The 4th solution, "awesome photo finder" worked great for the problem I was having. I would highly recommend this bit of free software to anyone needing to check 1 folder at a time. The interface is a little clunky (no drag or drop), but the results were so easy to understand and I could delete or launch the picture from the application.
@@RndJil Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder costs no money. But it has a downside: You have to click the delete button for each picture. I had 13000 duplicates. But there is a csv export and I know a little JavaScript. So I wrote a NodeJS program that reads the CSV and deletes the smallest of two duplicates.
is there a software on windows 10 to feed-in a picture (my face for example) and it search through a given archive, to find the matching face/photo? similar to what police do to find a suspect
@@default1082 One great option for facial recognition on Windows is Mylio Photos. This software offers advanced face detection and tagging capabilities, allowing you to scan and search your photo folders for matching images of your face. It’s available on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices, so you can access and organize your photos across multiple platforms1. Another option is the Photos Legacy app on Windows 10 and some versions of Windows 11. This app includes a People tab that groups photos by similar faces, making it easier to find images of specific individuals
Regarding the 4th possible way. Is there anyway of putting some kind of space bar in one folder to separate photos. If possible, then to take all photos and put them into one folder and space out each group of photos in one folder and have it all scanned and then recreate folders when finished?
Would really like to know the Fast, most capable program for this. Don't care if I need to pay. Just want to learn one platform and be able to go through Tb after Tb of files and phots.
Hi there, thank you for your question! Open the Photos app in the sidebar, click on Duplicates to view all duplicate photos and videos then select the duplicates you want to merge click Merge [number] Duplicates to keep the original photo and delete the duplicates. You can find the deleted duplicates in the Recently Deleted album, where you can recover or permanently delete them.
@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware I think I knew about this but in my mind I was thinking something to “select similar” for photos - either for Mac or iPhone 🤔
I have the pdf software and the lack of a link to find this product is on par with the company and my experience. All they want me to do is buy again. How dumb can you be to not have a link. I'll look elsewhere since I'll have to search again anyway. Sad.

This is so hectic. Well, If you have same photos in two different formats then simply open the folder and in the search of of that folder, type the file format you want to delete, all the files with that particular format will appear, select them all and delete. Simple as that, work smarter not harder. Thank you!

I use dropbox to backup a lot of images, like thousands, but they have different names since the app uses date/time to label the file. Is this a way to help me find & delete duplicate images that have different file names?
Hi there, thank you for your question! The trial version of Recoverit only supports scanning and previewing files. If you need to download files, you need to purchase the full product. At the same time, Recoverit provides a free version, which supports free download of 100M data.

Is one of these tools able to compare a single photo with all photos of the laptop? Thank's very much!
That first one is going to end in tears if not set to 100% similarity.. and I hope it checks pixels placement, exif and file sizes.
Would be great if you could share some links to those programs !
