Remember, according to the novelization, Godzilla understands that it was the humans who transformed him into this. He was perfectly content with being the last of his kind until humanity made him the first, and it is for this reason that he punishes us, not because he's evil but because he couldn't imagine possibly feeling more alone.
“It’s a scene that defies belief. A giant creature on the loose, trampling Ginza underfoot! Tearing whole buildings apart! The Nippon Theater, beloved icon of the people, is crumbling before our eyes! The Ginza District survived air raids but not this! This monster has turned it to rubble! And now the monster is coming this way! I can see its enormous head passing in front of us! It’s dangerously close!”
He had less than 15 million, but now with how much they earned in revenue they can added WAY more detail and better quality, not saying this films quality is bad because it deserve that reward but imagine what he could do with 100 million
The detail of Godzilla's dorsal plates protruding out of the back and back down is like control rods you see in nuclear reactors, when he shot out his atomic breath and hit the tanks, it created an explosion like how a nuclear bomb went off.
Godzilla from the advancement of science. Godzilla has come to punish mankind. Human’s greed born the monster. Godzilla is a monster from our own heart.
I think using the Chi-To was much better. From what I understand by the end of the war there where two fully completed Chi-To. On top of that, there were a further six completed hulls along with two more turrets that hadn't been attached to the hulls. It would make a lot more sense that Japan could have somewhat quickly finished them off. The Chi-Ri on the other hand had only one prototype completed (bar the main gun) with no production lines set up for it by war’s end.
@@TSM_Enjoyer Not really, the main gun was to be the Type 5 75mm gun that is the same as the one on the Chi-To that are seen in the film. To be honest the Chi-Ri was a bit of a waste of time and the Japanese figured that out too, as they stop development to focus on the Chi-To At the end of the day the Chi-To was a much more practical all round vehicle, here are the wiki articles on them if you wish to learn about them a bit more. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_4_Chi-To_medium_tank en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_5_Chi-Ri_medium_tank
@@michaellynes3540 I've seen no evidence for that. It was due to be armed with the aforementioned Type 5 75mm gun. The only difference with the Chi-Ri was that it was going to have an auto-loader, where as the Chi-To was manually loaded. I think the whole 88mm gun idea came from world of tanks a game that has ,let’s just say, a VERY loose interpretation of history when it comes to how it represents vehicles in game.

Ya know that roar during the end of the attack? There he stands alone in a now dead field sowing chaos and destruction by simply being there, he looks up at his work and sees that which scarred him, and that which created him... I don't think that was a roar of triumph, I think it was a cry of pain and rage all in one, so much hatred he must feel as he wounds the whole world the way we wounded him.

I could see this line being said both in 1954 and here in 2023. This movie was really great.
The sheer fact this only cost 20 million to make is just incredible and a wake up sign for Hollywood.
It's lower, it's 15 million.
@@smithrex6202 The director stated he wished he had 15 million, its actually closer to 4 or 6 million, 15 million was the total plus advertising

That tail swipe was wicked
The atomic breath scene literally blew my Mind the first time i saw it 😭
The iconic theme when Godzilla shows up at Ginza go so hard
3:57 that roar probably echoed across The greater Tokyo region
I've never hated the kaiju as much as I did during this film. I was so glad they stopped him
I was just in awe, tho I like to think everyone including the monster was affect by wat
You do realize he is regenerating right?
For now…
You realise I watched the rest of the film?@@notrgamingyt

1:03 if you can hear this, RUN, and don’t stop
Noriko: Is that… Godzilla?
Truly a survive or death situation 💀
We're in deep trouble when the king of the monsters shows up and start destroying half of the city
I watched this in theaters, then watched it again at home. The terror I felt then was the same as watching a showing of the OG Godzilla. Good shit.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki gave birth to Godzilla.
Don't stop MF'er keep running!!!
This always cracks me up when the people stop to see how bad it is :)

Are the chi-ri ranks stronger than the tanks that shot at Godzilla?
