4type hair doesnt like to be wet too much. When you keep wetting it you are opening and closing the cuticles. Be careful from hygral fatigue. When they say hair grows when its dirty they mean they dont constantly wash hair weekly/daily. wash days usually takes a lot of manipulation hence causing less length retention

Maybe alternate methods if concerned like ponytail holders to stretch the hair and sit under a hooded dryer. Air drying causes more brittleness for some people

Your hair shiuld definitely be moisturized when you do a blowout! You should never apply heat to dry hair. You should get that blowout right after deep conditioned. Like doing a deep condition then absolutely smother your hair in leave in conditioner put a plastic cap on, sleep with it overnight then get the blowout. I PROMISE you, your hair will be happy, healthy and mosturized. Use low heat when doing it too. Guaranteed you gon be on a different level

Every time I ask my stylist to braid my hair without blow drying she always say she gotta blow dry it 🤔
because the work is 10X cleaner and last ten times longer. it was better for me to just not get braids then to not get blow dried
