- You and Office Safety! is the most hilarious video on Office Safety you will watch! Made in the 1950s, this film is perfect as an eye-catching ice-breaker when delivering office safety training. Although the fashions have long-gone, and some of the behaviours in the workplace have changed, this program still addresses the following topics which are just as relevant today as when You and Office Safety! was made:
•Good Housekeeping
•Slips, Trips and Falls
•Manual Handling
•Electrical Hazards
•Fire Safety
•Correct use of Office Furniture
•Being Responsible for your Actions
Its easy to consider the office a perfectly safe work environment, and forget about the hazards that can exist. Just because you work in an office, it doesnt mean you shouldnt be concerned for your own health and safety, and that of your colleagues. Copyright Safetycare

Welcome to the offices of Tripp, Klutz, and Hazard.
So many sound effects seemed to happen back in the 50s, people just don't make these cool Bugs Bunny cartoon noises anymore
0:45 just screams "When the workday is over, I'm setting this office on fire".
Meanwhile, in the offices of The Three Stooges writing team…
This office is one of the most accident prone I've ever seen, really funny.
I've been using doors for a number of years now and haven't had this problem.
He seems rather calm, considering hes just had hot coffee thrown all over his face.
All this video is missing the "whooomp-whooomp-whooomp-whaaaaaaaa" literally every 10 seconds.
"...or a red umbrella"
Has to be red, remember. Those blue ones are much safer
Apparently, car crash noises and slapstick comedy were the chief source of non-productivity in my grandparents generation. ;)
this made me cry, i havent laughed so hard in a while. they legit hurt themselves
I find it funny that the woman just runs away at 1:47...
And I just love how she shrugs and sports that "Well, just another day at the office" type look and doesn't seem to give a shit at all at 2:00. XD
That eficiency chart is hilarious! rofl
spilling your coffee 10$ stabbing your boss in the chest with a led pencil priceless,
I showed this video to my safety class this morning. They loved it as I showed it just before they presented their UA-cam safety video (term) projects. Quite the contrast! The boss handing his cigarette to his assistant as he is about to extinguish the fire is hilarious. Thanks so much for posting this.
Alright, how about this rule... KNOCK BEFORE YOU OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!!!!

"Vaudeville Act" by Harry Bluestone, and the one before that is called "Dig It Baby" by Nino Nardini.
This is the funniest safety film ever! The presenter's speel at the end is still just as relevant today. Nice one!
at least the guy who tripped over the trash bin had the courtesy to put it back upright as he fell! ;)
Use the handrail signs are so important. I never think to use them if there's no sign.
Funny! I think office efficiency would rise if they moved the filing cabinet.
A lot of these things have happened at my school, except for the stuff with hot coffee
I never knew how dangerous the office could be!
This is some final destination stuff right here....
damn those red umbrellas!
So what did we learn, hmmmmmmm? Don't open the door!
Those old typewriters were definitely lethal weapons...

Office ergonomics designed by Howard, Fine, & Howard...
Funny video, but very true!
This video is definitely an A-Z of what not to do in the office.
I felt like I was watching a Tex Avery video with all those sound effects but filmed in live action with an 8mm kodak brownie camera...
This seems old and corny but the basic lessons like paying attention to signs and reporting hazardous objects are still applicable to today's office settings.
This is like worst care scenario! :O and also when that coffee hit his face, HE WOULD BE SCREAMING!!! LOL! :D
The 'catchy' music playing is called "Vaudeville Act" by Harry Bluestone.

That one guy was in the Shawshank redemption
Stop dropping pencils!!!
We are so lucky that some people survived the office
Although this video is old and funny, office safety is no laughing matter and office safety is always up to date. We may laugh but we may learn at the same time.
whatever you do DONT USE A RED OR GREEN UMBRELLA
The Phil Silvers Appreciation Society presents...!
move the file cabinet and the desk so the plug outlet is hidden
This is hilarious! I know it's supposed to teach office safety, but it is still good for a real good side splitting laugh!
We 100% agree. The version we offer for sale has this line edited out. It is great however to see how far we've come in terms of Equal Opportunity and Harassment issues.
Nobody takes office safety seriously... hence why we've added these sound effects
How does anyone get any work done around there?
Funny!
Yooo... careful when you open the door!
We 100% agree
Is that Shatner doing the voiceover????
So if I'm hazardous at work I have all the girls falling all over me? I like this!
oh me oh my cabinets, doors, AND pencils at work?! what has this world come to?
So, was this actually made in the 1950's? Or is it a modern video made to look like it? Because if it WAS just made to look the time period, whoever did it did a pretty good job.
I would hate to work there :O
You better watch out for those red and green umbrellas.. Very very hazardous
Where are the 3 Stooges when you need them?
or a green umbrella
We survived the 50s through those fail-proof bomb exercises.

Do these people work at Sight Gag Inc?
Something tells me this company wasn't in business very long.
You've never been to a ninja office building? There's nothing -but- booby traps. Keeps the wrong people from getting in. But even for them, safety is very important and should not be ignored! Remember: A safe ninja is an efficient ninja! And lord knows we still need stealth assassins on the market.
LOL

I thought the sound effects were over the top.
I also gotta agree with cracked at 2:17- what is going on there?

Sort of ironic..the office safety video keeps showing those 9 inch asbestos floor tiles...
OFFICE WORK it's dirty job but someone has to do it

These are some of the most unfortunate people I've ever seen...
They got the ideas of all this from Looney Tunes tell you!
Did they did this on purpose to be funny, or was it unintentional?
