** It's really easy to hear the bass, although there are a couple spots where I can't tell if I'm imagining a light pluck or not.
The bass basically follows the kick drum, but it sounds like not every hit of the kick is plucked on the bass. I've tried listening through a few different speakers and headphones and can't tell. I went to the live videos, but there aren't many of the song. The ones that are there are mostly David Gilmour on his own, and none of them really show the bassist because it's focused on Gilmour and/or Roger Waters if it's Pink Floyd. So, if you think/feel like the note should or shouldn't be there, then play it or don't. On the Delicate Sound of Thunder recording, it sounds like the bassist plays the kick drum note almost every time, but the rhythm overall is noticeably different than the track, though the feel is the same.
I'm using my ears and my best guess with the tab and the resources I could find.

I'm going to use finger style for the whole song since Roger waters uses it and I can't tell for which parts he switches styles. The other bassist also used finger style and I think it sounds better than pick for the whole song.

I’m a newbie… and I’ve been practicing this for three days and I’m half way finished! This is a FANTASTIC tutorial. The tabs are saving my life…. So fun! Well… the song is a little depressing, but I’m having a blast playing it!
I have the same Schecter Stiletto Studio bass, only mine is the four string version. I bought mine used from Japan, in excellent condition at $420 usd shipping to Norway included. I call that a bargain, for an awesome bass guitar. I find it a comfortable bass to play, and I like its sound. Thank you for the nice cover play, and the play along tabs. This song has always been one of my favourite Pink Floyd songs.

Steller performance. I have a problem with hand placement. Your videos are a great help i slow them down and have improved, so thanks for your help. The moving tab marker really helps me with my timing. That has improved too.

I've been playing this song with TABS for a while now (I follow a different guy) but that arrangement has a section in it that just goes all over, making it very difficult to follow. Don't get me wrong, its a very nice arrangement and cover but the physical limitations of my fret hand make it impossible for me to play.

Outstanding as always. Just curious... Why did you switch from playing the B notes on the A string to playing them on the E string partway through the song?
Good question! I switched because in the videos I was able to find, in the beginning the bassists (usually roger waters) was on the 2nd fret and then at the end was at the 7th fret. I have linked in the description the videos that show this and that’s what I followed
