson mentally as much as physicaly for exemple if you look at the scene in the Myers's house where Michael completely destroy Allyson and her bf at one point he destroyed her bf so much to a point he was still breathing but there was no chance he would have survived, after Michael broke Allyson's leg and she had no chance of surviving him even if she tried getting away she couldn't cus her leg was broken so Michael would have got her either way, he went down the stairs towards her and then he went back up just to finish Cameron infront of her eyes he didnt hurt her only physically he destroyed her mentally, in her finale moments he wanted her to suffer as much as she could so I think she will be the most perfect character to take out Michael,
i think what should happen is that Michael kills Laurie and then Allyson kills Michael and then she leaves haddonfield and leaves everything behind, i think the Judith myers idea would be amazing but it needs to have its own timeline
I think that Laurie is going to spend the time during the time jump, training Allison like she trained Karen. And they take him out together.
Nah that would be a terrible ending. One of them has to die. If they bring back Karen in Halloween Ends that will ruin it. In order to sustain the emotional connection to the fans, one of the main characters need to die off. If they both somehow kill Michael, that would ruin the movie
Yep. That survivor house she built over decades will be a smaller property but totally secure in the 4 year time jump.

Karen is dead they aren't going to bring her back
When Michael and JLC come face too face watch michael finally say something!!!! The moment we’ve all been waiting for
Watch them already have Halloween 4: Halloween Returns in talks, Or the Return of Halloween🤣
I think the four year time jump is interesting but they better not have Michael be hidden in his childhood home for four years straight and then all of a sudden, he just shows up out of nowhere.
that's the only thing im worried about with the time jump. like in h20 Michael just magically appears after being burned alive twenty years ago
As stupid as it sounds Cody. We might need a Halloween theme ranking. You've done Halloween to death but... You'll get views if you do that. I would watch.
Or do like a Top Favorite Tracks list. Like my top 3 tracks are:
1. OG Halloween Theme - Halloween 1978
2. The Shape Hunts Allyson - Halloween 2018
3. Unkillable - Halloween Kills Soundtrack
And no your idea about theme ranking is not stupid. The music in this series deserves its own video I feel.
Agreed
the time jump makes sense, 1. both halloween & Kills took place in the same day/night 2. it allows a subtle man hunt for M.Myers as well time that he heals since he’s not superhuman as well as resurface given all he goes thru in both the first two films of the trilogy. 3. it also builds drive for the daughter/granddaughter to become more enraged like laurie strode it’ll give her character that much more motivation to want to seek put Myers vs run from or be weak in terms of a faceoff. 4. in real time we didnt get Kills on the reg schedule time frame it was suppose to be release so I think it make sense to time skip a bit to re-invent motives and drive for both strodes and Myers. 5. Halloween ends will hopefully unveil the magnetism Myers has with his child hood home, possibly the motivation to his silence and the mind of his menace….
I'm really nervous they're gonna cut this trilogy off at the knees. This time jump is stupid since the story is obviously set up to be one night.
Laurie's injuries don't mean anything, this is a frikkin horror movie. Heroes bounce back all the time in horror movies.
You articulated my thoughts perfectly. Thank you!
Really enjoyed your discussion on this topic Cody. The biggest thing for me is to please keep current events from entering the story of the movie instead just make a movie!
You’re gonna have to get over that. We KNOW Covid is going to be (In some way) in Ends.
Make your peace with it now
@@ozdeveraux2082 Why? Do you ever ask yourself that why? I mean that in a friendly way It is not necessary just make a movie Michael Myers is not about COVID-19 what? I am gonna stick with the original that is where the pure heart is.
@@IKCS1 until we see how it’s used why be upset about it?
My guess is that because of Covid Laurie isn’t able to go after Michael. But in that time she lives with Allyson and trains her and starts to realize the horrible life she gave Karen.
So if that’s how Covid is introduced, what’s the problem?
@@IKCS1 also the original is 40 years old. Times change. You can’t keep expecting a formula that worked in 1978 to work in 2023. it’s two completely different world. We have to learn how to appreciate nostalgia but not let it dictate what we do in the here and now
@@ozdeveraux2082 All I can say is I do not subscribe to the programming.
Love these type of videos! Keep 'em coming!
I really enjoyed kills though and hope they keep some themes in ends from it
@@randomguyontheinternet8345 Michaels ruthlessness are the best parts of the movie.
Great video man! I don’t wanna hear the word pandemic in “Ends”, no characters wearing masks , the only mask I wanna see in “Ends” is Michael’s.
I go to slasher movies for characters and story and slasher.
Another great video. Always like hearing your perspective on horror movies.
The more relaxed format is great 👍.
Evil flies the kite
I can't fucking wait to watch this before bed!!! You killing it Cody, giving Chris Stuckmann and James A. Janisse a run for their money!!!!
Cody is the best !! That’s not a knock on Chris or Jeremy, luv them both
Unless it’s meaningful and elevates the franchise much more, creating new characters we can follow and root for.. I don’t want it to continue loll. The only reason this franchise still exists because they still can and make a lot of money from it.
So you’re telling me that Hollywood will only push out films that they believe will make them money? Are you serious? Do you have a podcast?
@@07foxmulder loll yes that’s the whole reason for another trilogy they have for Halloween now. Why do you think Scream, Paranormal Activity, Lost Boys, And I Know What You Did Last Summer Is Coming back❓ Because They Have Zero Ideas 💡 left to think of. No films have been different in HollyUnoriginal Over The Past 10 to 20 years. It’s over for them. I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic but If you really are serious.. I have a cinema channel as well that speaks on these topics. It’s called CinemaIsArt
Very well said, these are my thoughts as well. I just really and I mean REALLY hope that there isn't any political or pandemic talk in the next film.
I heard that they were planning to incorporate the pandemic in Ends. Maybe it could work though. Maybe they make Haddonfield a dying town not only because of the pandemic but also because of the fear of Michael Myers and not knowing when he’ll strike again.
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 Whether it could work or not I don't feel that it has a place in these films. To each their own of course but that's just how I feel. I've seen a lot of others feel the same way as well.
@@CJSeverus93 Yeah I definitely agree but unfortunately it's the only reason why Jamie Lee Curtis is on board so they have to put in stuff that expresses her political viewpoint.
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 At one point I followed politics a lot, more than I should have. But since then I've distanced myself from following any of it and will keep hoping that there isn't any political BS in the next film not only because of it but because Halloween and F13 are my favorite horror franchises. I don't want to see that crap infiltrate something I love.
I wasn't too big on the 2018 film for a while but I actually enjoyed Kills and it cleared up some of the problems I had with the previous film. I would much prefer if they didn't mess up now though I suppose whether or not they messed up depends on how one feels about Kills.
Relaxed Cody >>>
I would love if Michael was unmasked and was “the skull” from season of the witch. But an actual skull
After the beating he just took that very well be the case lol
