*Mac's and yes, counter can be used, however if not used at the right height and properly, it generally kills you more than it saves you.
Now we need a m2k analysis on this to see if this is God tier or not

Well it is going to be used on people recovering, so they will most likely D.I. in. And some fast falling characters are common high tiers like Ryu.
Torrent Ryu is a high tier but he isn't a fastfaller

landed this on a mac and started training cloud after the out for blood episode, then went to a tournament. over half of the 40 people there were playing cloud and i just stuck to my zss lol

This is...surprisingly useful. Like, it's obviously not guaranteed, but a TON of people are going to hold in when you go for an offstage attack to try and stay near the ledge. Good shit!

I like using cloud but usually as a for fun character. He's not too hard to get around once you figure him out

You can avoid it by di'ing away from Cloud after he uses Cross Slash and saving your jump.
Cloud is my kind of top tier character.
I don't feel like I need to learn his combos to be good.
Instead, I can rely on his broken hitboxes and kill potential.
Then the people you're playing against must be terrible to be losing to you.
the you play against bad people and youre also pretty bad if you don't use cloud juggling ability

Many people are saying how easy it is to escape this when in reality it's actually a really good mixup. Generally when people get launched towards the blast zone they are going to DI in, not outwards. If you condition your opponent to always DI in after getting successful cross slashes off stage, then you are most likely able to get this setup.

This is like my marth off stage strat of side b into Dair. The sickest combo finisher of all time
theres also fully charged focus attack to footstool offstage with ryu that works for me alot but you have to be slightly above them for it to work and u have to cancel out of focus quickly
I have a suggestion. Yoshi's grab release after pummeling to down-B is a really good tech, but can be avoided. If they don't know about it, they will most likely get hit by it. If they know, you could try to read their escape option.

If you are ganon at the edge of the stage, f tilt then immediately down b to get you to their position then footstool. This works against heavier characters like ganon at 62 no rage
I still can't believe people didn't know this before Alpharad showed it....
The setup can also be used to set up a suicide Climhazzard, which should cover the DI out option. Of course, that should only be used if you have the lead

Fox's Shine Fair Footstool:
Run up to the other person, shine them off the stage, drag them down with Fair and mash jump for a possible footstool. Fox usually survives even without a footstool! The people who are quick enough to jump after sliding off the stage just need to be shined again, then mash Fair so it buffers or run off and get the footstool. 60% of the time, it works every time!
Just don't hit them to let them live.

The title of this series is 90% of all Smash 4 combos. Though I'm excited for silly shinnanigans like this and possibly cool mix ups Alpha can find.

Another tech is using the top of Clouds side B on your opponent while they are by the ledge and you're recovering then up B.

Over 2 years and no sequel ):
Just to note that this tech will only work on characters with crappy horizontal recoveries. You'll have to use a nair before cross slash or just do this really low in order to catch someone like Robin. Also, never try this on Marth since his recovery is too fast for you to footstool him

+Kor-al Refe That thing might be useful, just because a full cross slash offstage is good to kill, so people tend to DI in. Not because it's Alpharad or whatever. You will be surprised at how techs that are labelled "60% of the time it works everytime" are actually working most of the time... as mixups, indeed.

It can also connect into climhazzard for the 'cloudcide'. It can be true at times.

100% of the time it might work.
Now another for glory thing Great, a note for this who don't like this Note(s): it can be counter footstooled so bye bye cloud, just read where the cloud is positioning said self and save your jump with a counter.( or just avoid him)
Please redo the footstool tech and silly grab release. They genuinely made me laugh and, especially true of the grab, actually work.
They'll fit right in with this new format. What was it? Be good and don't be bad? Whatever the outro line was, it was great.

that is like the way I do it but instead of side B to footstool I use standard B to footstool in a low to middle percent
i feel kinda bad for that poor falcon
If you use kirby, jump off a cliff, then mash jump like your life depends on it, you can footstool a lot of bad players. Also, never spit them out unless it's under the stage. (People will usually mash out before you die; it's easier to get the footstool in result. Also, sometimes you have to read their DI.)
I feel like you should cover Robin's ArcThunder to DAir tech if you don't already know about it.
You have a similar tech with Palutena : nair to footstool offstage ;)
