      @@yiviarts What OP is asking is where he learned the fundamentals. Which I think is a very good question seeing as he has great foundations.

    I seriously didn't know the mesh deform modifier could do that, so that's how you rig your hair, seriously amazing

    Small pro tip for those who use shortcut keys!
    (Also I think it's a new feature at 3.0v)
    In sculpt mode you can quickly swap to a different object if you hover on it and press:
    Alt + Q

      It's used to be D. 3.0 messed with some of the default shortcuts, which is so far the only thing I noticed that annoys me in the update. Good to know.

    Truly beautiful.
    But damn, having faulty face recognition really hurts if you want to sculpt. I even struggle making a good face in character redactor in games.
    Can you tell me, how did you learn what "beauty" is?

    is there honestly no way in blender to have curved wireframe that you can work on ?.. I do not know, it is the one thing that I really do not want to go back on I guess.. probably I am missing something but, emm.. when I try and use blender and look at others modelling in blender it is all similar to when I first started 3d with lightwave 5.6 metanurbs.. most of the work done in non subd mode then subd and all good.. just.. often it is impossible or you need to use expand and contract selections etc to actually find the points that you want to adjust...
    I keep hoping to see someone to make a modelling video that gives me some hope that I can just not have to pixel hunt, I do not know... something like my ancient vid watch?v=F8nq-QZElLY that yeah I am insanely embarassed about, even 9 years ago.. if anyone has the time to look at ua-cam.com/video/F8nq-QZElLY/v-deo.html maybe, emm.. can have multiple meshes and the ability to change the subd on each, but at the fundamental level just xsi by default would let you click where a vertex should be and it would select it.. I do not know.. the world thinks that I am a baby for giving up on 3d hehehe
    I think I first tried blender before lightwave 6 was out.. it was a game engine back then... like very cool, I think the onle other competitor was blitz3d which while it didnt have a gui I remember recomending to a young cousin who was lost, lol.. not ceo at lego or so hehehe.
    Blender I loved since it was the first that did realtime IK.... all that I remember... I have used it off and on over the years but mostly in file conversion hell situations where every single app is worth a try.. I know how to model in it, it is just.. exactly what I say.. like it is missing the tiny bit of coding to make your wireframes be what your object is, or I am missing everything and an idiot.... I will code it myself if anyone feels like pointing me in the right direction ? :).. like a hint.. I do not know, lol
    Me just learning maya or max again purely because the bastards raped xsi to the point that they made it workable is not a fucking nice way to go back into 3d, autodesk can eternally suck my balls :)
    I added the vid since hehe, you can honestly see that I do not think that one way is better or whatever, if you watch it you can see that I put in time to make it so that I could have multiple options of using any single way that works, and I use multiple ways just for something as simple as that... that is how it should be in every app, lol... fast forward 9 or so years and blender doesnt have that ?

      retopology

    • @1Searene
      @1Searene 2 роки тому +1

      It's retopology: basically when you sculp something it ends up having a lot of polygons, which makes it have a really large file size and makes it very demanding on your computer if you try to animate it. Therefore by creating a new mesh using the shape of the old one (which had the unnecessary amount of polygons) you can have similar levels of detail without sacrificing performance (The old sculpted mesh can be deleted afterwards)
