I literally didn't believe it, at first. I saw the same thing, again when I was watching one of my world news programs on Newsmax, recently because it displayed something about it on the scroll on the bottom of the screen summarizing various news items. All I know is that his family said that he passed away in his sleep & no cause of death was given, yet--if any. Paulie & Mickey have since passed away, as well. Burt Young passed away in October of 2023 & Burgess Meredith passed away in September of 1997, I believe. Carl Weathers passed away, yesterday & why the news of it is coming out, now is beyond me. Be that as it may, it's a real shame... Carl Weathers passed away, too soon...

RIP Carl Weathers, you will be missed. Under appreciated during his life, he was one of the best movie actors of his era.
Apollo: "No playin', no jivin', just business!"
Also Apollo: "Get your cameras ready! Watch this now! Watch this! He's going down! Here it comes!"
Underrated comment
Haha then he throws a bolo punch! 😂
0:58 *”Now who’s that? Al Capone?”* 😂😂
"I don't sweat you." 😂 😂
😂😂😂
Creed was mad when rocky pulled the list LMFAO 😅
Creed: I WILL DROP THIS MAN LIKE A BAD HABIT
Reporter: what are you going to use the money on rocky?
Rocky: well you see i had uhh. . . A *list* right here ya see,-
Creed's mind: *oh god he brought a list, where is ivan drago when you need some shut eye*
He did not like that list! Lol
"How 'bout some clowning shots, Apollo?" LMAO!
Billy Hennigan does this look like a circus to you man
"come November you're mine"
I love that usually it is Apollo bringing the circus to the table. But now, he is serious. He could always back it up before but now there was doubt, externally and internally. The worst part is that Rocky is humble, likeable and unintentionally making people laugh. It is almost like Rocky is not taking him seriously though that is definitely not the case. It's a case of everything to lose vs everything to gain.
The fact that the normally loud and feisty Mickey was silent and smiling for this scene tells me he was TOTALLY IN ON ROCKY'S MIND GAMES BEING PLAYED AGAINST APOLLO FOR THIS CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!
STEJTHEGREATEST I don't think Rocky was intentionally doing mind games. 😄 But I think Mick knew it would *look* that way, so he let Rocky continue to get Apollo's goat.
Ricky wasn't playing Rocky was dumb yku must be dumb too if you watch da movie and didn't realize that
Rocky was so down to Earth in this scene! LOL!
I love how Rocky is so simple and humble
Apollo’s face when Rocky starts reading his list of things to buy with the prize money!😂😂😂
Southpaw jinx nothin!
1:40 the frog..whats his name,,kermit??
Carl Weathers was astonishingly good in this franchise. It's actually mind blowing. Every single scene he's in he steals.
"I'd like to get a couple of hats..."
Rock, you only ever wear the one hat!!!
💀💀💀💀
I always liked watching the look on Creed's face when Rocky starts talking about the stuff he's going to buy with the money he earns from the fight (pay the rent, some Muppet toys, snowcone machine for Paulie, etc). It's like for a moment, Creed's expression softens, but then he has to remind himself that he's out to destroy this chump (but secretly, he likes him).
Apolos beef isn't really with rocky or the media or even the hate mail. It's with himself. He has to prove it to himself.
Amazing to think that eventually Rocky & Apollo would become good friends, best of friends. What a character arc on both their parts. And what a dynamic that existed between Rocky & Apollo, going from hostility to a warm, endearing friendship. Amazing!
RIP Carl, you showed the ultimate class of a Boxer.
I get Apollo is trying to be determined but Rocky is too great of a guy to be insulting.
RIP to Carl Weathers, Tony Burton, Burt Young, and Burgess Meredith
So sad to watch
So sad to watch
"Now whose that Al Capone?" Apollo was such a great showman 😂
Rocky is so pure :'D
0:21 Apollo was like "I know there is an insult in that statement somewhere" 🤣
'70s: the Golden Age of Boxing, in cinema AND real life.
I love how Paulie goes along with the whole snow cone machine thing lmao
the look of childish glee when Rocky mentions it
0:53 i like how Mick is just enjoying the whole thing
Both guys hit their roles completely out of the park. Hard to find movies this good anymore
Paulie's face at 1:49 after Rocky asks if he likes snow cones 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“I don’t know. He looks pretty mad.” 😂
R.I.P Mr. Weathers
Apollo is such a great antagonist without really being a "villain" damn this scene is great. Rocky is just being himself.
R.I.P., Carl Weathers.
I got a notification from the FOX News app on my phone around the time I went to lunch, today saying "Actor Carl Weathers of 'Predator', 'Rocky' & other various roles passes away at the age of 76.", or, something like that.
Carl Weathers passed away, too soon...
this is GREAT acting by both Stallone and Weathers. rocky appreciative of the rematch, all awe shucks & happy go lucky. all the while Apollo is absolutely SEETHING, especially next to Rocky seemingly making light of the situation. brilliant acting.
1:13 great line
I love how calmed and funny Rocky is and how humbled Rocky is,that's how you do it.
Rocky's #1 priority: Rent
Rocky's #2 priority: Hats
2:07 "come in november your mine"
I cant come, its november😔😔😔
Oh shut up loser
The guy playing Apollo really sold this scene, you just don't see acting like this these days, a well written character portrayed believably and wonderfully.
“Come November You’re Mine.”
Carl has massive stage presence. Best casting decision Sylvester ever made. 👍
Apollo is the only guy in movie history that can go from biggest villain in franchise history to the most loved besides Adonis.
RIP Carl. You entertained well.
I love this movie, there’s no good or bad guy here, all internal conflict and to see who’s the best. You are given the option to choose who to cheer for.
Rocky always sounds high
Yeah lowkey
Lmao Rocky is so happy and friendly while Apollo ready to square up lol
R.I.P. Carl Weathers (1948-2024) 🕊🕊🕊🕊
Thank you for the memories, Carl Weathers.
Apollo: Come November, you're mine!
Rocky: ... Love you best buddy!
Rocky:😁
Apollo:😡
RIP Tony "Duke" Burton
R I P Carl Weathers 🌹🙏🥺
I love how Apollo seems to nod his head when Rocky mentions paying his rent with the fight money, as if to say "Ok, he's taking care for his bills first, I can at least respect him there" but when he talks about buying a snowcone machine, Creed looks at Duke like "I almost lost the fight to this clown?".
This is basically the boxing equivalent of Goku versus Vegeta. I love how chill Rocky is in contrast to how driven Apolllo is.
0:04 I like how Mickey looked entertained by creed's promo there!!!!
The difference between arrogance and humility. Great performance from both Sly Stallone and Carl Weathers.
Apollo Creed is still the best character that Stallome has ever dreamed up.
Apollo ready to kill someone while Rocky legit just vibing
RIP Carl Weathers. You put up a great performance as an actor; however, I can't say the same for your athletic ability because I don't know how good you are as an athlete. I look forward to watching some of your movies. Rest in peace, sir.
