  • The members at the Exeter club have worked so hard to get this far on track laying. They have had so many hold ups or delays. With the delays the cost of materials for building the bridge have gone sky high. Something a small club cannot afford. They rely on takings from these steam ups, then the weather is wet again!
One day it will happen, they will complete the line. We send our very best wishes to all the members. We will visit again soon we hope.
We also see in the video the Model Railway club that is located in the building, some good layouts on show.

There is a clear commitment here from the Exeter MES members to complete the line and I wish them the very best in their endeavours.

You dont see many small scale Lynton and Barnstaple style locos, cracking stuff.

She was a little cracker. We do see a few about but not that many in steam Mark. We have one in the club but it's still being built. Don't think we can make the Bluebell gala, but could be in the area later in the year.

Looks like it will be a nice set up when finished. Strange to see paving slabs being used and not ballast. Wonder why that is?

It is because the grounds are an ancient Priory, They are are restricted on digging or doing major ground work on site. They are very lucky to be even using the grounds. Hope that helps.
