I accidentally dropped my iPhone 6 and broke it so decided to give a try to the google pixel xl and the phone was good... yet im back with iPhone now (iPhone 8plus) my personal opinion... no android cant compare to ios.. like ios is just simple... and easy... and freedom wise... there is not a single thing i did on the pixel that i haven’t done on iPhone :)
Hungry Henry get the pixel 2 xl, your ihone x will turn of at 70% battery life as soon as the new iphone is out, my dad upgraded his iphone 7 to ios 11 and was not abble to use his phone for two days straight, it was shutting of at 70% battery, the phone would charge for 3 hrs and after he unplugged it turned off immediately, he had to restore it to factory setting and after that still, it sometimes turns off at 50% battery and wont turn back on untill you plug it in for 30 minutes and leave it alone. I still have a nexus 5 and it works perfectly fine after 4 years of use and i recently bought onplus 3t and i love it, both fast and smoth af
You should ask him to try "setting it up as a new iPhone" instead of restoring from a previous backup. The issue may lie within the backup he restores from. If you think things like that doesn't happen with Android you've just been lucky, for now.

Hey man, so I was playing around with the Iphone 7 smart battery pack, and managed to get it working for the X after some toying and chipping away. Thought it might interest you. Works like a charm, with the smart battery indicator in Notification Center and everything.

The camera, it is the smartest of any phone. The data it can process, the quality of autofocus and STABILIZATION anyone? Google photos, calendar, drive, assistant, all are much more useful and accessible than the Apple counterpart. You get unlimited high quality storage for 3 whole years. In contrast, the only two things apple would do better is 1. 4k 60fps( but the stabilization won’t be up to pixel standards and I would be fine with 4k 30 fps with an unshakable camera and unlimited storage) and 2. Apple ecosystem ( now you can sync all your iMessages and google ecosystem is as good as Apple’s). So the only upside of the Iphone would be the ability to turn yourself into a beautiful POOP emoji. Android updates were critical in the old days, where you were really missing out on features if bought a phone from samsung, htc, lg etc., but nowadays my 7.1.1 Note 8 packs more features, than (yet to be available) Pixel XL 2 with Oreo onboard. Switched from iPhone 7 to Note 8 because Apple could not get their shit right and even fix the damn widget curtain. The only thing I want to see in my Note 8 is a floating video playback option, not to be confused with multi-window, more like iPad. And a stock theme with FULL landscape mode.

Trap Google is a much bigger brand than Apple, sorry. Their stock alone is worth 4x more per share. Google phones have a skin that works best with android. I think you're mad because you have to shell out $150 extra for a phone that isn't any better than the 8plus besides the display. Trap Google is a much bigger brand than Apple, sorry. Their stock alone is worth 4x more per share. Google phones have a skin that works best with android. I think you're mad because you have to shell out $150 extra for a phone that isn't any better than the 8plus besides the display. I'm an apple fan I love their tablets and computers (depending on the use), but their phones never impress.
