    Have you gotten renters on Furnished Finder in the past 6 months?

    I'm new to Furnished Finder and thank you for this insight. I'm not planning to renew it has not connected me to any one even after communicating with the announced new subscribers.

    • @midtermrentalconsulting
      @midtermrentalconsulting  6 місяців тому

      You are welcome. I also declined to renew... for two reasons: 1) I'm not getting any leads from there/nor are any of my clients; and 2) Furnished Finder acts like they could care less about their hosts or guests. They up the prices while not making any major changes to the site. They come across as entitled and lazy and I think that's a bad look for the business.

    I also learn that 1/1 is the best floor plan for traveler in my area. I ended up locked up 1 bedroom and marketing it as a 1/1 instead of 2/1. Because nurse doesn’t want to share. 😅

    • @midtermrentalconsulting
      @midtermrentalconsulting  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, I think some tenants are driven by privacy and others are driven by cost. Cost will be okay sharing, but will be negotiating the rate, etc. Privacy tenants will pay more for the luxury of having their own unit. Thank you for your feedback and for watching!

      @@bdelight5422 just verify RN license & verify travel contract via paperwork from employer. RNs don’t have criminal backgrounds they have it run with drug screen per contract & aren’t trying to rent beyond work assignment.

    I hope I can ask a question. I have a house that has a great layout for midterm rentals. The house can be rented in full to one family. It can be rented as 2 units 1 upper and one lower. It can be rented as 2 rooms in the upper and the basement studio. I want to market it all ways and whichever sells first I will run with at that time.
    My question is should I do 1 listing of like the basement studio and then do add-ons of each different unit or do each unit seperate at the $149 price each? I’m just trying to figure out what the benefits are to doing the separate or all together.

    • @midtermrentalconsulting
      @midtermrentalconsulting  8 місяців тому +2

      I would avoid doing rent by the room. If it's possible to do 2 separate units with their own private entrances, kitchens, etc- I'd go that route. Rent by the room only works if it is fully occupied and that's a hard thing to do. It also requires a ton of tenant maintenance.

      @@midtermrentalconsulting ok let’s say I rent the upper and lower of the house. (One is a basement studio) and the upper is a 2 bed/2 bath house. Would you do each one separately on Furnished finders for $149 each or would you do the upper at $149 and do the basement studio as an add on for $99. Wondering if there is any benefits with either way?
