Not only another example of KEXP bringing great music to people (which is what radio is SUPPOSED to do, instead of the waste of time that commercial radio has become) but again shows to have superior sound. I don't know who Kevin Suggs is, but I've noticed his name a LOT in the past while because whenever I hear something sound this good, I make a point of reading the credits. Kevin Suggs: You are a credit to your profession and to what has me addicted to KEXP. Thank you for your work!
I'm here after your post 7 years later, because I wanted to show a friend an example, that sometimes a kexp live recording is even better than the official album :D
Never heard of these dudes but that guitarist is one of the few who can solo in minor pentatonic and still make it sound fresh. I'm super impressed.
I never heard of them until last night. Really impressive guitar work. Good support backing the guitar as well.
Los estoy siguiendo desde hace unos años pero siempre vuelvo a ésta performance para el tercer disco. Me sigue sorprendiendo su poca notoriedad.
Great quality for something filmed at the end of the sixties !
Setlist:
0:15 Sunday Mourning
4:05 Power Child
12:11 No Cops
15:00 Egypt Berry
nice one
I have been so fortunate to have seen these guys LIVE many times and met Danny Lee Blackwell their frontman, he has always been very nice, approachable & humble.Their music transcends time & space and I will always be a fan.
Ohhh how I love this band!
I saw them play yesterday this was one of the best gigs of my life. Amazing sound and attitude. The drummer hit his head with his stick and there was blood all over his face. He kept playing and was happily smiling.
She's a really great radio host, real positive and knows good music. Awesome stuff KEXP!
Fabulous. Heard them on Ipswich Community Radio last night. Blown away.
Shit I haven't listened to these guys in too long.
10/10 still the best riffs.
Saw them live a couple of weeks ago and they blew me away...
So cool the bassist dancing. More dancing in the rock'n'roll !!!! :)
This shit is FIRE
Probably why Danny Blackwell is sweating so much lol
Отличный саунд, ребята. Спасибо за Ваш музон!
Egypt Berry is probably my favorite song by them. In the last 2 mins of the song or so, they just shred.
YESSSS. my fav band
First KEXP performance interrupted by ads. What a shame. Such a masterful performance by the boys and documented exquisitely by Mr. Suggs.
Blown away - it’s just Phantastic 🎉
Discovered this band through the black angels
That drummer! Wow! What an amazing band! Another GREAT KEXP performance!
KEXP Rules...
This guys are amazing live, we saw them in San Diego a couple months ago.

these guys are a truly exceptional group, happy they finally did a kexp set!
What a great band they are.

It's about time they have their own filmed kexp performance
love the chuck berry meets the Nile feel on Egypt Berry......I got a chuckle from that when I 'got it'....terrific band, see ya'allz in Detroit!

Yeah, man! Nice sound
I really can't believe these guys are from 2000s :) I feel like i'm in 60s when i'm listening to them..
Just checking through my local shows, decided to check these dudes out. Great shit. Why isn't this kinda music more in-style?
Check out the Black Angels if you like these guys!

15:14 As a drummer I recognize this "waiting for the band to start" boredom.

This guy could be the next human riff. Watch out Keff, I love these band.
Yo this man kilt the guitar
Rad
Sign me up on the FANS list please! DAYUMN!
Come post apocaliptic Uruguay!
Doc Sportello singing?
The singer looks like Quentin Tarantino !!!
looks like John Belushi (Blues Brothers)
That’s rude
@@wcwilken No, in a certain maner, it's true.
And his voice sounds like Marty Balin's one. Not the same, of course, but anything like that.
hot
Anyone noticed the vocalist is wearing his headphones the wrong way? :P
Ранавей би ФО тамору найт ))
rough and gallop to the point ..... pressure ...
John belucci still doin it
good thing they got a drummer ...
I can't hear his voice at all?.. other then that everything sounds great
I gotta say the sound is not great in this one...which is shocking to me. KEXP normally sounds perfect. They sound like they are in a tin can.
The sound is great because that s how they want to sound my friend.
What happened to the old bassist, Tarek ?
holda kæft et fedt band
where’s high noon blues
Power Child is too fast and I don’t get the lyrics anyway - guess it’s not important
good other then that though
Somethings just wrong about this :/
shite solos
