  • The COVID-19 pandemic has fueled the largest continued backsliding in vaccinations in three decades with tens of millions of children across the globe missing out on vaccines, exposing them to deadly, preventable diseases.
Conscious of this situation, the 2023 edition of UNICEF’s flagship report, The State of the World’s Children, examines the current state - and future potential - of immunization around the world and sets out current challenges to reaching every child and young person with life-saving vaccines.
UNICEF Eastern Caribbean Area office launched this report at the UN House in Barbados. Senior Minister and Minister of Health and Wellness in Barbados Dr. the Most Honourable Senator Jerome Walcott, the Representatives for PAHO/WHO and UNICEF gave remarks.
